  • Perfect House for a Large Group

"We rented this house for our group trip to Provence in October. The house is in the perfect location and easy walk to town & a short drive to local villages and tourist sights. St Remy has a lot to offer with beautiful restaurants, great markets & it's own charm. The house was extremely well equipped and we never ran out of crockery, cutlery & glasses. Everything was in working order & there was plenty of room for a large group. Dominique was always able to be reached by email or phone. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a fantastic Provençal experience."

  • great location

"Apartment was spacious light, bright and quiet with lots of windows so plenty of fresh air. Everything needed for a great stay and comfy bed. Shower was difficult, shower head would not stay up and it was small and didn't feel sturdy - freestanding spa shower. Walk up building 4 th level and lots of steps but once luggage up not a problem. Location was great, near markets shops restaurants. Evelyne was very pleasant to deal with and the apartment was good value. Washing machine and free wifi both great."

  • Charming accommodations in the heart of St. Remy

"During our week stay, we were delighted with this charming townhouse situated on the lavender-studded grounds of a former villa. Proximity to an excellent bakery and to the heart of St. Remy within several blocks walk made for a great start to the day and easy exploration of this lively town, its wonderful restaurants and shops, and its splendid Wednesday market. Being located on a main road out of town also made getting out to explore the surrounding environs and sites easy. The house is bright and airy with shutters and doors open. Everything was clean, well organized, and well maintained. We loved the spaciousness of the kitchen/dining area and the cozy living room that led to a small patio area, especially nice for morning coffee or an evening drink. The two upstairs bedrooms are quite comfortable, and the bathroom is nicely appointed. Armoires and a downstairs closet offer sufficient storage for clothes and suitcases. We very much appreciated the amenities such as Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, and dishwasher, as well as the starter supplies. Having a dedicated parking place within a gated community is a big plus as parking is hard to come by in busy St. Remy. Although it was quite warm during our stay, having no air conditioning was not a problem. Rotating fans are available in the upstairs rooms. Do bring a sleep mask if you want to leave the shutters open at night for air circulation. The townhouse is situated between two well-traveled roadways, leading in and out of town. Passing traffic does mean that some of the tranquility of the surroundings is lost; this isn’t a major drawback if you are prepared for it or are used to some street sounds. On weekends, motorcyclists and cars seemed to delight in racing noisily through town. In terms of overall space, this small house is probably most ideal for two people, although four people can certainly be accommodated. It is a most welcoming place to return to after a day of touring. Margaret, the owner, is as delightful as her townhouse. Her instruction manual for the house is extremely helpful, as are her recommendations for restaurants, shops, and places of interest to see. Speak with her ahead of time, and she’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have. She’ll also send you her recommendations ahead of time so you can start planning your stay in St. Remy. We are already longing to return."

Provence Travel Tips

Reserve Provence Rentals and Explore the Local French History

While traveling throughout France, a visit to Provence is in demand to see many of the region’s breathtaking views and attractions. Enjoy the seasonal lavender fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, historical chateaus and even local abbeys found near Provence rentals.

Venture out from Provence Rentals and Enjoy the Natural Wonders

During the summer months, your Provence accommodation offers easy access to expansive lavender fields found throughout the local region. You’ll love the beautiful colors and photos that look much like a postcard. These wild lavender fields are accented by golden wheat fields seen throughout your Provence travel destinations, and serve as a gorgeous backdrop to many famous sites in the area and a highlight of your France vacation.

Choose a Provence Accommodation and Visit the Three Sisters

Senanque Abbey, Silvacane Abbey and Thoronet Abbey are known as the "three sisters of Provence," and are easily accessible from Provence rentals. These 12th-century abbeys were built to house monks of the Cistercian order. Enjoy a day away from your Provence accommodation, touring the church, dormitory and chapter house found in the abbeys. If you prefer, your Provence travel can even include a hike in the hills surrounding one of the abbeys, complete with a picnic and scenic view of surrounding lavender fields.

Include a Visit to Javon Chateau during Your Provence Travel

Built in the 16th century, the Javon Chateau served as shelter for many knights during the Renaissance period. This site, found near Provence rentals, evokes the feeling of stark royalty complemented by well-kept gardens. This Provence accommodation has been owned by the same family for the past five generations, and was recently used during the Second World War. Currently, the chateau serves as a private residence and cannot be toured, though the exterior offers beautiful photo opportunities to remember your Provence travel adventures.
