  • Hilltop gem ...

"Who knew? Tucked away at the very top of the Sablet hills is this beautiful, comfortable, thoroughly up to date little home with all the conveniences you could ask for. Very well suited for 4 adults (in our party) or a family of 4. 2 very comfortable bedrooms, one full bath and one "half bath" (shower + washstand) upstairs, with a powder room/ toilet downstairs. Washer and dryer (!), fully-equipped kitchen, separate dining room and cozy, secluded outside patio with grill complete the package. The website describes the property accurately but the place itself is much nicer than we expected. Both the owners and the local (expat) property manager were very nice, very helpful and very easy to work with. The only caveat - Sablet is a small medieval village wrapped around a hill, and this property is at the top. It is technically possible to drive to the top but the road is very narrow and parking very limited, so we parked down the hill in the village and walked up. it's not that far but it is somewhat steep and cobblestoned so be aware. Once your stuff is in the house it's just a short walk down the hill to the pizza place, the Tourist Information office (if you're interested in the local wines be sure to visit the TI for a nice surprise) and the little grocery store. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would highly recommend it."

"An exceptional property in a magnificent setting within easy reach of the best that Provence has to offer. The information pack provided by the owner prior to our arrival helped make our stay a delight."

Provence Travel Tips

Reserve Provence Rentals and Explore the Local French History

While traveling throughout France, a visit to Provence is in demand to see many of the region’s breathtaking views and attractions. Enjoy the seasonal lavender fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, historical chateaus and even local abbeys found near Provence rentals.

Venture out from Provence Rentals and Enjoy the Natural Wonders

During the summer months, your Provence accommodation offers easy access to expansive lavender fields found throughout the local region. You’ll love the beautiful colors and photos that look much like a postcard. These wild lavender fields are accented by golden wheat fields seen throughout your Provence travel destinations, and serve as a gorgeous backdrop to many famous sites in the area and a highlight of your France vacation.

Choose a Provence Accommodation and Visit the Three Sisters

Senanque Abbey, Silvacane Abbey and Thoronet Abbey are known as the "three sisters of Provence," and are easily accessible from Provence rentals. These 12th-century abbeys were built to house monks of the Cistercian order. Enjoy a day away from your Provence accommodation, touring the church, dormitory and chapter house found in the abbeys. If you prefer, your Provence travel can even include a hike in the hills surrounding one of the abbeys, complete with a picnic and scenic view of surrounding lavender fields.

Include a Visit to Javon Chateau during Your Provence Travel

Built in the 16th century, the Javon Chateau served as shelter for many knights during the Renaissance period. This site, found near Provence rentals, evokes the feeling of stark royalty complemented by well-kept gardens. This Provence accommodation has been owned by the same family for the past five generations, and was recently used during the Second World War. Currently, the chateau serves as a private residence and cannot be toured, though the exterior offers beautiful photo opportunities to remember your Provence travel adventures.
