  • It doesn't get any better than this!

"La Pauline is absolute perfection as a place to base your stay in Provence. The home itself is wonderful--an old family home beautifully furnished for comfort, with art and music at your fingertips and it is surrounded by gorgeous grounds. St. Rémy de Provence is charming--many good restaurants--and very convenient for traveling to other spots in Provence. We visited Les Baux, Arles, Tarascon, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Gordes and Roussillon with ease. And, Solange is the perfect hostess, friendly and accessible and always ready to meet your needs. We cannot give this property a high enough rating. Come and enjoy!"

  • Terrific Experience

"Spent two terrific weeks in this villa. Was great for just my wife and I, but would handle another couple easily. The home was clean and and stocked with every amenities we needed. The home is located within a 5 minute walk a very good market. Just another couple of minutes into town, which is a very lively town, fun to sit and have lunch with the locals. Very good restaurants. Also within driving distance of many of the small hills town, just a terrific place to headquarter in Provence. The owner David could not have been nicer or more willing to help with any question. He has put together a terrific book describing all the restaurants in the area, big help. Could not recommend this property highly enough. One more point, unlike a lot of other properties, this home has a wonderful yard to enjoy for outdoor relaxing or eating."

  • A wonderful place to stay

"We had a wonderful time at La Calisanne. Very pleasant owners to deal with and where any questions you may have from the time of booking to and during your stay are taken care of promptly. They have thought of literally everything and there was not one thing we would have missed or wished to be different. A special note also to the absolutely fully equipped kitchen, something we have never experienced throughout our many rentals and which is appreciable for someone preferring to cook a good lunch or diner. We found everything to be perfect for the house, ammenities and surroundings! The house is located in a wonderful area, very quiet though close to the village. You won't miss any comfort here as everything has been arranged and thought of with great care. Well designed, bright and sunny interior with a lovely garden (plenty of lights at night if you wish so) and a superb pool which has an absolutely fantastic view. A great place to wind down, relax and enjoy the tranquility. If you like to visit like we do, you have plenty of charming villages nearby within a short driving distance, the sea being less than an hour away and on your visits, you can enjoy one of the restaurants on your way or take a break and visit one of the many wineyards for wine tasting and to fill up your wine cellar again. We highly recommend the house and place and will certainly retain it in our favorites for futur "Provence Verte" visits."

Provence Travel Tips

Reserve Provence Rentals and Explore the Local French History

While traveling throughout France, a visit to Provence is in demand to see many of the region’s breathtaking views and attractions. Enjoy the seasonal lavender fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, historical chateaus and even local abbeys found near Provence rentals.

Venture out from Provence Rentals and Enjoy the Natural Wonders

During the summer months, your Provence accommodation offers easy access to expansive lavender fields found throughout the local region. You’ll love the beautiful colors and photos that look much like a postcard. These wild lavender fields are accented by golden wheat fields seen throughout your Provence travel destinations, and serve as a gorgeous backdrop to many famous sites in the area and a highlight of your France vacation.

Choose a Provence Accommodation and Visit the Three Sisters

Senanque Abbey, Silvacane Abbey and Thoronet Abbey are known as the "three sisters of Provence," and are easily accessible from Provence rentals. These 12th-century abbeys were built to house monks of the Cistercian order. Enjoy a day away from your Provence accommodation, touring the church, dormitory and chapter house found in the abbeys. If you prefer, your Provence travel can even include a hike in the hills surrounding one of the abbeys, complete with a picnic and scenic view of surrounding lavender fields.

Include a Visit to Javon Chateau during Your Provence Travel

Built in the 16th century, the Javon Chateau served as shelter for many knights during the Renaissance period. This site, found near Provence rentals, evokes the feeling of stark royalty complemented by well-kept gardens. This Provence accommodation has been owned by the same family for the past five generations, and was recently used during the Second World War. Currently, the chateau serves as a private residence and cannot be toured, though the exterior offers beautiful photo opportunities to remember your Provence travel adventures.
