  • An Ideal Place to Experience Provence!

"The moment we stepped into Le Grand Tilleul we were in love with it. It is an elegant, spacious, tastefully decorated stone house, built by our hospitable hosts, Genevieve and her husband Jean Pierre. The house was spotless and had everything needed for a family of five. The pool is large and was well used every day. The grounds are nicely landscaped and fit perfectly into the county setting, surrounded by vineyards and view of the hilltop town of Goult. The photos do not do justice to the house and grounds - they are much nicer than the photos. Genevieve's English is excellent and she provided a lot of helpful advice on what to see and do (including a good spot to see the Tour de France 5km away)."

  • A real gem

"We stayed for four fabulous weeks over August and September 2014. The apartment has everything you could possibly want for a great stay. It is well-appointed, well-located and Holly and Jon could not have been more helpful. Holly has ensured the apartment is comfortable by refurbishing it both tastefully and with the best of appliances and fit-out. The apartment is right in the centre of the old town. A walk out of the gate sees you in Place des Cardeurs, with its wide variety of restaurants, and at the end of that is the town hall square and the daily markets. A seven minute walk and you are on Cours Mirabeau. Aix-en-Provence is a pretty and vibrant town and is itself within one to one and a half hours of the many lovely towns in Provence and the coast. Holly’s place is a real gem."

  • Hoping to Return!

"My husband and I spent a month at this wonderful house. We had friends visit us while we were there and the layout worked well for us. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the courtyard for apres cycling drinks and appys and evening meals. Most meals we cooked at home with ingredients from the local markets. We have wonderful memories of bbq dinners and drinks with friends. We also had a couple dinners at La Petite L'histoire a wonderful small restaurant in the closest village of La Chene. The terrace overlooking the countryside is perfect for morning coffee. I miss it terribly! We had thought we wanted to rent a house in a village but after staying out in the country found that we loved it. We cycled almost everyday to a new destination. It was very centrally located to visit all the hilltop villages and superb cycling for all levels. The ambiance of the house is wonderful. Rustic, Provencal, creative. Some evenings were cool and the kitchen fire was wonderful for warmth and character. Internet was phenomenal. It worked on the terrace, in the courtyard, in the bedrooms and with multiple devices. Marine was very helpful with all questions we had and delivering our lost luggage twice! She met us at a nearby location to take us to the house. The house was clean and well-equipped. We would definitely recommend a stay here. And hope we can return :)"

  • Nicely detailed, spacious, private and comfortable!

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! We spent our days touring the area and then enjoyed quiet evenings of relaxation in the private home, in a quiet neighborhood. The house is so nicely done in finishes, decor, furniture and all of its details. We thought we might even enjoy bringing more of our family or friends back to stay in the whole house, since it was so spacious and comfortable. Either way we hope to return to enjoy the area and stay here again!"

Provence Travel Tips

Reserve Provence Rentals and Explore the Local French History

While traveling throughout France, a visit to Provence is in demand to see many of the region’s breathtaking views and attractions. Enjoy the seasonal lavender fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, historical chateaus and even local abbeys found near Provence rentals.

Venture out from Provence Rentals and Enjoy the Natural Wonders

During the summer months, your Provence accommodation offers easy access to expansive lavender fields found throughout the local region. You’ll love the beautiful colors and photos that look much like a postcard. These wild lavender fields are accented by golden wheat fields seen throughout your Provence travel destinations, and serve as a gorgeous backdrop to many famous sites in the area and a highlight of your France vacation.

Choose a Provence Accommodation and Visit the Three Sisters

Senanque Abbey, Silvacane Abbey and Thoronet Abbey are known as the "three sisters of Provence," and are easily accessible from Provence rentals. These 12th-century abbeys were built to house monks of the Cistercian order. Enjoy a day away from your Provence accommodation, touring the church, dormitory and chapter house found in the abbeys. If you prefer, your Provence travel can even include a hike in the hills surrounding one of the abbeys, complete with a picnic and scenic view of surrounding lavender fields.

Include a Visit to Javon Chateau during Your Provence Travel

Built in the 16th century, the Javon Chateau served as shelter for many knights during the Renaissance period. This site, found near Provence rentals, evokes the feeling of stark royalty complemented by well-kept gardens. This Provence accommodation has been owned by the same family for the past five generations, and was recently used during the Second World War. Currently, the chateau serves as a private residence and cannot be toured, though the exterior offers beautiful photo opportunities to remember your Provence travel adventures.
