  • Vieux Lyon Cour Renaissance

"Brigitte and Steve were gracious property owners..staying in touch prior to my stay and at the door to greet me, show me how equipment worked, even info for a reliable Taxi company for trips to the train or airport. Brigitte thought of everything in the kitchen, dishwasher, a real cooktop, freezer, linens and serving dishes...plus lovely gray&white stenciled bed linens, which she came in, changed and replaced with towels the 2nd week of my stay. For restaurants, I chose lunch on the 4th floor, over looking the gardens at the Cafe Gadagne/Musee( about 1 block away). After shopping for fruits and vegetables ( over the red bridge look left), I had lunch at Jols, restaurant de poissons fruits de mer, all fresh from the sea. Attended a Schubert concert at Maclay(donation) & Jazz Concert(free)both at Parc St.George( a 15 min walk..if you do not stop for crepes or ice cream). While there visit & shop for fine silks at Solerie St. Georges. Art is everywhere but especially at Vis Art Gallerie,26 quia Romain Rolland, on the way home from shopping, say hello to artist Sofie and An. I loved Lyon..it is a great walking city with helpful and friendly residents. PS You will carry Vieux Lyon with you. ...Enjoy."

  • Discovering Lyon

"During our stay of 3 days in Lyon we were able to discover the city easily with the use of the Lyon Card. This provided 2 days of sightseeing on the Hop On Hop off Bus and river cruise.. The 3rd day was spent in the Beaujolais Region on a small group tour. We highly recommend both of these. Our apartment in the Confluence area was ideal, well equipped for self catering and convenient.Steve and Brigitte provided excellent information prior to our arrival and met us to show us through the apartment. After 4 weeks in Europe it is Lyon we are still talking about to friends and family. Merci beau coup Steve and Brigitte."
