  • Great location, quiet apartment

"Located within a 5-7 min walk to the Metro or 20 min brisk walk to the Galleries Lafayette and Printemps, this cozy apartment is all you need for a short or long stay. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed and fantastic black out blinds. I had the best sleep of my entire 3 week vacation the nights I stayed here. Just note that it is an older building so the stairs are narrow and it is on the top floor so there are plenty of them. This wasn't an issue for me but could be for others. Stephanie, the owner, was lovely to deal with and very accommodating."

  • Girls getaway

"We had a wonderful week in this lovely home set in a traditional french village. This gite truly had everything we could need and more. The description and photos are spot on. But as you enter the foyer you realize this is what you have come to France for. An ancient home, perfectly restored, all the modern amenities, keeping all the charm. We appreciated the two sinks in the main bathroom and the extra toilet on the ground floor, as well as the extra shower on the top floor. We were too busy sightseeing, having a Kir at the Bar du Chateau, preparing dinner purchased from the Boucherie and two bakeries to watch any TV, but there are a lot of DVD'S to choose from. Tom and Sharon are very helpful with any questions and were always quick to respond to my emails. There is a great red folder with brochures for all the sights close by in the foyer. We especially enjoyed the village of Noyers sur Serein, Vezelay, Fontenay Abbey, Tanlay and the enchanting Chateau d'Ancy-le-Franc. The house is spotlessly clean, we never had any noise issues, slept well and were thankful we had found such a perfect vacation spot. Don't miss market day in Ancy. A week was not enough time to do everything and we look forward to returning to Burgundy."

  • The Best Location!

"My daughter and I stayed at this lovely studio for three nights. It was surprising how efficient and cozy the apartment is for its size. The high ceilings and large windows make it feel bigger. The apartment was immaculate and well appointed. The owner was extremely helpful and attentive. The location is within a 5 minute walk of Notre Dame and the Ile Saint-Louis and many charming shops. I'd stay at this apartment again!"

Rhone-Alpes Travel Tips

Rhone Alpes Vacation Rentals to Explore Eastern France

The Rhone Alpes region is located on the eastern border of France. Named after the Rhone River and the famous Alps mountain range, it is the on the border of both Italy and Switzerland. Like all regions in France, it is made up of several areas, called departments. This region has eight departments: Ain, Ardeche, Drome, Haute-Savoie, Isere, Loire, Rhone and Savoie. Due to its proximity to the Alps and Massif Central mountain ranges as well as to the Mediterranean Sea, the region has many influences on its climate. It is known to be variable; summers can be hot and humid and winters are cold and snowy. The region’s mountains are an attraction for winter sports enthusiasts.

Vacationers in the region have a wide choice of options for accommodation. There are charming hotels, local homes offering bed and breakfast accommodations, or rental properties.
