  • Pure bliss!

"We stayed at this beautiful cottage for two weeks over Easter and had such a wonderful stay. The cottage itself is incredibly beautiful and so well decorated - charming and homely and also very well equipped. The hosts were so helpful and friendly and recommended some fantastic things to do. The location is perfect - we'd never been to Normandy before so it was a bit of a stab in the dark, but we were close to so many fantastic places - Honfleur, Rouen, Deauville and the nearby Abbey in Le Bec Hellouin, which also has an amazing restaurant which is well worth visiting! We also enjoyed the local vide greniers (flea markets) and brought back some amazing french paintings and antiques. We will be back next year, and hopefully every year for a while! Such a beautiful place and whilst it was just my husband and I, it would also be great for a family with kids."

  • Our litle piece of heaven

"I expected a nice place from seeing the photos, but when we arrived we were delighted to discover that the cottage is even better than we'd thought. Beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, spacious and quiet ... this place is a gem. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous garden, and walking on the path alongside the river, which is just across the lane. The cottage is an easy drive from the tourist sites of Giverny, Les Andelys, Lyons-la-Foret -- all of which we explored, and more. After a long day of touring, how happy we were to return to our quiet, secluded cottage and eat dinner in our lovely garden. Closer to home, we spent a day exploring the cottage town's of Pont de L'Arch, which is just as pretty as Lyons-la-Foret but less touristy. We dined at the fabulous Auberge de la Pomme, which is within walking distance of the cottage. It's a bit pricey, but oh, so worth it! We also enjoyed the little bar two doors down from our cottage -- they served us cocktails to go! (They let us carry away their glasses, which we returned the next day.) This place was perfect, and an amazing bargain. We truly hated to leave."

  • Very Nice Property Near Giverny

"Spent four nights at this property at the end of may. Our hosts were very pleasant and non-intrusive. Everything was as advertised. The upstairs bedroom may be tough for folks getting on in years or with mobility issues. We just left our luggage downstairs. Also the tub was a bit of a challenge and had no shower curtain. Great access to Giverny and Les Andelys; as well as Paris. Restaurants and stores are close by. Clean and well maintained. An iron and ironing board would have been nice to have. Great fit for what we needed and an excellent property!"

  • Christmas an newyears eve at Chateau Sorel

"Friendly welcomed by the owner we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the chateau and its surroundings. Our 2 families, 4 kids, 3 dogs, had all the space we wanted, in the house but also outside with a fenced 30000m2 garden and as many forrest outside as you like. Nice and good equiped kitchen, a bit small but very cozy, and a perfect living room with great view over the lake and forrests. Our two families were sleeping in the smallest of the 2 houses, all decorated in a beautifull way. Our only complaint was the bathroom. One very small shower and 1 bathroom, both not really suitable for tall people. All together it was wondefull and we want to thank monsieur de Bazelaire for his kind hospitality. Tim Logge"
