"It was our first time in Santorini and Maria's Place was the perfect escape! Our vacation started well with Kostas meeting us at the port. We would have been overwhelmed if he was not there to pick us up! When we got there, Anna gave us a warm welcome; showed us to our room; and asked us to come see her once we got settled. She gave us so much useful information! Because of her, we were able to explore and enjoy Oia to its fullest!
Our room was perfect! It was nice and clean and had a great view of the ocean. We appreciated the daily maid service too! Maria's Place is in a great location too. It's about a 12-15 minute walk to town. Once you're in town, you had plenty of dining options. And the views...?! My husband and I kept pinching ourselves to make sure that we were really there.
Take the walk from Oia to Fira! It can be a bit of a challenge but you cannot beat the view! Plus you can take your time and stop at cafes along the way. Rent an ATV or car(rent it in Fira because they are much cheaper) and explore Santorini! My husband and I rented an ATV for two days and explored most of the island. We were able to see some cute and quaint towns along the way. Such a great experience! And of course, the food...! OMG, we could not get enough! Check out Kyria Niki's. It's a 10 minute drive from Fira on the way to the airport. They make the BEST tomato keftedes(tomato balls), awesome grilled white eggplants, lamb chops to die for and the BEST cocala(I think this is how it's spelled)-braised pig leg! My husband and I ate dinner there two nights in a row because the food is soooo good! It's a whole in a wall but amazing home cooking!
All right, enough of the food. Stay at Maria's Place because it's a great place. You can relax, unwind and find yourself again! And Anna and Kostas made the stay even better because of their "red carpet" hospitality! We would definitely go back!"

"Our Greek Adventure put us on the island of Santorini for 7 days. Our two family group (9 people) enjoyed House II and it met all of our needs. Sitting above Oia, we were provided with full sunset views and a perfect perch to look out at the town of Oia as well as down on the countryside vineyards. The two master bedrooms were very private and comfortable. Our older children took the loft, the 3rd bedroom and the sleeping area on the lower level. Although the kitchen was fully available and well equipped, we dined out to enjoy the local cuisine more than not. However, we did enjoy our breakfast as well as our "wine and cheese" time on the patio each day. Having many stairs and the driveway to the villas being very steep, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with disabilities, but it was totally do-able for our group. Above all...the staff was extremely helpful, energetic, polite and efficient. Eleni (our host) was extremely informative and ready to make reservations or help with transfers at a moment's notice. Either her or her staff was always available and on hand. They even carried our luggage up to the villa to avoid the steep drive! Eleni came to our villa to answer any questions, gave us a map of the area with suggestions of places to visit, and was on hand to wish us well as we departed. We walked to Oia several times, rented ATV and a car for the longer ride into Fira, although Eleni was available to order up a transfer ride and there was a public bus in front of our drive. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet and very scenic area, this is the spot. You are a short drive to more lively areas and beaches, but wind down here at the end of your day. The winery is 3 minutes away, and good restaurants are just across the street. Great times in 270 View!!!"
