  • Amazing place to stay on Santorini! We absolutely loved it!

"This villa is like a little piece of heaven on earth! It is beautifully decorated and very cozy. We sat out on the deck every morning and ate breakfast and enjoyed the wonderful beach and sea view. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Peter -- the property manager -- was wonderful! He made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us occasionally to make sure we were enjoying our stay. If you are looking for a place to relax with a family, just for a couple, or even a small group of friends (4-6 people), then look no further! The best part about being in the villa is that you can go out an enjoy the hustle and bustle of the island but have a place to return to where you can hang out on your own and relax without having to answer to anyone! The area is really nice and safe. We were so sad to leave this villa and if we ever return to Santorini, we know where we will be staying!"

  • Fabulous!

"Santorini was the "holiday" part of our trip to Europe and we couldn't have chosen a more relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The villas (we stayed in a smaller one the first night and DYO for 3)) are very spacious, well equipped, clean. Our kids (teenage boys) loved the pool and we enjoyed morning swims at Kathoros beach where we were often the only ones. The hot tub was a bonus too! Rebecca was incredibly helpful and available to book anything we wanted/needed (incl a sunset sailing trip on a yacht (max 12 ppl) which was well worth it). As per the description, the villas are situated outside of town about a 10 mi walk uphill to get to the center of Oia. We did not mind the walk (even did our grocery shopping in Oia by foot) and enjoyed being away from the crowds in Oia. if you are a runner, run early in the am (before 8) and through the town of Oia up to a small church with amazing views (it's on the footpath to Fira). You'll have the town pretty much to yourself!"

  • Quixotic Oia at Lydia House

"We had an amazing 2 weeks living at Lydia House! There are very few properties in Oia that compare to the location, setting and comfort of this house. My wife and I have visited Oia before, and wanted to bring our 5 children to experience the magic of this incredible island and town. Living in an authentic cave house made the visit so special. But the best part of our stay was our host, Manos and his associate Kiki, who made the whole experience personal and unique. The house has plenty of room, is very well equipped and has a modern design aesthetic that blends with the 300 year old cave so well. Manos is an accomplished architect, and his mastery of lighting and space is apparent as you hang out in Lydia House. We appreciated the dipping pool after a day of exploring. The beds are all extremely comfortable. The outdoor spaces were our favorite. The roof deck offers a front row seat to the magnificent Caldera - we enjoyed many sunrises and sunsets from here! The dining table on the terrace in front of the house has equally as amazing views... Lighting candles, preparing a simple Greek salad, and eating fresh baked bread from the bakery was a favorite evening activity of ours, when we weren't eating at one of the many fantastic restaurants steps away. Being at the end of the old section of Oia, just a few steps away from the fort that serves as one of the most famous sunset vistas in the world, is an ideal location. The house is tucked just under the main walking street, so it is peaceful, quiet and serene... but just a few steps away from the best part of the village. Do yourself a favor and book this house!! Thank you SO MUCH Manos for such greta memories of Oia and Greece!"

  • Fantastic!

"We stayed at the Villa for a week. It was perfect. Panos and Olga were great hosts. They welcomed us, connected with us during our stay to ensure we were having a good time and guided us to the airport on our departure. We are a family of 5 and had more than enough space. We didn't even need the bottom level. The Villa is clean, beautiful and very peaceful. Just as shown on photos. We had a car for the whole week and managed to see ALL of beautiful Santorini. It was easy to get around and parking was never an issue. I don't think it matters where you are on that island, if you want to see all the beauty on your own clock you need a car. We enjoy remote and peaceful environments, and this villa was in the right location for that. All the major sites, beaches and towns were a short drive away. The small village of Akrotiri had everything one would need from good food, tavernas and markets without having to pay tourist prices. Panos and Olga, extremely fluent in English, were very helpful with answering any question and making suggestions in regards to dining, beaches and any other beauties the island had to offer. The small family restaurant next door had great food and was perfect for take out after a long day of doing nothing at the beach. I bought a watermelon at the market beside and the nice couple that own it gave me a second one for free just incase the one I picked wasn't ripe enough yet. It may not be right in the thick of all the action, but you won't get the genuine local charm that comes with the territory. That is what we enjoy. Thank you to our hosts. You made us feel very comfortable and welcomed."
