  • Great Location!

"Gianna, Just wanted to drop a quick note now that we are home and recovered from the jetlag. My family and I had a wonderful vacation and thourghly enjoyed staying in your Galoeta Apartment fro 6 nights. The location was excellent, the apartment was huge with plenty of space for our family of 8. I loved waking to the sound of the Duomo's Bells. Gabriella was a delight as well as Beppe. The tour with Beppe was enjoyed by all, he is knowledgeable, friendly and able to engage everyone from age 15-69! We all loved Giannino's and spend several days eating or just having drinks there. The staff is welcoming and are excellent at their jobs, not to mention the great food. I feel like we made friends (actually we did via Facebook!). The memories that were created are priceless, we are looking forward to a return visit. Again, thank you for your assistance in arranging transportation and our Chianti tour. If you have any guests that would like to email or speak with someone about the apartment, it would be my pleasure. Kathleen Leaf DiMeglio and family Sunrise, FL USA PS the steps are a welcome pleasure after all the eating and drinking, not a big deal at all!"

  • Week in Heaven

"My husband and I, our daughter and her boyfriend, have just returned from a wonderful two weeks in Italy. The highlight, however, was our week staying at Residence Deneb in Praiano. It was very comfortable and felt like home! The photos are a true indication of what it is like. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the terrace of the villa, swimming in the rockpool below, getting to know some of the locals in the delightful village, and eating delicious meals at the restaurants recommended by Elena. Praiano is perfectly placed to explore the Amalfi Coast! It doesn't matter what the weather is like, and we had everything from rain to beautiful sunshine, there is so much to see and do. Elena provided us with a very comprehensive list of activities! We could easily have had two weeks! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives."

  • Florentine Sanctuary

"This is our fourth time in Italy and our first time using VRBO in this country. It was the best experience and trip so far and what made it extra special was staying at this apartment. Having all that space to unwind in after a long day touring the historic sites, museums and gelaterias made this trip memorable and relaxing. The bed is comfortable. The shower has good water pressure. And the kitchenette was convenient when we wanted to stay in. We went grocery shopping and I had my try at cooking with the local ingredients. We felt like locals. The owner, Simone was helpful and available when we had questions. We are happy that we booked this apartment for our trip. It dispelled all the anxiety that we had going through a private property. This apartment is convenient located at the center of the historic district. We walked everywhere and felt safe. Great restaurants are near by. So much to explore. We couldn't do everything that we wanted to in the two weeks we were there. Don't hesitate to book this place now. It's probably the best decision we've made on this trip"

Greece Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Travel to Greece Vacation Rentals

Greece enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with little regional variation. Summers are typically hot and dry, and rain occurs mostly in the cooler winter months. For at least seven months of the year, Greece enjoys a warm climate. The most pleasant months are generally May to June and September to October. July and August can get particularly hot, and you will find that most locals make use of a midday siesta to avoid the extreme heat. Many shops and restaurants close between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. which can be inconvenient if you are not aware of this. If you want to enjoy the warm climate and beaches, summertime is definitely the best time to visit Greece. If you have more of an interest in Greek culture and history then you may enjoy traveling in the off-peak season. Many of the major sites are found in and around the capital Athens which can get very crowded during the busy tourist season. It’s often more pleasant to travel around in slightly cooler weather and you can linger longer at the sites and attractions that interest you.

Traveling to Greece Villas

To get to Greece, there are number of different transport options. For travelers from North America or northern Europe, it will be most convenient to fly into Athens and from there connect on to your domestic destination. The Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is located in Sparta which is just outside of Athens. The airport is the country’s busiest and hosts several international airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights between Athens and most European cities. Travelers from North America and other parts of the world may need to route via London, Amsterdam or Madrid and then connect to Athens. For visitors from the eastern parts of Europe, there are good rail connections with Thessaloniki which is Greece’s main rail hub. During the summer months, there are frequent ferry connections between Greece and its neighboring countries. Many cruise ships also visit the Greek isles and this is a great way to explore the Mediterranean coast.

It was turned into a residential area in the 19th century. Although today it is mostly ruins, there are still several interesting sites worth visiting. Delphi is located approximately 100 miles northwest of Athens. It was once considered to be cultural heart of Greece and is linked to several well-known Greek legends.
