"I stayed at this property with a group of 10 women for 4 nights. We had an amazing time there and the Villa exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The views were spectacular, and we enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets every day. The bedrooms were luxurious, and all beds were very comfortable. There were many balconies and outside areas, and we all had privacy and space both inside and out. The owner was extremely helpful, and helped us to arrange meals (bringing in a chef for our welcome dinner) and have fresh pastries delivered daily for breakfast. The couple who manage the property became friends in just that short time, and they organised transportation, and also took us for an amazing full day guided tour of Athens, including a show and dinner. I would recommend this property for anyone considering a retreat, but transport is essential, as it is not within walking distance of beaches or restaurants."

  • Fabulous!

"Santorini was the "holiday" part of our trip to Europe and we couldn't have chosen a more relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The villas (we stayed in a smaller one the first night and DYO for 3)) are very spacious, well equipped, clean. Our kids (teenage boys) loved the pool and we enjoyed morning swims at Kathoros beach where we were often the only ones. The hot tub was a bonus too! Rebecca was incredibly helpful and available to book anything we wanted/needed (incl a sunset sailing trip on a yacht (max 12 ppl) which was well worth it). As per the description, the villas are situated outside of town about a 10 mi walk uphill to get to the center of Oia. We did not mind the walk (even did our grocery shopping in Oia by foot) and enjoyed being away from the crowds in Oia. if you are a runner, run early in the am (before 8) and through the town of Oia up to a small church with amazing views (it's on the footpath to Fira). You'll have the town pretty much to yourself!"

  • Holiday of a lifetime!

"We had the BEST two weeks in this marvelous villa! Immaculate, roomy, fresh breeze throughout, with a perfect balcony to watch the gorgeous bay and town below (not to mention the sunset). Everything you need is in the villa (and a bakery down the street). The owners couldn't be more hospitable - took care of everything and Demitrianna is the most wonderful local support you could ask for (she knows the best restaurants and bars on the island!!!) Guess you can tell we were extremely pleased with our stay and this fantastic villa. A great value for money. Our dream is to return ASAP!! Did I mention Syros is a sweet island? I could go on and on but I need to go drink an ouzo. Yasou!"

  • Great place to stay

"Stayed here for 4 nights prior to starting our cruise. The place was exactly as described and is very central to all the must see sights in the heart of the old town. We felt very safe and felt it was great value for the cost and recommend this location to others. Having a contact, Angeliki, a few floors below to assist was an added benefit. She helped us trackdown, receive and return some items we accidently left in the taxi. She really made our stay that much more memorable. If you do stay here, be sure to visit the roof top tapas bar that you can see from the window."

Greece Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Travel to Greece Vacation Rentals

Greece enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with little regional variation. Summers are typically hot and dry, and rain occurs mostly in the cooler winter months. For at least seven months of the year, Greece enjoys a warm climate. The most pleasant months are generally May to June and September to October. July and August can get particularly hot, and you will find that most locals make use of a midday siesta to avoid the extreme heat. Many shops and restaurants close between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. which can be inconvenient if you are not aware of this. If you want to enjoy the warm climate and beaches, summertime is definitely the best time to visit Greece. If you have more of an interest in Greek culture and history then you may enjoy traveling in the off-peak season. Many of the major sites are found in and around the capital Athens which can get very crowded during the busy tourist season. It’s often more pleasant to travel around in slightly cooler weather and you can linger longer at the sites and attractions that interest you.

Traveling to Greece Villas

To get to Greece, there are number of different transport options. For travelers from North America or northern Europe, it will be most convenient to fly into Athens and from there connect on to your domestic destination. The Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is located in Sparta which is just outside of Athens. The airport is the country’s busiest and hosts several international airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights between Athens and most European cities. Travelers from North America and other parts of the world may need to route via London, Amsterdam or Madrid and then connect to Athens. For visitors from the eastern parts of Europe, there are good rail connections with Thessaloniki which is Greece’s main rail hub. During the summer months, there are frequent ferry connections between Greece and its neighboring countries. Many cruise ships also visit the Greek isles and this is a great way to explore the Mediterranean coast.

Popular Attractions near Greece Holiday Rentals

Depending on where you are traveling in Greece, there is a wide variety of different attractions available. If you plan to spend some time in and around Athens, you can enjoy the many ancient sites the city has to offer. One of the most famous places to visit is the Acropolis which is the site of the sacred rock. This monument dominates the Athenian skyline and can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. It also contains the ruins of the Parthenon. The Agora was once the core of ancient Athens. It was in this large open space that many commercial, political and social events took place. It was turned into a residential area in the 19th century. Although today it is mostly ruins, there are still several interesting sites worth visiting. Delphi is located approximately 100 miles northwest of Athens. It was once considered to be cultural heart of Greece and is linked to several well-known Greek legends.
