"The home was very spacious and accommodating for our group of nine. We loved being able to use the kitchen, and especially the hot tub and sauna. The grocery store was right around the corner which was nice for the quick trips we needed. Very beautiful view out the back window and places to walk right in the backyard. Would highly recommend this home."

"My family had a great week staying at Hofdatun, with Thorey giving a very warm welcome from the start. The house is great, with lots of space, very comfortable, and in a good location for seeing the Golden Circle and South coast at a pleasant pace.
Also a great location if you want to see the Northern Lights. We saw them 3 nights out of 7.
We would definitely stay there again if we're fortunate enough to be able to visit Iceland again."

"We stayed at our host's home for four nights during our first visit to Iceland. The cottage is even better than described and pictured; the bed provides a great sleep, the house is laid out beautifully (artwork is wonderful!), and the owner is kind enough to leave all you might need for your stay- paper towels, clear instructions for trash and tv, extra towels, etc.
I can't convey how ideal the location is. The cottage is a stone's throw away from a great coffe shop/cafe, a square with quick food and nicer restaurants, and the wharf. Reykjavik is easily walkable, and the cottage puts you in the best possible starting location for exploration. There is space for rental car parking, and the home feels like home- it is in the oldest part of Reykjavik and provides a modern feel while also allowing you to stay in a true neighborhood and a house with personality and history.
Our host could not have been more wonderful to work with as we planned our trip. She provided helpful info and was always speedy with her communication. She set us up for a great experience, and we had one! Many thanks."
