"We had 19 family members from across the United States gather for a family reunion at Ballyvara House. It was the perfect venue for our large group ranging in age from 85 to 22. There are lots of accommodations that sleep 20 but very few which have 11 bedrooms which allowed all couples and singles to have their own room. We enjoyed the large lounge/bar area each evening and cooked most meals in the large commercial kitchen. The house is close enough to a Doolin that you can walk the path in the back of the house to the pubs and shopping. I would recommend Ballyvara House to anyone looking for a large rental home in County Clare."

"We rented this beautiful home for 10 days------ and felt at home from day one. The home and surrounding landscape are more beautiful than the pictures on-line. Martin and Tricia are so easy to work with. They gave us some wonderful ideas on what to see and how to get around Ireland. The welcome basket of breakfast food was much appreciated after a long day of traveling. From this home we were able to travel to Galway, Dublin, and as far as Kinsale. We loved the area and views right from the home. Looking out on the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands, walking around the area with the ocean, animals and greenry, the pubs in Doolin each night with great food and traditional Irish music, all made for a wonderful vacation destination. Can't wait to return to Ireland and Creig's Cottage one day!"

"Our top five reasons to rent Aisling Cottage, in no particular order:
1. A veritable, cozy "home away from home" with plenty of room for 4-6 people.
2. Charming Irish stone cottage near a bay and farm, complete with song birds, flowering garden, cows and other delights.
3. Ideal for day trips along west coast of Ireland - we went as far south as Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary and as far north as Moycullen and west to Spiddal in Co. Galway.
4. The Burren is a magical place where you will be treated to many wonderful people, scenic views and varied habitats.
5. Sean and Connie are the kindest and most hospitable hosts. They should be ambassadors for Ireland, particularly County Clare.
Must see in the region:
*Cliffs of Moher including the drive to and from
*Corcomroe Abbey ruins
*Flaggy Shore drive
*Kilmacduagh Monastery ruins
*Craft fair on Sundays in Ballyvaughn
*Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary
Places we enjoyed eating:
*Linnane's Restaurant in New Quay- seafood chowder is so fresh and delicious
*Egan's Pub in Liscannor - best homemade carrot cake we've ever had
*Hyland's in Ballyvaughn - great service and a surprisingly pleasing - squash, peanut butter, chili soup
*Old Ground Restaurant in Ennis - terrific baked chicken stuffed with mashed potatoes and wrapped in bacon"
