"We travelled with 5 other friends, and, upon our first sight of this wonderful stone house,
with its welcoming red front door, we all knew that " the wind was at our backs." We were simply charmed! Add to the first sighting, the spectacular views of the North Atlantic, cows grazing in meadows that rolled down to the Cliffs, and grasses that swayed with every movement of the air.....it was magical!
The accommodations were perfect for a group of our size, each with its own bath; the layout, with a large living room where everyone cozied up, a wonderful dining room where we hoisted our glasses and devoured local Black Sole, Galway oysters and Irish lamb, and an open kitchen where we gathered for our morning scones, worked beautifully.
The owners have thought of everything from the stockpile of Irish sweaters in the Hall wardrobe to waders and gear for hiking and walking.
When we wandered out to explore, which included grocery shopping, finding An ATM, playing golf, and even presents for our children, everyone was cheery, gracious and so helpful! Eating out was a pleasure as we roamed from the pubs in Doolin to gourmet dinners at well known local restaurants in Ennis.
We would recommend this property to anyone, whether golfers, walkers, ancestor hunters or just bookworms, who plop in the big old down chairs peaking at the fireplace burning peat, between chapters!!!!!
It is the best!"
