"We were unable to stay at Ballyportry Castle as it was already booked, but the owner was so helpful, kind and prompt in her replies that I wanted to give the castle a positive review for customer service. I'm sure the owner gives the same amount of care to her castle as she does her customers, which would make it a truly wonderful place to stay!"

"We spent a week at the O'Callaghan's Gentian Cottage in Doolin this July and it was perfect. We come to Ireland every summer and usually rent a cottage for part of our stay. Both the Gentian Cottage and its location made this summer’s stay the absolute best. We picked it because it was close to Doolin (Irish music !!) and very near to Lahinch (our favorite course in Ireland).
The kitchen is a very easy space to work in, fully equipped and with a table to enjoy meals at, the adjacent sunroom was nice for reading and enjoying the spectacular views. At night we often ate in and built a peat fire in the sitting area. All three bedrooms had great beds, and private bathrooms, plus an additional bathroom on the first floor.
Ann O'Callaghan was a wonderful hostess with a great personality, she even provided breakfast supplies as we arrived (eggs, milk, butter, soda bread, and orange juice). Do not miss her offer to provide a private tour of Ballinalacken Castle which is close to the cottage and dates to the 14th century.
This stay was perfect and I can’t recommend Gentian Cottage any more highly !!"

"After communicating with Seamus prior to our arrival in Ballyvaughan, with my many questions , which were always promptly and kindly answered, it was time for our drive to the Burren. We actually drove through the Burren to get to Ballyvaughan. Upon arrival at Sycamore House , we were greeted by Seamus,Mary and their daughter. We were given some great information about the area, shown around the amazing house, which is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The pictures do not do justice to the amazing views out the rear of the house. The house itself was spacious and comfortable. One morning was a little chilly , so we made a fire in the wood burning stove in the kitchen and it heated right up. We enjoyed walking into town to the pubs and restaurants and touring around the area. We really enjoyed our stay at Sycamore House and loved the town of Ballyvaughan. Although we were only a group of 6, this house would accommodate many more people very comfortably. Thanks to Seamus and Mary for providing such a wonderful stay!"

"" We stayed in Clahane Lodge last week and we were blessed with good weather which made the stay very enjoyable but I must say that even if the weather was not kind, this house is a perfect retreat, well appointed and in a superb location.
The views are outstanding from the spacious living room and with the benefit of the large windows, you could observe the changing light scenarios and the different moods of the Atlantic.
The design of the house was very well thought out and has everything that one needs for a nice break. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the house has a modern sound system which really adds to the enjoyment.
We will be back - If we can find any vacant weeks!"
