  • Fantastic Holiday House. Every Bit As Good As The Pictures Indicate.

"We had a wonderful nine days at the Doonbeg River House in September and we would have loved to stay longer. You can believe everything that is on the website and the reviews below give great accurate details too. The house is top notch and very comfortable. Our party started with 3, increased to 5, then to 7 (plus 6 mth old twins in travel cots) and then added another 2. Everyone was comfortable with plenty of space and plenty of bed linen, towels and pillows. The gardens are beautifully maintained and secure so the 3 year olds enjoyed great freedom. The welcome from Marian was super and she made us feel right at home straight away. Nothing was too much bother. We had a great holiday and have lovely memories. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the house to anyone and look forward to our next holiday there."

  • Fantastic stay at the Aisling Cottage

"Our year long anticipated trip to Ireland was far greater than we could have imagined. One week of travel and doing some family geneology was a total joy. But what capped off the entire three weeks was the last two spent in County Clare at the Aisling cottage. Ireland is fantastic, the west coast magnificent , the Burren mystical and the Aisling cottage pulled it all together. It was truly what we had hoped for in Ireland. The cottage itself could not have had a better feel and the hospitality and welcoming attitude of Sean and Connie made the stay so comfortable. They clearly go above and beyond to assure your comfort and enjoyment. We would definitely plan an additional extended stay at the Aisling Cottage if we are fortunate enough to return to Ireland. Thank you, Sean and Connie for a great experience. Anne Mullen and John Blumenstiel"

  • Amazing Cottage- Ireland at it's best!

"We just had a wonderful family holiday in Fanore Holiday Cottages where we stayed for a week. When we arrived our car had just broken down, but John and Ann offered to help us out with transport out to the shops etc until we got the car fixed. That was such a lovely Irish welcome, and completely unexpected! (and especially welcome as it was all a bit stressful at the time!) The cottage was really well equipped, and nicely laid out, with more than enough space for two adults, and two teenagers. There was also a very handy BBQ available, we used this a lot because the weather was gorgeous. There is a fire (which was fully stocked with turf when we arrived), which was really lovely for the evenings. It's funny, the weather was really warm, but a turf fire at night made the room so welcoming. We all sat around it in the comfy armchairs for hours (after all the walking and exploring we were wrecked!)....Lots of family chats in the evening there. The cottages are situated pretty much in the middle of Fanore (apparently the longest village in Ireland!), with amazing sea views (and sunsets/sunrises) and spectacular views over the Burren mountains, You can even see the Aran Islands in the distance (you can travel to them by boat from Doolin, which is a great day out. We visited Inis Oirr, saw a Minke whale on the way, as well as the local dolphin, who was hanging out by the pier. It was a great trip.). There is a pub with great food which is easily accessible from the cottages (O'Donoghues), which also does traditional Irish music. It is close to Doolin Village, which also does great Traditional Irish music sessions (a very easy drive from the house) You can also walk to Fanore beach which is one of the loveliest beaches in the West Coast of Ireland. The local Collie Dog even visited us for a few nights , which was quite charming (as were the resident cows in the field next door). There are also great walks in the area, one of which starts just above the cottages and leads over the mountains. All in all it was a fantastic holiday, and we're looking forward to coming back !"
