  • Perfectly Irish Home Away From Home

"Rental of this property ran perfectly from beginning to end. Owner was responsive to inquiries and easy to work with. Instructions for the house were clear and comprehensive. Local contact made handling issues convenient. The house was clean and well-maintained and accurately reflected in advertisement. In fact, the reality of the house was better than the photos due to the unexpected benefits of a library of great books, a stock of foul-weather gear able to be used, and all the comforts and livability of home. This home has an absolutely beautiful location and views. It is a short ride to Doolin and down-home pubs. Our family group enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Hotel Doolin. A very windy and rainy night resulted in a loss of electricity, but a call to the local contact resulted in an immediate response... within 10 minutes help was at the door. For each member of our family group of 6, this home was the favorite place of all our accommodations in Ireland during our 16 day tour around the country. Highly recommended!"

  • Amazing and Intimate!

"Frank and Marian have a wonderful cottage! And they are just the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. The views of the village and ocean from the cottage are simple breathtaking. My husband and I went there for our honeymoon with the only plan that Doolin would be our starting point. Marian was super and gave us really great advice as to where to spend our days for an authentic and fun experience. As well as how to avoid tourist traps. I highly suggest eating at the Roadford House. The food is to die for! Frank is a fantastic chef! The cottage was a great place as a central point for driving all around the county. You can find something to do everyday. It was an amazing experience that we hope to repeat in the future."

  • Five Stars Are Not Enough for this Spectacular House in this Spectacular Location!

"The Bridge House is warm, welcoming, comfortable and fully equiped. There are great views from every room. The bed rooms are all good size and the bathrooms are nicely appointed. Five of us were here for a week (sadly only a week, but we plan on returning). After a day out exploring our group could prepare dinner and sit around the kitchen table talking, eating and enjoying the views. We then retired to the living room, a warm fire, share photos and enjoy the music provided and plan our next day. Ana, the house caretaker, was kind and very helpful with all of our questions. The house is in a good location for exploring (or to just stay put and relax...think about curling up with a good book, a cup of tea and a fire). The local pub, O'Donohues, is a quick walk away. They have the best Guiness pour, fish and chips and staff (yes, we did a comparison of several other acclaimed pubs in the area). Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher and the fairy boats to the Aran Islands are about 1/2 hour drive. Galway is about 1-1/2 hour away. The Burren Perfumery on the way to Galway was a pleasent stop. Walkers, hikers and rock climbers will love the Burren. A good read on the area is Tony Kirby's "The Burren and Aran Islands, A Walking Guide". He also gives walking tours of the Burren. We booked a private tour with him and consider it one of the best things we did on our trip. GPS will be somewhat helpfull getting from Shannon Airport to Fanore and will help navigate the "round abouts" which can be confusing. GPS has its limitations, don't count on it exclusively. If you do get lost, the people are great, friendly and helpful."

  • Fantastic Holiday House. Every Bit As Good As The Pictures Indicate.

"We had a wonderful nine days at the Doonbeg River House in September and we would have loved to stay longer. You can believe everything that is on the website and the reviews below give great accurate details too. The house is top notch and very comfortable. Our party started with 3, increased to 5, then to 7 (plus 6 mth old twins in travel cots) and then added another 2. Everyone was comfortable with plenty of space and plenty of bed linen, towels and pillows. The gardens are beautifully maintained and secure so the 3 year olds enjoyed great freedom. The welcome from Marian was super and she made us feel right at home straight away. Nothing was too much bother. We had a great holiday and have lovely memories. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the house to anyone and look forward to our next holiday there."
