"This lovely, modern home welcomed us in for a magical week's stay just outside the village of Doolin. The views are gorgeous~ sunsets every evening; the lowing of the cows in the distance, an occasional donkey braying, few cars traveling by. The Irish air and soft mornings and evenings were quite relaxing. With a small convenience store just down the road- we could pick up anything we needed for eating at home; and there are great pubs and restaurants in the village, a very short ride down the hill. This 4 bedroom home, though large and open, felt quite comfortable and home-y. The space is bright, uncluttered and well furnished. The well-appointed kitchen ( clean and "neat as a pin") has everything you could want or need, including large refrigerator, dishwasher, plenty of counter space and loads of cabinets. Our favorite were the windows looking out to the water and beyond to the Aran islands. An easy drive to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Doolin Cave, ferry to the Aran islands...just down the road to Ennistymon and Lahinch- a perfect spot to land! We felt totally cared for and appreciate the kindness and attention shown to us by the rental agent. We feel truly fortunate to have found this gem of a vacation home and look forward to a return visit in the future."

  • Outstanding cottage and exceptional owner

"My family (2 adults 3 grown children) stayed for 10 wonderful days. The cottage was spacious and has everything you need. The views are incredible and the owner and family made us feel like part of her family. The attention to detail and service provided by the owner was more than expected. We highly recommend the cottage. We will be returning to Ireland and will be staying at the cottage! recommend flying in/out of Shannon Airport. The drive to/from Dublin was long and slow. Use Shannon and stay longer in the beauty of the Burden."

  • Fantastic stay in Ballyvara House

"For the second year running, we rented Ballyvara house for a group of 13 friends for the May Bank Holiday weekend. We had a fantastic and relaxing time here. The tennis courts had been redone as well as the five aside soccer pitch. All rooms were cosy and had Jacuzzi baths. The landlady left a beautiful welcome basket of homemade banana bread, coffee, brown bread and chocolates. The venue needs to be seen to be believed. Fantastic kitchen with every utensil imaginable and the options of two dining rooms. Great stay once again, we will return!"

  • Great time at Cahergal

"Loved staying here ! Four women, each with our own bedroom and bath is a luxury. Noreen and Michael were so good to us. Noreen made us scones and two kinds of bread. We got to meet some of the neighbors. Beautiful farm, lovely neighborhood, great location, super hosts - what more could you want ? If I come back to Ireland, Cahergal is definitely on my list."
