  • Girls Trip :)

"My friend and I take a girls trip every year and Ireland was our choice this time. We wanted to stay somewhere that would give us the small town feel and really get a sense of Irish living, but we also wanted to be close enough to all the wonderful sights/things Ireland has to offer :) this place was perfect! We stayed for one week and the weather was amazing, we are from Arizona (USA) so it was nice to escape the heat in July. The town house is super adorable and has everything you need. Pam is very helpful and wonderful, she gave us all the information we needed to make our first international trip as easy as possible :) While we were there we toured many castles and explored many towns that are a very close commute. We used all forms of transportation bus, taxi, train, etc. Balbriggan is a great place for those who want a slower paced relaxing vacation. But if you want to travel to the fast paced city it is available with a short commute via public transportation. We also traveled north to Belfast by train and did a tour at the titanic museum, which was very cool and I highly recommend. It did take up one whole day with travel time and the tour itself, but it was well worth it! There are so many other things we would love to have seen/done but you definitely need more then one week to accomplish all the great things Ireland has to offer. Hopefully we will get to go back to Ireland someday, and if we do then we will probably stay in Balbriggan again or close to it because we loved the area so much! Thank you Pam for all your help, your place in Balbriggan is an adorable, convenient, comfortable home away from home :) we loved everything about it!"

  • Perfectly Irish Home Away From Home

"Rental of this property ran perfectly from beginning to end. Owner was responsive to inquiries and easy to work with. Instructions for the house were clear and comprehensive. Local contact made handling issues convenient. The house was clean and well-maintained and accurately reflected in advertisement. In fact, the reality of the house was better than the photos due to the unexpected benefits of a library of great books, a stock of foul-weather gear able to be used, and all the comforts and livability of home. This home has an absolutely beautiful location and views. It is a short ride to Doolin and down-home pubs. Our family group enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Hotel Doolin. A very windy and rainy night resulted in a loss of electricity, but a call to the local contact resulted in an immediate response... within 10 minutes help was at the door. For each member of our family group of 6, this home was the favorite place of all our accommodations in Ireland during our 16 day tour around the country. Highly recommended!"

  • Like a four leaf clover

"Oh boy did we love this place. The castle, the setting, the lake, the forest…all better than expected. It's the perfect quiet get away. I'll admit that we didn't do much more than eat and check out the local scenery..and eat some more. The kitchen is fully equipped, and that means fully. We've been traveling around Europe for a year and often that means two pots and a pan. There is a great reference book with many of the local attractions and restaurants that was very helpful. I'll add to that list Kai restaurant in Galway (!!!) and a trip to Kylemore Abbey in Connemara. It's to the North and about an 1.5+ drive, but absolutely worth it. Also, Ashford Castle…more to the point, eating at Ashford Castle. The afternoon tea is amazing and the Fish and Chips I might actually swim back for. Our two weeks were amazing. I only wish my family could have been able to make it. The kids would have been in Heaven. It's also 100% Mastiff approved."
