"What a breathtaking and peaceful setting for a relaxing 3 night stay near Clifden! We were traveling through Ireland for 9 days and found this to be the most AMAZING rental property so far. EVERYTHING was available to make our stay complete and as we took a walk around Ballynahinch Lake we truly felt transported back in time. Our last morning there was our 10th Anniversary and to wake up in these beautiful surroundings, we considered ourselves more than blessed to begin the celebration day here. The nearby town of Clifden had grocery stores, darling shops, and friendly pubs. Our favorite day was an impromptu drive on the Sky Loop, with sandwiches and wine on the beach. This area is so quaint and if you bend an ear, you may hear the Gaelic spoken in lively conversation. Jean-Paul was so helpful and communicative throughout the booking process and our stay: what a lovely man! We would definitely book this delightful Old Manor again.... And feel like Laird and Lady once more!!!"

Dear fairy godmother, if I only had one wish it would be a castle on a lake in Ireland - Oh, thanks!
"Guys, this is not fair. We only had one week of time.
I wish we could have gone fishing on the lake way more often! I wish we could have enjoyed Tina's incredible tasty dinner way more often! I wish we could have hiked in the Connemara Mountains way more often! I wish we could have had more sunsets viewed from the castle tower. I wish... you get the clue.
This place is a gemstone! One that tourists occasionally pass by and take photographs because of its beauty. Every time we came came home it felt like being kings and queens. And even though the weather was pretty Irish during our stay, we always had it warm and cosy. Come here with close friends or your family, the castle accommodates 10-12 people comfortably as long as they don't mind sharing two bathrooms."

"We stayed for 7 nights with another couple in this home and it absolutely fit the bill. We used it as a base camp and did day trips to Cliffs of Mohr, Waterford and Gallway. The home has all the ammenities you could want and Mary Rourke was so helpful and friendly. We even found a private boat that took us on the river Shannon for a couple hours and left right from Portumna which was really great. Thanks for making our first trip to Ireland a memorable one!"

"We stayed eight days at the Coach House, and it was the perfect place for a visit to Galway and the surrounding area. With a full kitchen and plenty of beds and bathrooms, it felt like home. We cooked several meals in the well-equipped kitchen and were able to do laundry as well. We could easily walk to the city center and the nearby grocery, but also get away at the end of the day to a cozy neighborhood. Cathy was very attentive, as was everyone else we met in Ireland. We'd definitely stay at the Coach House again!"
