"We spent three weeks in Ireland and Connemara was our favorite part of the trip--in no small part because of the accommodation at the Old Manor. We have rented houses, villas and apartments all over the world, including 15+ trips to Europe. Apartment #2 has everything you could want and more. In all our travels we have never seen a washer and a separate dryer in any place we have stayed. Usually it's either wash it and hang it out, or wash it and dry it in the same appliance, a task which takes hours and leaves your clothes damp. Apartment #2 has not only a drip coffee maker and an electric kettle to heat the water, but also a real American coffee maker. But the most amazing thing--a food disposer in the kitchen sink--pretty much unheard of in Europe! So all the conveniences of home. Add to that a beautiful fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas and chairs, a well equipped kitchen (Nicholas Mosse cups are a rare luxury with your morning coffee!), comfortable beds, a wonderful book case full of volumes and volumes of fascinating and beautiful books--mostly about Ireland and the area, an enclosed courtyard just outside your back door, and cows grazing in the meadow next door. It's idyllic.
There are only two things on Lough Ballynahinch--the Old Manor and the Ballynahinch Castle, now a luxury hotel. So in the evening, we strolled around the Lough to the castle to have a drink in the bar. The path is storybook--shamrocks and moss and rhododendrens blooming--even a little waterfall.
Jean-Paul, the caretaker, is charming, very helpful and French! So, all in all, the ultimate host.
Live like a king--go to Connemara and rent this lovely place. Connemara is magical and this apartment is perfect!"

"We stayed eight days at the Coach House, and it was the perfect place for a visit to Galway and the surrounding area. With a full kitchen and plenty of beds and bathrooms, it felt like home. We cooked several meals in the well-equipped kitchen and were able to do laundry as well. We could easily walk to the city center and the nearby grocery, but also get away at the end of the day to a cozy neighborhood. Cathy was very attentive, as was everyone else we met in Ireland. We'd definitely stay at the Coach House again!"

"We stayed for 7 nights with another couple in this home and it absolutely fit the bill. We used it as a base camp and did day trips to Cliffs of Mohr, Waterford and Gallway. The home has all the ammenities you could want and Mary Rourke was so helpful and friendly. We even found a private boat that took us on the river Shannon for a couple hours and left right from Portumna which was really great. Thanks for making our first trip to Ireland a memorable one!"
