  • Perfect address and great amenities!!

"We had such a wonderful time at this lovely apartment. There were so many nice additions, like a heated floor in the bathroom, a separate freezer to appease the Americans ;-), top notch appliances, a comfortable bed and a lovely sitting room. On top of the great condition and perfect location (only a few blocks from town and shopping), the owner prepared a delightful basket of food for us that fed us our breakfast and snacks throughout our stay. Fresh flowers adorned the dining room table. We really enjoyed the town and the option to escape quickly back to our little nest. We're looking forward to going back. I couldn't recommend this lovely apartment higher."

  • Great location, safe and quiet

"We arrived in a rainstorm, not unusual for Galway in March, and the welcome we received made us feel so good! Liz gave us a tour of all of the units, and each is very nice. Three of us shared Silver Teal and we were extremely comfortable. Two large bedrooms, large bathrooms and a huge kitchen including a washer and dryer, made the stay especially convenient. (I try to be a light packer, and found it helpful to do laundry mid-week.) The unit is close to everything, and we felt like "locals" after a week. With all of the wonderful restaurants and historic sites in Galway, we were out all day every day wandering around town and enjoying the ambiance. We found a good taxi tour driver through the Irish Tourism office so we were able to take two tours of Cliffs of Moher and Connemara (we did not rent a car). It was great to come home every night to our "home" in Galway. They have units for almost any size group. Thanks again, Liz and the Galway crew!"

  • Great days in a great house

"We had a wonderful week in September and felt very comfortable, the house, the great view, the sea and the seals, the silence, perfect. We were 5 adults and two children. Many thanks to Melanie for the warm and friendly welcome with flowers on the table. We made a lot of trips in this great area, but we were always happy when we returned to this cozy home. Our favorite leisure activity started in the morning watching the seals with the binoculars. We have never seen seals in their natural environment before....great. Also the beaches around the house are great and Clifden is a nice town where you get everything you need, one week moves so fast....pity! Sure we will visit "Mannin Bay Cottage" once more sometimes.....than for a longer stay at and around the house."

  • Like a four leaf clover

"Oh boy did we love this place. The castle, the setting, the lake, the forest…all better than expected. It's the perfect quiet get away. I'll admit that we didn't do much more than eat and check out the local scenery..and eat some more. The kitchen is fully equipped, and that means fully. We've been traveling around Europe for a year and often that means two pots and a pan. There is a great reference book with many of the local attractions and restaurants that was very helpful. I'll add to that list Kai restaurant in Galway (!!!) and a trip to Kylemore Abbey in Connemara. It's to the North and about an 1.5+ drive, but absolutely worth it. Also, Ashford Castle…more to the point, eating at Ashford Castle. The afternoon tea is amazing and the Fish and Chips I might actually swim back for. Our two weeks were amazing. I only wish my family could have been able to make it. The kids would have been in Heaven. It's also 100% Mastiff approved."
