  • Still the BEST!!!!

"We have stayed at the Beachmount House several times and the only problem we have is "We have to leave!!" We arrived this year on 04th March, 2015 and unfortunately have to leave tomorrow, the 30th of March. As is the norm, upon our arrival the customary bottle of wine was on the table with a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers. As I have stated on other reviews of this property, it cannot be beat. The location is perfect/ideal. Quick and easy access to Dingle and Dun Quin and just a bit farther to Balleyferriter. The views of Ventry Bay are breath taking from the bedrooms in the front of the house, the family sitting room and the kitchen. All the rooms are well furnished and comfortable. There is even a crib in case there is a baby along for the holiday. The kitchen is well equipped, WiFi and TV for your convenience. Washer and dryer if needed. And, if this isn't enough, the lady that runs this property is extremely gracious and kind. She cannot do enough for you. Ask and if she can't answer (which is doubtful) she will find the answer to any question. This is why my wife and I book our holiday around the schedule of the property. I would not want to stay any where else! I feel at home."

  • Great location. Perfect House for Us.

"I'm very familiar with this fabulous tourist destination and picked this house specifically for it's location right in the center of Caherdaniel. It was perfect for us. Almost a year later, I still think about that lovely bright master bedroom with soft comfy sheets, plenty of light for reading at night and a beautiful view out over the fields. The second bedroom was perfect for our daughter. She loved her cozy room with the futon bed. Initially, I was concerned about no wifi or TV for my teenager, but she quickly learned to appreciate the radio. She listened to it a lot. We loved having the second bathroom. The kitchen was perfect for a holiday house. The living room had a nice fire that we lit every night. We hiked the hills, ran the scenic road to Derrynane and listened to live music every night. We rented horses from Caroline and rode along the beach. We met lovely people everywhere. The coffee shop across from the Blind Piper has fabulous scones and tea. We rented a wifi device from the car rental company which was perfect. I appreciated Maurice's long welcome letter with all the details necessary to get around, find provisions, and work the devices. There were plenty of 'where to go' books in the living room. My husband jokingly said his only complaint were the loud cows moo-ing up the hill behind the house. ha ha.. I'll take a cow over a Septa Bus any day! Can't wait to go back."

  • Cottage Mary Rose is a true Irish treasure!

"We booked a four night stay at the Cottage Mary Rose and from the moment we walked in, it felt so warm and cozy, especially with the fireplace in the main room. Everything about the cottage is charming and delightful! There were all the modern conveniences you could ask for and we made ourselves quite at home. Outside, the thatched roof was amazing, the entryway and front door were so cute, all reminiscent of the past. You can tell how much pride the owners take in their property. We especially enjoyed the spectacular stars at night from the hot tub or while on the deck listening to the stream bubbling nearby. The surroundings were lush, there were rolling hills and wonderful views, complete with sheep, cows, and farmland. There was a great neighborhood Pub just a short walk away. Everyone was so friendly. We loved visiting Ireland and staying at the Cottage was a true treasure. You got a real feel for the country. All of the sights we visited were within a short drive: Blarney Castle, Killarney National Park, and Dingle (shopped and then drove the Ring of Dingle). We can't wait to return, stay at Cottage Mary Rose again, and see more of Ireland."

  • Perfect for our group of 9

"The size of this house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room for each family member for sleeping and loved the dining area for end of day pow wows. It was also great having a couple of food items already available to us - milk, orange juice, bread, coffee, tea, etc. While the hot water was not enough, at times, for the group of us, we made do. We were not too far from the town and it did not impede our activities."
