  • Stunning setting and amazing house

"Myself and a group of friends stayed here for New Years and had a great time. The house is finished to a very high standard and the setting is absolutely stunning. Dingle town is only a short drive away. Catherine was very helpful in making sure everything was in order for our visit. Highly recommended."

  • Perfect for our group of 9

"The size of this house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room for each family member for sleeping and loved the dining area for end of day pow wows. It was also great having a couple of food items already available to us - milk, orange juice, bread, coffee, tea, etc. While the hot water was not enough, at times, for the group of us, we made do. We were not too far from the town and it did not impede our activities."

  • A Little Slice of Irish Heaven

"Just returned from our wonderful stay at Leah and Eric's home. The fact that I and many others mention the owners by name in their reviews should tell you all your need to know about renting from these fine people! Their home is simply top notch! As a family who has rented vacation homes the last seven years I can tell you this house is simply one of the best for the price and location that you will find! Clean, spacious, well decorated and appointed. Comfortable furniture and bedding. And the showers?! My gosh the showers are simply wonderful! The location is amazing. We loved just sitting on the front porch each night with a Pint and watching the sunset. The daily hikes and walks from the property were quintessential Ireland! We even got to watch a baby calf being born in the pasture across the road from the house. Dingle is a short 15 minute drive. Balleyferriter is close by. Lots of beaches to walk along and Clougher Head is a great little walk. Finally - Leah and Eric. Just simply two wonderful people. They were available when we needed them and did so many little things to make our trip wonderful. Our seven year old daughter wants to be an artist like Honora now and treasures her print she got from the gallery. Just a wonderful family and a wonderful property and experience. You simply can't go wrong choosing this home. We hope to go back some day soon...."

  • Absolutely Outstanding

"Where to begin? Having rented properties for the last five years I have experienced many different types of places in various locals and without a doubt this was my favorite place. The views are right out of the Irish Tourist Board brochures. The weather was classic Irish, clear skies at sunrise, cloudy at mid-morning, slight drizzle by lunch, windy and cloudy in the afternoon, clear skies at dinner, cloudy at sunset; repeat. Our hosts (property owners) were friendly and helpful and their contacts in Ireland were a great help and a wonderful source of knowledge. The home has everything you need and is very cozy. If you are looking for a place to visit that will allow you to 'un-plug' from the world, this is the place for you. Can't say enough about how beautiful that part of Ireland is. Word of warning do not rely on Google maps to figure out how long it will take you to get from A to B. You aren't likely to drive at the speed limit posted. Having visited Ireland three times I am reminded every time how driving in Ireland is an 'experience' not soon to be forgotten."

Castlegregory Travel Tips

Places to Explore from Castlegregory Vacation Rentals

Castlegregory takes its name from a castle Gregory Hoare built in the 16th century on the site of the current village and offers a little slice of Irish history to any visitor staying in a Castlegregory accommodation. While the castle itself is long gone, an arched doorway from Gregory Hoare's original castle can still be seen from Tailor's Row in the village. Visitors can also check out the Old Railway, a site where a railroad connecting Tralee to Dingle was in operation from 1891 to 1939. The line is no longer in use, but the area is still renowned for the beautiful countryside. A Kerry house rental can put you right in the heart of this Irish paradise.

Enjoy the Oceans of the Emerald Coast

One activity that defines Castlegregory above all others is surfing. Castlegregory is situated at the base of a long and narrow peninsula that separates Brandon Bay from Tralee Bay and this area is famous for its surf-friendly waters. Surfing has to be on the must-do list of any tourist taking advantage of Castlegregory vacation rentals. Castlegregory draws in surfers from across the world that come to test their skill on the waters. In fact, it was the site of the world surfing championships in 2000.

Dine like the Irish

If you reserve any Castlegregory vacation rentals for your vacation, don't pass on going to an authentic Irish Pub. Ned Natterjacks, one such pub, offers an old-world Irish flavor with traditional Irish music played seven nights a week during the summer months. Visitors to Ned Natterjacks can also enjoy a menu featuring fresh seafood or sample a local Irish brew in the beer garden. Spillanes is another pub worth checking out. You usually need a reservation, but can go enjoy daily specials that include at least one meat dish and two fish dishes.
