  • Great location for a trip to Killarney

"Very comfortable house in a really good location if you are wanting easy access to Killarney town and the National Park look no further. House is very well equipped and the welcome from John and the groceries and wine were a really nice touch. Point to note is that the pictures show what is actually 2 semi detached houses...the garden is however not separated so for families with young children, as we were, this maybe a consideration. Perhaps for privacy and security (specifically young children) the garden could be partitioned? Overall an excellent property in a great location. Mark, Marie, Evie and Loretta (Leeds, England)"

  • Best Vacation...EVER!

"If you are looking for a relaxing, scenic and convenient location for your southwest Ireland vacation, THIS IS IT! Six adults spent a week at this beautiful, well-equipped and well-maintained property and had a wonderful time. The house is exactly as pictured – even better in person. The neighboring sheep were fun to watch as we enjoyed our morning coffee and a gorgeous beach is literally a 5-minute walk away – do not miss it! We loved having the ability to take day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park, as well as the close proximity to fun and fabulous Dingle, but always looked forward to returning to “Didean” at night to relax in the parlor with a great glass of wine or to enjoy a home-cooked meal. Niamh and Frank are gracious hosts who have gone out of their way to assure their guests will have the “vacation of a lifetime” - and we did! We will be back!!"

  • Great Family Holiday Option

"Eight of us shared Martramane House for 10 days in October. Off-season so not many pubs or restaurants open, but we enjoyed the ones that were and found some new ones. Recommend Pisces. The owners had left a list of restaurants, and maps so it was easy to get around. Had fun cooking some meals at the house;pretty much everything you need in the kitchen to prepare a meal. Enjoyed shopping at the local grocery store and beyond during our travels. The local people are wonderful; we had so many lovely experiences and the beach is within 10 mins walk. Wonderful location and the beds were so comfortable. We were able to do day trips to Tralee, Dingle (the whole peninsula), Killarney; plenty of hiking available. Just a magical place."

  • You couldn't find a more beautiful place or vista!

"Other reviewers have commented that the pictures on the site don't do this home justice and they were right. This is an absolutely stunning house with beautiful and quality attention to detail in the architecture and decor--every room is beautifully appointed. There is lots of room for a family or group to enjoy themselves, have space to spread out or all be together. And all amenities are taken care of so it really is worry free. The views from the main room out to the sheep pastures and bay are wonderfully pastoral and you can feel yourself relax just gazing out at the scenery. The kitchen is a dream in which to prepare a meal or enjoy a glass (or two) of wine or Guinness and our group may have set a new record judging by the empty bottles! What is better than sitting in a window seat looking out on the magnificent scenery or turning your gaze to the beautiful great room that incorporates a living area, dining area and fabulous kitchen--the views are wonderful no matter where you look. The owner and family are wonderfully attentive to every need and in ensuring that your stay is not only enjoyable, but top notch. We enjoyed the surrounding area...by foot or by car...there is so much to discover and enjoy in this area of Ireland. We can't say enough about this property...and hope others get to share in the experience."
