"LOOK NO FURTHER; STAY HERE! What a WONDERFUL place to stay! Location is perfect; centrally located. No need for a car and walking is the best way to see the city and sights. The flat is just as described and as shown in the pictures. Beds are comfortable and the flat is spotless (Thank you Maria!). Communication with the owner was prompt and upfront; very refreshing. We were a party of 4 at this flat; my husband and I with my best friend and her 14 yr old. Having 2 bathrooms was a lifesaver in the morning. The Wi-Fi was a blessing, not only for the 14 yr old, but for us old folks too. It allowed us to keep in touch with home as needed. No need for tour books as there are plenty of books in the flat. The kitchen has everything you need. It is wonderful to not have to leave the flat for breakfast or coffee. All of the appliances are in good order and having the American-style washer and dryer was a great surprise! The flat is the perfect place to retire after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Lots of shopping and pubs near. It is quiet at night and located overlooking the interior courtyard of the building. The owner provides very specific instructions about EVERYTHING prior to arriving at the flat. The owner also provides a book that provides additional information regarding the flat, VERY HELPFUL and appreciated. It takes all of the guessing out of the start of the vacation. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this flat to everyone. Cross the bridge and you are in the Temple Bar area, Trinity College, Grafton for shopping and lots of eating options. The Tesco and other markets are near. If you don’t want to walk, there are bus stops in front of the flat and if you want to do the touristy thing, you can take the Hop-on-Hop-off bus right in front of the flat. One last suggestion about Dublin, don’t miss the GUINESS factory tour, definitely worth visiting! Overall, having stayed at the flat made our vacation that much better since we did not have to think about or worry about our lodging. If we return to Dublin, this is where I am staying."

"Having chosen "Didean" for our annual family vacation, 9 adults and 6 children, aged 2-13 years, we could not have anticipated its overall suitability. The house was extremely well furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences and presented immaculately. All adults and children were delighted from the outset and not a single complaint was uttered throughout the week. Though weather conditions were not the most favourable we swam a number of times at the local beach which is less than a 5 minute stroll away.
It was refreshing and encouraging to deal with Niamh and Frank. From day one, I admired their clear, direct and professional approach. Niamh was most accommodating and attended to all requests promptly, which included organising a babysitter at short notice! Whilst mentioning babysitting, our babysitter, Elaine, went down a treat with all children, young and older alike. The older children quickly made friends with similarly aged children nearby and thoroughly enjoyed the friendships.
"Didean" is located in a quiet picturesque location less than 15 mins drive from Dingle town centre. Location was not a problem but did require a little bit of advance thought in respect of grocery shopping. We were well served by a local 14-seater mini-bus, on request, as and when required
During our stay we visited a number of local amenities which included :
- The Aquarium
- The Slea Head drive
- Hired a boat and skipper for 12 to see Fungi and do some fishing - caught loads of Mackerel and Pollock
which were filleted by our Skipper, Paul, and barbecued later that evening
- The Climbing Wall
- Horse-riding in Ventry
- Pitch and Putt
- fine dining in Doyle's and Out-of-the-Blue, to name but two and
- visited "Bean in Dingle" for Coffee
There is plenty to do irrespective of weather.
I better stop getting carried away. But all of us have great memories of a beautiful spot, first-class accommodation, excellently presented, professional hosts and a wonderful experience for all. All capped by a comment from a four year old - "What's the plan for tomorrow Grandad ?" - but alas we were heading home - all sad.
Try it - you won't be disappointed."
