  • Great Family Holiday Option

"Eight of us shared Martramane House for 10 days in October. Off-season so not many pubs or restaurants open, but we enjoyed the ones that were and found some new ones. Recommend Pisces. The owners had left a list of restaurants, and maps so it was easy to get around. Had fun cooking some meals at the house;pretty much everything you need in the kitchen to prepare a meal. Enjoyed shopping at the local grocery store and beyond during our travels. The local people are wonderful; we had so many lovely experiences and the beach is within 10 mins walk. Wonderful location and the beds were so comfortable. We were able to do day trips to Tralee, Dingle (the whole peninsula), Killarney; plenty of hiking available. Just a magical place."

  • perfect beach cottage

"My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Cozy Beach Cottage (aka: Clancy cottage) this past week. It was everything we expected: in a small town, clean and quaint with all necessary amenities and lots of nearby nature walks. We enjoyed three days and nights: walking down to the pub for a pint and fresh fish and chips, sleeping in and making breakfast at our leisure (fresh brown bread and eggs from the local convenient store--we even added the blackberries--freshly picked by us!--to our morning plates), and in the evening we cozied in the rocking chairs by warmth of the cast iron stove/fireplace and read our books or some of the Irish history papers left by previous guests while sipping tea. The town of Doolin is only about a 20/minute drive south, and is worth the drive for the traditional/ nontraditiinal Irish music. You will find a comfortable place to rest and unwind in this cozy cottage. Make sure, however, you bring enough cash...the pub doesn't accept credit cards and you don't want to miss out on their good Guinness (4 euros/pint) and the nearest ATM is about a 30 minute drive... The convenient store will take cards...but there is a minimum purchase. The cottage is right off the main road--but it is a small 'main' road that is infrequently traveled by cars. We mostly traveled by foot. The location really is perfect for a simple retreat/get away from busy life. We left feeling refreshed and hopeful that we will be able to return soon."

  • Beautiful property in lovely, peaceful surroundings

"Lovely, spacious property, very clean and well presented although a bit off the beaten track. Would have liked map co-ordinates to put into SatNav as took a bit of finding in the dark and driving rain! Definitely need a car but ideal base for touring. Enjoyed closeness of beach and the weather was gorgeous after first day!"

  • Fantastic stay in Ballyvara House

"For the second year running, we rented Ballyvara house for a group of 13 friends for the May Bank Holiday weekend. We had a fantastic and relaxing time here. The tennis courts had been redone as well as the five aside soccer pitch. All rooms were cosy and had Jacuzzi baths. The landlady left a beautiful welcome basket of homemade banana bread, coffee, brown bread and chocolates. The venue needs to be seen to be believed. Fantastic kitchen with every utensil imaginable and the options of two dining rooms. Great stay once again, we will return!"
