  • Classy, comfortable apartment, kind & attentive hostess

"Why Bologna? our friends asked. Because it's the culinary heart of Italy, a vibrant and interesting city where we felt safe on the streets, wandered for hours at a time under the many beautiful porticoes (covered sidewalks), and ate meals so memorable it was hard to leave. We initially thought we would use Bologna as a base for day trips to other nearby towns, but we found so much to do in Bologna, we never left until we got on our plane to come home. My husband and I have rented apartments in several major European cities, and Casa Corsica was absolutely the best we've ever rented. The apartment is on the first floor (second floor for us North Americans), in a 4-story building in a nice neighborhood, with a well-kept private garden courtyard. The location felt secure and secluded, yet was only a few steps from the bus stop to the historic center. Michelle, the owner, lives upstairs, and is attentive, kind, and very helpful. She was there to welcome us and show us around the apartment. On the table was a bowl of fresh fruit and a homemade lemon cake, and the fridge was thoughtfully stocked with morning essentials (eggs, milk, butter, mineral water, yogurt, bread and jams). There is a wonderful Nespresso coffee machine, and capsules were supplied, as well as coffee and equipment for other methods. Location is ideal, 10 minutes by bus to the historic center, 20-30 minutes by foot, and easy to navigate. Bus stop is just a few steps away from the apartment. The apartment has four rooms -- LR, BR, kitchen and bath, and all rooms can be closed off from each other for privacy. It is newly renovated, fresh, immaculate, and tastefully appointed. Large windows open onto a beautifully tended, peaceful garden. This is a classy, comfortable place."

  • Wonderful apartment with great location!

"We stayed here 6 nights and could not have asked for better, more centrally located, accommodations! The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities you need. The bathrooms are big and there is plenty of hot water with great water pressure. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and we even had satellite TV with English speaking channels. It is within walking distance to the town center and many restaurants. The pizzeria across the street was very convenient and we enjoyed the food there. It is also situated very close to the train station, so it was easy to take day trips to Florence and Venice. The owner was extremely gracious and welcoming and was available to answer questions or give recommendations. I hope to return to Bologna someday and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Very comfortable place, very good location, excellent owner

"The apartment was fully refurbished with all the amenities and comfort. We had a great time and felt really at ease. Everything at hand. Bologna is a great place. We were a family group of seven. Andrea was very kind and really supportive (we had a small problem in London before getting to Bologna) I fully recommend this apartment and again BIG THANKS to Andrea and Antonio for their kindness and for making us feel really special"

  • Amazing get-a-way in Italy

"Rasiglio is a beautiful, large Italian home that is jam packed with hospitality and charm. It is located out in the country, approximately 40 minutes from Bologna. The property is large and beautiful. There are walking trails throughout, and much to see in the way of nature. The house itself is very large and well kept. The kitchen is user friendly, there is a laundry room, several bathrooms, and many bedrooms. There is a beautiful front lawn area with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the quiet an beauty. The very best part of Rasiglio is Carlo and his family! Carlo the owner, Carla his mother, Christina his Aunt, and Alfredo, Christina's husband took such good care of our party of nine! They cooked amazing food for us, gave a wonderful pasta making demonstration, and made sure that we were well looked after. I have never felt so immersed in a culture and it's people. Carlo's communication prior to our trip was perfect and clear. He answered all questions and concerns. He is a perfect gentleman and host. We used our stay to explore the local area, enjoying small, local restaurants and touring the Marconi Museum with Carla helping us with the arrangements. Carla has extensive knowledge of Marconi and wireless history and was a complete delight! Bologna is a busy metropolis and well worth visiting. We highly recommend taking a terracotta tour! Amazing and beautiful history! I highly recommend this property and hope someday to visit with Carlo and his family once again."
