  • A Great Experience

"My family stayed in Paola’s apartment for about a week. It is 15 min walk to the city center, a bus stop right by the building if you don’t want to walk. It took us 15 min to get to the airport. We were very close to the highway for our excursions outside of Bologna. The building is very secure and so is the parking for the car. We’ve been renting apartments instead of staying in hotels while vacationing for the last couple years. This place was one of the best ones we’ve stayed in. It felt like home. Paola’s focus on detail showed everywhere in the house which was very nicely furnished and decorated. Paola is a wonderful and generous host. Amenities like coffee, soap, shampoo, etc., were provided! She welcomed us with a delicious desert, panna cotta, and a bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge. There are many travel books/guides inside the apartment and high speed WiFi if you want to do research on-line. The owners also wrote their own guides including the restaurants recommendations. We dined in two of their recommended places and they were excellent. I highly recommend this apartment."

  • Lovely well equipped and comfortable property

"We had a great stay in this comfortable and well thought out apartment. It was spotlessly clean, well furnished, and very well equipped. Antonio's welcome groceries made a huge difference. We also appreciated Antonio's sightseeing advice and the maps and information leaflets in the apartment. We used buses 38, 39, and 21 a lot to get to the centre of Bologna - a 30 min walk or 5 min bus ride. It's a good location to explore further by train - only 20 min walk to the station and lot of interesting places within a 1.5 hour journey. We went to Ferrara and Parma and enjoyed both. We used the local supermarkets a bit and the Bandiera Rosa pizza takeaway in the next block. Because we visited in August, many local businesses were shut for the holidays, which meant that we needed to go back in to the city centre for Italian restaurants (we could have eaten Persian or Japanese close by!)"

  • A home away from home.

"My wife and I stayed in Bologna Skyline for ten days in September and found it to be very satisfactory indeed. We have rented a great many apartments in Italy and most, (but not all), tend to be a little cold and spartan. Bologna Skyline bucks that trend and feels like home, with lots of thoughtful touches. It really does feel like someone lives there, rather than a brief stop-off for tourists. It's located on the 11th floor of a very well run block, with nicely tended communal areas and very efficient elevators – so no access problems. The views from the huge balcony are stunning. The apartment is divided into three areas, a living space, bedroom and bathroom area. In the bathroom there were toiletries provided, although we had no need to use them. The living/dining area is quite spacious for two, it may get a little crowded for four. Again, there was every conceivable creature comfort in this room also. The internet wi-fi was fast and reliable with no drop-outs or problems of any kind. Getting to the centre of Bologna was very easy, with the main square being about a twenty minute to half hour walk away. If you didn't want to walk, there a plenty of buses that leave from the bottom of Via dell'Indipendenza. This brings me on to another of the apartments strengths, access to the main railway station. It looks easy enough on the map but if you take the second right after Via Attilio Muggia, on to Via Barozzi Iacopo, then you get a great short-cut right on to the platforms, avoiding the busy Piazza in front of the station. There are just a couple of things to bear in mind. While there is an excellent shutter on the bedroom window, which will block out 100% of the light, there is no door or curtain on the connection between the bedroom and living room. So if the living room is light – so is the bedroom. Also, even though the apartment is on the 11th floor, there is still quite a bit of road noise from Viale Angelo Masini. This wasn't a problem for my wife and I as we live in a city and we are accustomed to a little traffic noise but may be a problem for light sleepers. In conclusion, we really enjoyed our stay in Bologna Skyline and were made to feel very welcome by Alessandro. When we return to Bologna, we will definitely stay here again."

  • Middle-aged Australian couple

"We vote Michelle's Casa Corsica our best ever accommodation in Italy! She was an exceptional host in every way. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable. This property is in a leafy and quiet location and easily accessible on foot to Central Bologna. The short walk is porticoed all the way. Very good restaurants and trattorias are nearby and a most reliable bus service stops very close to the front gate. Michelle made Casa Corsica a "home away from home" and we plan to return there."
