"This is an excellent and large apartment--with two sizable bedrooms, a large bath, a very spacious living/dining area with a large dining table and large comfortable couches, a fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen. The furnishings are new, modern, and attractive, and the apartment is spotless. WiFi is available as is a large-screen TV and a CD set up. Also AC is available if you need it, but there is a charge beyond a basic use level. We were there in June, and turned off the AC. The apartment is located on the second (US) floor of an apartment building with an elevator. Allegedly the building was once a 15th century palace. It has an elegant facade and a large entrance patio with fountains and a pleasant courtyard garden. It is located right in the center of town off the main thoroughfares through town--in particular Largo Castello. All of Ferrara's major historic sites are within a short walk--including the Castello Estense and the Cattedrale as are the up-scale shopping areas. Yet the apartment is quiet day and night. A short walk to the area on the other side of Largo Castello will take you to a Supermercato Conad where you can buy groceries. Given the large number of limited access zones (the ZTLs) in Ferrara and one-way streets, driving to the apartment can be a challenge. One must get onto Corso della Giovecca going toward the Castello Estense on Largo Castello and turn right onto Via Boldini. As there is only limited and expensive parking on Via Boldini, the apartment owner, Luigi, can arrange for garage parking nearby at Euro 8 per day. We recommend it. The garage has a steep and somewhat narrow curved ramp, so one needs to be careful going up and coming down. We had a Fiat 500 and had no problems. But driving from the garage to the apartment requires a circuitous route that will line you up onto Corso della Giovecca. Liugi is a welcoming and pleasant gentleman who speaks English well and is helpful on apartment topics as well as local recommendations. Given the apartment's central location, its large size, and pleasant decor, it is a bargain. And you could not do better for a home in Ferrara. From Ferrara, we visited Ravenna for a day."
