  • Baby Orsetto - perfect for Rome Vacation

"We stayed 8 great nights in Baby Orsetto. The bedroom was very spacious with plenty of room for hang up clothes as well as dresser/folding clothes. The bed was bigger than a queen and very comfortable. I believe that the bedroom is bigger than most in the area. All wood floors in bedroom and everywhere else. The bathroom was very nice and again spacious. Having a tub and shower (handheld) was a nice feature, but need to remember to keep the wall switch “on” for the water heater. Kitchen was small, with convenience fridge, microwave, gas stove, small dishwasher and plenty of utensils, dishes and pots/pans. We did not cook much so the kitchen was a place for small breakfast items, pop, etc. The laundry machine worked fine, once we figured out how to use it. The manual is in Italian of course, but a little internet search and we washed several times. The apartment has a clothes rack that if we laid out wet clothes one day, the next they would be dry. What a luggage room saver to know that you can do laundry. Family room was big with slightly dated furniture, but comfortable. The big glass doors open up to a railing with great views and nice breezes. The TV was there, but when you are busy eating, shopping, sightseeing and living like a Roman, who has time to watch TV broadcast in Italian? The elevator is easy to use and gets to actually higher than you need to go, but due to building elevation differences, you have to go down a set of stairs (easy) to get to Baby Orsetto. No problem. Dealing with Fillippo and his staff of Lavinia and Iryna was splendid and they are easy to do business with. They could be reached any time by phone or email. We explored all of Rome using buses and footpower to get everywhere. I would and will recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome and would stay there again."

  • A Jewel in the Piazza Navona neighborhood

"This glamorous, museum-esque apartment on an enchanting street started our 4-city European tour off superbly. For the chronically jetlagged, nothing beats unwinding in a HOME at the beginning of an 8-time zone change trip, and this was perfect. After the initial challenge of 65 marble steps for my husband to climb with luggage (though caretaker presumably can get someone for a fee to do the heavy lifting--we didn't know that), it was glorious sailing--the spacious accommodations including the two bedrooms--I took the back one to recuperate, with its small but workable en-suite bath, a whisper quieter than the other, fronting on Via del Goberno Vecchio, which was only a bit noisy at night (ok, rather noisy, but in such an agreeable way that I obdurately kept windows open) b/c of the fab string of cafes and small restaurants on either side. Windows CAN be closed, of course. Gorgeous interiors. Wi-Fi, perfect connection. Good beds and pillows. Kitchen: 100% perfect--gas stove, refrig., Carlo, caretaker: completely bi-lingual, gracious, helpful. Listing photos did NOT do it justice!! Clean, elegantly maintained. You BET I'd recommend it (already have) and hope to return. Excellent value. Location, ideal. We ate ON the street almost every night, great, inexpensive food and limitless chances to Meet People from everywhere. Owners helpful every step of the way. We've talked about it non-stop since our return. We were there one full week."
