  • Renata and Valentina Units

"For our group of ten we rented these two contiguous apartments and turned them into a single unit by unlocking the door between the to units. It worked perfectly well for our group's size and we could all fit around the dining table in Valentina. Everything was in good shape and the kitchens were sufficiently outfitted with the exception that they need to buy a few frying pans. Super location perfect for extended family groups."

  • Perfect for a family

"Our family enjoyed staying in this comfortable apartment. It's in a perfect location for visiting the ancient sites of Rome, and being able to take a night stroll for gelato and take in the sight of the Colosseum bathed in spotlights at night was wonderful. We visited in August, when many commercial establishments close for an extended holiday. But this neighborhood still had plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we didn't feel that visiting in August was a drawback for our family. The gelato shop on the same street as this apartment was a big hit. There are 2 groceries in the neighborhood, a Carrefour and another whose name I forget. Both were well stocked and I loved being able to shop for breakfast items and supplies for picnic lunches. We visited the restaurant Clementini, which is across from San Clemente a few blocks away from the apartment and had a lovely meal there. Location, comfort - this apartment was perfect for our family. I have to say, though, the best thing about the apartment is not the apartment - it's Marmi, the owner. Marmi communicates quickly and clearly through email, and was always very responsive to my questions. Marmi also arranged our car pickup from the airport - we are a family of 5 and taxis do not always have enough room. She also prebooked tickets for us to the Forum and the Colloseum, and the Vatican, and she arranged a guide for some of the sites we visited. Our guide, Maria Teresa, was superb. She was knowledgeable, friendly and it was very easy to spend an extended amount of time with her. Having her with us when we visited Ostia Antica was invaluable and made the trip memorable. I would highly recommend this apartment. Close to transport, sightseeing, and an owner that is committed to your enjoyment of Rome - you can't miss!"

  • Good Value and Location for the Price

"Located in an older yet charming neighborhood just across the river from all the historic sites and just a 10 minute walk from the Vatican. This is a great location if you like to walk to explore city sights; taxis and local busses are also available just two blocks away. Although the bathroom and bedroom are small (typical in most of Europe), overall the apartment was perfect for two. The listing and photos were accurate, WiFi worked and was free, and the apartment was clean and quiet. The owner was VERY nice and helped us find a local supermarket, ATM, great restaurants, etc. He also had good suggestions about what was open and what wasn't as we were there for a week over Christmas."

  • Fantastic location

"We originally were scheduled for a different apartment. I was disappointed until I looked at the location of this one. It is very close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona which is a location I originally wanted. The buses were a block or less away. Everything was easy to get to. This was up three small flights of stairs which wasn't bad. I have knee problems, but I didn't have any trouble with this. There is a good size living room with a pull out couch, a hall with many closets for storage, a nice bedroom, a good kitchen, and a small terrace with a table and chairs. It was a lovely property. I think the main things I would recommend were fans to move the air. There was AC, but it didn't flow through the apartment so well. The other thing I would recommend are some lights that aren't halogen. I wanted to leave a light on at night since there are some steps to get to the bathroom. I couldn't find any light that wasn't halogen. I ended up using the bathroom light which isn't bad. The apartment did have wifi, but it didn't work through the whole apartment. These are minor things that wouldn't stop me from staying there again."
