  • Restful Retreat

"WOW, what a view, what a lovely place and what a lovely hostess. Kiki was so very helpful and this beautiful apartment right on the sea what just what I needed after 8 hectic days of hard sightseeing with a group of seven. They left for home and two friends joined me here. They loved the slow pace to get over jet lag before moving on to Rome and points north. The apartment is even better than the pictures. It was extremely comfortable for the three of us. Even a hassock bed in the dining room was comfortable when our light sleeper found she could not sleep with the snoring of either of the other two. All the beds were comfortable and there is a bed that can be made with the sofa. We were spoiled with two bathrooms, one with a soaker tub and both showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. We also made use of the washing machine as I had packed light and everything was dirty after 8 days. The bus is just a short walk and a bit longer walk is a supermarket where we bought staples and some sausage and fresh pasta to make supper. There was a festival in town by the waterfront that was fun. We got to the beach on a sunny day, but not prepared for swimming. The water seemed cold in late April. We did happen on a wonderful restaurant right on the beach where we had a fabulous salt encrusted fish. We took a picture of the restaurant so we could remember the name but it is not readable. We also loved finding little shops and greengrocers in the back alleys as well as little coffee bars. We loved Gaeta and Villa Acceta and hope to return to both. Thank you Kiki for a wonderful time and for coming to get us from the supermarket when we were loaded with groceries and wine."

  • Amazing views and lovely accommodation!

"We had a week at this lovely 2 person apartment at the very top of the building, located nearby the Hotel Eden. Wonderful views right across the city which must be even more amazing in the summer. We were lucky with several good days when we had lunch on the very large terrace surrounded by plants and that terrific view. The apartment is lovely and the bed very comfortable (important to me as I have a back condition) with a nice en suite shower room as well as another shower room off the lounge area. Kitchen is well fitted. The apartment was perfectly clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The lift takes you up to the 5th floor and then through your own front door is another flight of stairs to the apartment from which the roof terrace leads out, no need to climb more stairs for this. The owner is very efficient and friendly, everything was organised as planned. The maid came in a couple of times whilst we were there but was not at all intrusive. We enjoyed the apartment very much and it is good area with many good, local and reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance as well as a supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away. The top of the Spanish steps is nearby as well as the Borghese gardens both of which we loved. Many thanks for letting us enjoy your apartment."

  • Great location in central area of Roma

"Wonderful location, very central, easy to find - safe and secure. Marta was most helpful in the lead up to our stay and we will have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to friends and family. Pity that the Fontana de Trevi was under repair during our stay (I guess they have to do it sometime) but aside from that everything went extremely well. We will return to explore this fantastic city again."

  • Charming Apartment

"This apartment was perfect for our nine day stay in Rome! Very convenient to many top attractions and the premier shopping district. We often mentioned that there was enough space for us to sit, cook, have lunch outside on the small balcony and without it we would have been claustropic in a hotel room. Francesco met us on our arrival and reviewed the manner to turn on the gas for the stove, the heat, etc. and after that we were on our own! Knowing Francesco was in the building was great reassurance for us! Balcony is cool! Basic cooking equipment is there so we made a few basic meals. There is a small fresh vegetable and fruit market right behind the apartment building that is open each day between 8-1 for shopping needs and we were able to find a few grocery stores about three blocks away. The apartment is quiet, clean and great! We would use it again. Right out the window is a beautiful church, San Carlo al Corso, which was awesome to explore, and literally two blocks away is the excavation site for the Mausoleum of Augustus and the museum for the Ara Pacis. Walking to Spanish Steps is 2 minutes, Pantheon is 10 minutes, Vatican is 30 minutes. We stumbled on a small restaurant called Gino's after exploring the neighborhood and it was fun, good food and a local hangout! Much later we found it listed in Rick Steve's Rome book and our Top Ten Rome book. The apartment is also located quite near the Italian Senate in the Palazzo Madama and the Parliament. I recommend arranging tours of both these buildings. Talking politics with Romans is fascinating and you are easily able to gauge their love of their country. My husband liked the 100 steps to the apartment, it kept us in shape. Taxi stand is literally outside the front door. Termini Train station is about 30 minute walk away. Upon arrival in Rome, we walked to apartment, but I would not recommend to do the same. Rome's sidewalks are uneven, made of cobblestones, blocked, two feet wide...you get the picture...it was difficult to roll our bags that distance. Taxi from station would be so much easier. Thank you Francesco!"
