"We spent a week here in May 2015, and we had such a great experience. As so many others have mentioned in these reviews, Walter is such a gracious host. We arrived later in the day (around 6:00pm), and he greeted us and took the time to show us around the apartment, including the terrace. He also got out a map of Rome and marked so many great sights that he recommended we visit -- he also gave us many restaurant recommendations, which is a key part of any visit to Rome.
The apartment itself is very comfortable, and provides enough space to feel like you can stretch out (it was my wife and me). It's furnished very nicely, and we really felt like we were in a home, and not in a rental property. This is the biggest reason we prefer apartment rentals over hotel rooms -- even with just two people, the average hotel room can start to feel pretty cramped.
As others have noted, the rooftop terrace adds so much to the unit. The views are amazing, and when the weather is nice, you have that much more living space to enjoy. We spent quite a few afternoons on the terrace, drinking prosecco and looking out over the city. Having that terrace makes the climb up the stairs to the apartment well worth it.
Finally, the location is central to all the things we were most interested in visiting (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, St. Peter's, Spanish Steps, etc.), which makes walking that much easier. You really feel like you are in the center of it all here, and if you need to get to an outlying area, you can always find a taxi nearby (it's just off Piazza Farnese and Campo de Fiori, which usually have taxis available).
I know that the next time we return to Rome we will check to see if this apartment is available. I don't think you can go wrong by staying here."
