  • We keep on coming back

"We love the Monti. We love this apartment. We just keep coming back. It's like a home to us. Everything is wonderful. Thank you Pat, Lisa, Conseulo and Roma, il più magnifico città nel mondo."

  • Great find / Great location

"Bordering the Forum and the Monti district, and just a short 10-minute walk from the Colosseum, Enzo's apartment is in an ideal location. It's as advertised, or better, and my wife and two teenagers loved it and we had a fantastic time. We walked everywhere, even to Travestere and the Vatican, although those are serious walks. However, the Forum borders the building, and it almost seems like the building itself was a part of the Forum. There is a charming elevator, and a quaint breakfast place immediately next door. Enzo is very communicative, and makes everything abundantly clear. I felt it was a fair price. Much better and economical than Rome hotels, if you ask me. I'd stay there again. Two pieces of advice: get a private tour to the Villa Borghese, and get the ravioli at Glass Hosteria (to die for!)."

  • Loved the location, but we had some issues

"I stayed at this property with my husband and three kids (age 15, 13, and 10) for four nights. Our trip did not go smoothly but I do recommend this place. The location was just about perfect. I can still remember the views and scents from the front window. I'd like to list the positives and negatives. POSITIVES 1. Quiet street near the Forum. It's easy to walk everywhere! 2. Plenty of space for my family of five 3. Good AC 4. Comfortable beds 5. Two TVs 6. Wifi 7. A moka coffee maker (including a tutorial by Enzo!) 8. An amazing old building with good security 9. Airport pickup service 10. Helpful owner who answers emails promptly NEGATIVES 1. No mention of city taxes in initial emails. Needed to know exact amount due to language barrier. 2. No hot water (at all) one day. We took cold showers. 3. No water pressure (at all) the next day. We were unable to use the shower or sink. 4. Bathroom much worse than the photos. Small, dirty, and smelly. 5. Couldn't get washing machine to work despite several attempts So the negatives were a bit distracting for me as it was very hot in Rome and we had been traveling for a week already. We really needed showers and clean laundry! For a couple days, we felt like we were camping indoors rather than staying at an apartment. The owner is very nice and tried to help us resolve each issue. I feel confident that she will address the problems for future travelers."

  • Great stay at apartment very close to the Colosseum!

"My family and our friends really enjoyed our stay at Paolo's apartment. He was so friendly and was very flexible on meeting us on Friday night. He helped us with tips for places to go around Rome, where to eat, etc and was very welcoming to us. We loved the location of the apartment and that it was so close to the Colosseum. The 6 of us and our baby felt very comfortable in his apartment during our stay. We will definitely recommend to others and we will hopefully return again soon. Thanks again for the great stay Paolo!"
