  • Terrific Location, Great Accommodation, Helpful Owner

"My wife and I stayed in Paola’s apartment for four nights in September 2014 while visiting Rome. We were very happy with the accommodations (the bed is comfortable and we felt very secure in the neighborhood). Paola was also extremely helpful providing guidance purchasing a Roma pass, finding restaurants and visiting “must see” parts of the city. The apartment is also very conveniently located. It’s about a five minute walk to a metro station and a twenty minute walk from the train station (take the Leonardo Express from and to the airport). Once settled in we found ourselves walking everywhere. There are many reasonably priced restaurants close by and we enjoyed the food. Monti is populated by Italians (not a lot of tourists) and that is just what we were looking for. So.. I would highly recommend staying with Paola if you are planning to visit Rome."

  • Look no further, the Green Apts. is the place to stay!!

"From beginning to end, our stay at The Green Apartments was wonderful. We stayed here for 10 days over the Christmas holiday. Traveling with two young children (3 yo/8 mos. old), it's important to find a place that you can settle into, rather than a standard hotel room. Many places I looked wanted to charge fees for extra beds, baby cots, etc. All I have to say is if you are traveling with young kids (and even if you are not), this place is a dream! For no extra charge, Andrea made sure we had a baby cot, and child's bed, a high chair, AND had some plastic kid plates/cups for us to use. (Note: Use the car service for airport pickup/dropoff. It was only 15 Euro more than taking a taxi and SO much more convenient.) From the start, we were met by Andrea and he took some time to sit down with us and orient us to the city, the local area and offer suggestions. Throughout the 10 day stay, he checked in a few times to make sure everything was alright. And it was! Plenty of hot water, quiet, and the best part... the black out shutters in the bedroom and living room. The view: a small square of the Coliseum, and rooftop courtyards (which I loved seeing how the locals live). Plenty of space to move around in the apartment, kitchen and dining room, and washing machine (bonus!). Maria came by every day to clean and was very friendly. We were able to leave our stroller in a secure stairwell (apartment is up two small flights of stairs). Lovely private patio for relaxing in the evenings. Close walking to all the metro/bus/tram and the location could not be better as far as getting to the major sights. We walked pretty much everywhere, and only used the public transportation when we went across town to Vatican. If you are buying bus tickets at the Tobacco shop (note: they are closed on Sundays - best to buy a bunch in advance). Close to great neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores, bakery, etc. The Indian restaurant on way in was very good! I can't say enough good things about Andrea and Maria and the Green Apartments. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my friends and family. Andrea - THANK YOU so much for everything. It was great fun for our entire family and it was wonderful meeting yours as well when we bumped into you at the zoo. Your kids are darling!! As you say... "Ciao! Ciao!" Happy New Year and hope 2015 brings you many wonderful visitors. Best, The Labak Family"

  • Fantastic

"My husband and I stayed a week in this apartment (late September/early October) and it was truly fantastic. The neighborhood ended up being our favorite in Rome. Great restaurants, walking distance to everything, etc. It was maybe larger than what we needed; we never used the living room, but the terrace was amazing and we spent most of our apartment time out there. A couple of things to be aware of are that there are a lot of stairs going up and the shower is very, very small. These things were not a problem for us because we're used to that type of thing coming from SF, but this may be an issue for others. Also, if you plan on doing laundry, don't wait until your last day because the washing machine only washes a couple of items at a time and each load takes at least an hour (no dryer either). Anyhow, overall the apartment was great: clean, quiet, spacious, great location, amazing terrace, etc. Highly recommended."

  • Awesome apartment....highly recommend

"What a fantastic apartment! Lovely hostess Silvia, very frienldly and welcoming. She had fridge stocked with basic groceries which is wonderful especially after a long day of traveling. The location was fabulous, walking distance to beautiful ruins and attractions. Marios restaurant down stairs was excellent and the service was very warm and inviting. The Colosseum is literally a 5 minute walk from her apartment. This whole neighborhood was just breathtaking. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay here in a heartbeat if I ever make it back to Rome."
