  • Perefect Rome Apartment with Great View & Neighborhood

"My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful twelve days at Alessandro’s apartment at 44 Capo d’ Africa. Alessandro was a wonderful host from the time we arrived and he was there to greet us and introduce us to the apartment until we left and he arranged a driver to take us to the airport. The photos of the apartment show how special the view is. From every window and the wonderful balcony there is a beautiful view of the Colosseum, the dome of Saint Peter’s in the distance and other buildings and rooftops that capture the essence of Rome. The apartment is steps away from the Colosseum, the Forums, the Palatine Hill and other monuments of Ancient Rome so visiting them is very easy. We loved the neighborhood and it was wonderful to feel that we were part of a neighborhood. We had our favorite gelato store (Antica Gelateria De Matteis), a favorite place to buy pastries and a newspaper in the mornings and even a place to drop off laundry right around the corner from the apartment. The hilltop park just down the street was a perfect place to enjoy a walk and get a great view – the park sits on top of the ruins of Nero’s Golden House).. A special pleasure was that each night we would enjoy drinks on the balcony while watching and listening to the vibrant Roman street life. There are so many good restaurants in the neighborhood but our favorite Roman restaurant was Gino in Trastevere. The apartment is small but charming and it had everything that we needed. We welcomed the small kitchen and we appreciated the air conditioning on warm nights. It was a joy to use the apartment as a base to enjoy the wonders that are Rome. Each day we would head out to explore the many monuments, sites and neighborhoods of this ancient and fascinating city. It’s amazing to realize how many layers of history make up modern-day Rome. We would not hesitate to stay in this delightful apartment on a future visit to Rome. Date of stay: 09/11/14 – 9/23/14 Date submitted: 10/03/14"

  • Great location for 4

"My wife, my parents and I stayed here for 4 nights during the first week of June. Emanuele and Sara were very responsive with booking and throughout the duration of our stay. We used the driver service from and to the Airport which was extremely convenient for the four of us. Driver was also helpful with our luggage. Sara was present on arrival of the apartment and helped us bring some of our luggage up the stairs (note: if you have difficulty with going up and down stairs, this might not be the place for you). Photos are accurate, space was clean and was just right for the 4 of us. Currently some renovations going on in the building but nothing really bothered us since we were up early and out for most of the day. Location is great and within walking distance from metro. Provided with great recommendations from the owners in their manual. Would definitely recommend going to the restaurants they list as you can easily get caught in a tourist trap around the area. Would definitely recommend!"

  • Wonderful autumn week in Rome

"We are a family with 3 children (under 12 years old) and we spent a week in Rome and enjoyed the appartment very much. It's location is perfect, Colosseum is just outside the door. A couple of steps away, there is a bus and tram-stop and a metrostation which makes it easy to transport in and outside Rome. We visited the beach of Lido and it was easy to get there. Just outside the building there is a taxistation and nearby a ticket office for public transports. The cost of going to the airport with taxi was the same as if we should go by public transport. The flat was suiteble for us, several bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. We appreciated the free wifi, the washing machine and the coffee maker (american coffee). The flat has air condition that functions well, good to know if you travel in the summer times. Just around the corner there is a Carrefour express (grocery store) where we did our shopping. The host met us at arrival and friendly showed us the appartment and he was easy to contact. We would recommend the appartment to friends and family. Thank you!"
