  • Fantastic

"My husband and I stayed a week in this apartment (late September/early October) and it was truly fantastic. The neighborhood ended up being our favorite in Rome. Great restaurants, walking distance to everything, etc. It was maybe larger than what we needed; we never used the living room, but the terrace was amazing and we spent most of our apartment time out there. A couple of things to be aware of are that there are a lot of stairs going up and the shower is very, very small. These things were not a problem for us because we're used to that type of thing coming from SF, but this may be an issue for others. Also, if you plan on doing laundry, don't wait until your last day because the washing machine only washes a couple of items at a time and each load takes at least an hour (no dryer either). Anyhow, overall the apartment was great: clean, quiet, spacious, great location, amazing terrace, etc. Highly recommended."

  • Perfect location for the marathon

"It was a perfect location for the marathon that started at the Colosseum. Even to go and visit it's pretty central. The place was clean and had everything I needed. It was a little bit humid but with the dehumidifier on, the temperature in the studio was perfect. I really enjoy that place and would go back there if I'm in Rome."

  • Excellent Apartment and Delightful Neighbourhood

"We just spent 2 weeks in Rome in Daniela's apartment. We had a great time. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people. The photos are accurate - but were probably done when the apartment was just renovated and painted. There is some sign of wear and tear now and perhaps it would benefit from a fresh coat of paint soon. This did not in any way detract from our experience or comfort. There is also a bit of clutter including left over bottles of various products from previous visitors. The neighbourhood is a great feature for this apartment. When you look at the neighbourhood on Google, it might not look that great. However there are a lot of hidden gems. First of all, it is very quiet. The surrounding buildings are a medical clinic, 3 or 4 religious residences, and 1 other apartment building. The only noise is occasional street noise and garbage pick up often at 1 or 2 am. There are some really outstanding restaurants all within 1-2 blocks. Club Machiavelli was our favourite. This is imaginative food made with passion! We went there 3 times. If you do go there, please tell the owner that a Canadian couple recommended it. We chatted with the owner a few times. Trattoria Vecchia Roma is very popular with locals and we really enjoyed it. Right next door to the apartment is Caronte. Excellent cocktails. In Rome many places have a sort of "happy hour" where you get a cocktail and free appetizers. At Caronte, you get little tasters of the main courses for the evening. We went there for dinner a couple of times. The menu is more eclectic and is a nice change from the standard Italian menu. Baia Chia is also right next door to the apartment. They specialize in Sardinian style and their seafood is superb. We tried a few other restaurants in other parts of Rome but never found anything nearly as good as the restaurants right in our block! We also used the Norcineria e Gastronomia Cecchini. This is a delicatessen on the corner. They have a great variety of hot and cold dishes that you can take home for a prepared dinner. There is everything you need, including wine. We really enjoyed having a gourmet meal on our patio watching the sun going down. We also enjoyed having Aperol cocktails on the patio along with some tasty cheese from the Gastronomia. For groceries, there are 2 supermarkets within a block that have everything you need. Despar at 1 Via Guicciardin and Conad just of Merulana. We highly recommend this apartment!"
