  • Awesome apartment....highly recommend

"What a fantastic apartment! Lovely hostess Silvia, very frienldly and welcoming. She had fridge stocked with basic groceries which is wonderful especially after a long day of traveling. The location was fabulous, walking distance to beautiful ruins and attractions. Marios restaurant down stairs was excellent and the service was very warm and inviting. The Colosseum is literally a 5 minute walk from her apartment. This whole neighborhood was just breathtaking. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay here in a heartbeat if I ever make it back to Rome."

  • Excellent!

"We stayed at this amazing apartment this month during our trip to Italy. It was get away with friends and family to celebrate my daughter's graduation from high school. The five of us loved our stay and Paolo made it absolutely perfect. The apartment was exactly as described online and Paolo was the best host ever. He arranged transportation from the airport, coordinated tours and even drove us to Florence. I enjoyed myself so much that my husband and I plan to visit Rome soon and we will always stay at his apartment. Thank you Paolo for a memorable trip! Dionne"

  • Perfect apartment for visiting Rome

"We spent two plus weeks in this apartment and found it very comfortable. The furnishings are attractive and stylish and the rooms are bright and sunny. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare a simple meal and the bathroom is modern and well appointed. A flat screen tv was available with a hookup for an iPod or mp3 player and there was an extensive library to choose from in case you need something to read. Monti is a lively neighborhood with many restaurants and small artisan shops to explore. There is a lot to see in the area including the Forum and Colosseum. Transportation to other major sites is convenient. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact and they provided thorough information in the apartment guide book. I would recommend this apartment very highly."

  • Excellent Apartment and Delightful Neighbourhood

"We just spent 2 weeks in Rome in Daniela's apartment. We had a great time. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people. The photos are accurate - but were probably done when the apartment was just renovated and painted. There is some sign of wear and tear now and perhaps it would benefit from a fresh coat of paint soon. This did not in any way detract from our experience or comfort. There is also a bit of clutter including left over bottles of various products from previous visitors. The neighbourhood is a great feature for this apartment. When you look at the neighbourhood on Google, it might not look that great. However there are a lot of hidden gems. First of all, it is very quiet. The surrounding buildings are a medical clinic, 3 or 4 religious residences, and 1 other apartment building. The only noise is occasional street noise and garbage pick up often at 1 or 2 am. There are some really outstanding restaurants all within 1-2 blocks. Club Machiavelli was our favourite. This is imaginative food made with passion! We went there 3 times. If you do go there, please tell the owner that a Canadian couple recommended it. We chatted with the owner a few times. Trattoria Vecchia Roma is very popular with locals and we really enjoyed it. Right next door to the apartment is Caronte. Excellent cocktails. In Rome many places have a sort of "happy hour" where you get a cocktail and free appetizers. At Caronte, you get little tasters of the main courses for the evening. We went there for dinner a couple of times. The menu is more eclectic and is a nice change from the standard Italian menu. Baia Chia is also right next door to the apartment. They specialize in Sardinian style and their seafood is superb. We tried a few other restaurants in other parts of Rome but never found anything nearly as good as the restaurants right in our block! We also used the Norcineria e Gastronomia Cecchini. This is a delicatessen on the corner. They have a great variety of hot and cold dishes that you can take home for a prepared dinner. There is everything you need, including wine. We really enjoyed having a gourmet meal on our patio watching the sun going down. We also enjoyed having Aperol cocktails on the patio along with some tasty cheese from the Gastronomia. For groceries, there are 2 supermarkets within a block that have everything you need. Despar at 1 Via Guicciardin and Conad just of Merulana. We highly recommend this apartment!"
