  • Rome getaway...

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at Roman Forum Palace studio apartment in Monti Rome. Alessio met us at the apartment as scheduled. Alessio and his family own the entire building which contains several apartments . The pride that he and his family have in the building is evidenced by the excellent condition in which it has been kept. Upon arrival Alessio was quite helpful with information about the neighborhood and local shops ,restaurants and sights. We cant say enough about how caring and helpful Alessio is to his clients. The apartment we stayed in is updated ,nicely decorated and contained all necessary kitchen items .The sleeping area is a secluded nook in the apt with a firm comfortable bed. The bathroom was large , bright and airy. The apartment had a brand new A/C system that operated quite well. The location is fabulous. Its located about 20 meters from the intersection of Via Leonidas and Via Serpenti which is only several minutes walking distance to the Ancient City and quite walkable to Trestavere , Campo Fiore ,Piazza Navonna and The Vatican. The evening gatherings at Piazza Madonna dei Monti are quite enjoyable. Local residents and visitors all gravitate here to enjoy the atmosphere of a Rome working class neighborhood. You can purchase Beer or Wine from the nearby shops and sit on the fountain steps and take in the ambiance. There are numerous restaurants in the immediate area that meet all tastes and pricing. We highly recommend Colosseo Foro Romano apartments owned and operated by Alessio and family."

  • Excellent Apartment and Delightful Neighbourhood

"We just spent 2 weeks in Rome in Daniela's apartment. We had a great time. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people. The photos are accurate - but were probably done when the apartment was just renovated and painted. There is some sign of wear and tear now and perhaps it would benefit from a fresh coat of paint soon. This did not in any way detract from our experience or comfort. There is also a bit of clutter including left over bottles of various products from previous visitors. The neighbourhood is a great feature for this apartment. When you look at the neighbourhood on Google, it might not look that great. However there are a lot of hidden gems. First of all, it is very quiet. The surrounding buildings are a medical clinic, 3 or 4 religious residences, and 1 other apartment building. The only noise is occasional street noise and garbage pick up often at 1 or 2 am. There are some really outstanding restaurants all within 1-2 blocks. Club Machiavelli was our favourite. This is imaginative food made with passion! We went there 3 times. If you do go there, please tell the owner that a Canadian couple recommended it. We chatted with the owner a few times. Trattoria Vecchia Roma is very popular with locals and we really enjoyed it. Right next door to the apartment is Caronte. Excellent cocktails. In Rome many places have a sort of "happy hour" where you get a cocktail and free appetizers. At Caronte, you get little tasters of the main courses for the evening. We went there for dinner a couple of times. The menu is more eclectic and is a nice change from the standard Italian menu. Baia Chia is also right next door to the apartment. They specialize in Sardinian style and their seafood is superb. We tried a few other restaurants in other parts of Rome but never found anything nearly as good as the restaurants right in our block! We also used the Norcineria e Gastronomia Cecchini. This is a delicatessen on the corner. They have a great variety of hot and cold dishes that you can take home for a prepared dinner. There is everything you need, including wine. We really enjoyed having a gourmet meal on our patio watching the sun going down. We also enjoyed having Aperol cocktails on the patio along with some tasty cheese from the Gastronomia. For groceries, there are 2 supermarkets within a block that have everything you need. Despar at 1 Via Guicciardin and Conad just of Merulana. We highly recommend this apartment!"

  • Wonderful home in Rome

"Marida was so helpful throughout the reservation process as well as when she met us when we arrived near the loft. The loft was wonderful! It is air conditioned, open, spacious, CLEAN, modern and welcoming. Wi-fi worked quite well. The full kitchen came in handy as our family of six cooked in it numerous times during our stay. Everything was very organized and neat in the apartment; plenty of all the supplies we needed--towels, soap, spices, laundry detergents, etc. When we wanted to make the sofa bed back into a couch, Marida answered my email quickly letting us know where the cushions were stored. The terrace is fantastic! Great place to relax in the evenings with the family. Location was good. There was a grocery store quite close. We stayed in three apartments while on our vacation in Italy and this was my family's favorite. The photos and description on this website accurately portray this apartment. I would highly recommend this loft to our family and friends."

  • Loved it!

"This is a lovely one bedroom apartment in a residential area of Rome, just a block from the river and a short bus ride to the Colosseum and all the major historical sites. I loved having my coffee sitting at the table with the windows open on the courtyard. Everything looks as if it has been recently painted and updated. The beds are comfortable and the bath is clean and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need except the groceries and there are stores just down the street for that. There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook. Would definitely stay here again if I ever get to return to Rome."
