  • My stay in Roma

"Our trip to Italy included 4 days in Rome. I chose this apartment because it was modern, had two full baths, bedrooms and was close to the train station. The owner Mary was helpful throughout the booking procedure. She had someone on site we could call, which we did, and someone who met us on our arrival. We did the walk through on arrival and the apartment was exactly as Mary had described. Mary provided a large binder that gave directions to all the appliances. However most were written in Italian, which none of us spoke. So, we called on the gal who lives in the building and she was there in a jiffy and helped us get acquainted with how things worked. But not just in the apartment, but in general on how to get around. The area around the apartment is a bit off the beaten path, and in a vary diverse neighborhood. We needed three keys to access the apartment. Sometimes the keys wouldn't work on the two outside doors, but if we waited a few moments someone would be coming or going from the building and we would be on our way up the elevator to the apartment. We could walk 3 or 4 blocks to get to restaurants. Using her binder, we ate our best meals in Italy. We dropped her name at La Vecchia Conca and got a great table and super service. At Tempio Di Mecenate it felt we were eating a true Italian meal. Unhurried, well lit and crowded. The binder informed us of a place to grocery shop-a "super food market". We didn't understand that the 'food' store was on the next block past the clothing merchant building. I did however, discover it on our last morning there. They had all types of veggies, fruit, meats, breads, cheeses and sea food. Live crabs were escaping the boxes and octopus was hanging out of their crates. I could have spent hours just watching people shop for their daily meals, the vendors selling their goods from the stalls and selecting just the right ingredients for a fabulous meal. Next time! I would go back and use this as a base for Roma. You can walk to the Metro, grab a bus or get on a train to go anywhere in Italy. Just watch your pockets and bags when you board the Metro. I spied a young lad just reaching his tiny fingers in to my husbands pants pocket as we boarded. I alerted my husband who turned to me and the boy withdrew his hand and moved on. We used the computer for our e-mails and the printer was available to get our boarding passes. I recommend this place as a good home base for all you'd like to do in Roma. Thanks Mary!"

  • Wonderful place in Rome in Monti area

"The Galleria apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Rome. Located in a great neighborhood (Monti) where you have the opportunity to interact with the locals and wonderful restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Jill Barnes-Dacey is wonderful hostess, and made numerous suggestions to help with our stay. The apartment itself is very spacious, and can sleep six. It is decorated with very nice artwork and has everything in the apartment you need. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to be in Rome for 3 or more days."

  • Wonderful apartment in a great location in Rome!

"Having never been to Rome, I wasn't sure what to expect from the area or where to stay. Eugenio 32 did not disappoint! The ease of getting to the apartment from Roma Termini was incredible, one metro stop! And then only a very short walk to the front door! The rooms are very large and the living room is cozy to just relax! The kitchen has everything you need. The location is ideal for the metro or a short walk to the Coloseum! There is even a great market one block away with anything you could need for your stay! We had 4 adults and 4 children ages 3-7 and everyone enjoyed the stay! Thank you Francesca! We would definitely stay again on a return trip to Rome!"

  • Wonderful rental for family holiday

"First rate rental. Wonderfully decorated and equipped with a central location that is a great launching off point to explore Rome. We spent two weeks in Camillo and Veronica's wonderful three bedroom apartment and have no reservation in recommending this apartment as a perfect place for a family holiday. Would rent the property again on an subsequent visit to Rome."
