  • Wonderful home in Rome

"Marida was so helpful throughout the reservation process as well as when she met us when we arrived near the loft. The loft was wonderful! It is air conditioned, open, spacious, CLEAN, modern and welcoming. Wi-fi worked quite well. The full kitchen came in handy as our family of six cooked in it numerous times during our stay. Everything was very organized and neat in the apartment; plenty of all the supplies we needed--towels, soap, spices, laundry detergents, etc. When we wanted to make the sofa bed back into a couch, Marida answered my email quickly letting us know where the cushions were stored. The terrace is fantastic! Great place to relax in the evenings with the family. Location was good. There was a grocery store quite close. We stayed in three apartments while on our vacation in Italy and this was my family's favorite. The photos and description on this website accurately portray this apartment. I would highly recommend this loft to our family and friends."

  • Rome Vacation

"We had a magical stay in Rome, falling in love with the city and our spectacular apartment on 4 Monterone. The apartment is situated perfectly and beautifully appointed. Giorgia and Scilla were extremely helpful and always ready when needed. We will be going back, undoubtably. We loved it!"

  • Very nice apartment with a great location

"My wife and I stayed 3 nights here before going to Tuscany. It was a spacious apartment with a large sitting room (or extra sleep room) and a nice sized bedroom. The kitchen had all the necessary conveniences. It was quiet and secure (Carabinieri station just around the corner). I loved that I could walk around the corner to the Bar Roma Libera and get a cappuccino and panino in the morning. Carmela also was helpful in recommending two very good restaurants. She also arranged for transportation to and from airport which for us with two large suitcases was worth the extra money. It was a great base for seeing Rome. Just pick which bridge you want to cross to explore a different set of famous spots."

  • Great Location, Nice Apartment, perfect for a family of 3 or 4 if the kids are small

"My wife, daughter and I spent 4 nights and 5 days over Christmas break at this apartment. The location is great, being about a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and the Piazza Novano. We did a lot of walking in Rome and this apartment helps with that. 25 minutes to the Coliseum and in the opposite directionto Vatican City, and surrounded by great neighborhoods. Trastaverte was only about 10 minutes away. We even used the patio (it was winter after all) for lunch one day. There is a Coop supermarket about 2 blocks away. The apartment is nice. No dryer, but there is a washing machine. Guiseppe is very nice and accommodating. he gave us a few recommendations for meals and they were great. I do not think the kitchen is conducive to cooking a standard dinner, but is perfect for easily made breakfast or lunch (but who needs it with all the great food in Rome?) Another negative is he does not accept credit cards or PayPal, only cash. I definitely recommend the apartment for a great stay in Rome."

Esquilino Travel Tips

The Esquilino Villas Region

The Esquilino region of Rome boasts historic ruins, classic architecture and a modern mixture of Italian natives and Chinese immigrants. The area is rich in historical sites, boutique shopping, and tradition and fusion restaurants. Staying in Esquilino Villas or Esquilino apartments is the perfect way to see and explore the region. Esquilino sits tucked in the Esquiline hills and is conveniently connected to the rest of Rome with a convenient metro line as well as traditional roads.

Close to Rome

By staying in Esquilino villas or Esquilino apartments, you'll have the time and proximity to extensively explore this area of Rome. Historical sites located in the area include Scala Sancta, which is believed to be the ancient staircase that Jesus Christ used to approach Potious Pilot prior to his trial in Rome. Traditional Roman Catholics and other Christians alike come to worship at the steps. The Santa Maria Maggiore, a basilica built in the ninth century, houses a museum and features ancient architecture including walls and fixtures plated in gold.

Music and Culture

For music lovers, the National Museum of Musical instruments is also located in Esquilino, conveniently close to your villa or apartment.

Due to its large Asian population, visitors to Esquilino can experience Asian fusion food, traditional Thai massages and several stores and boutiques featuring both Italian and Asian products. Restaurants in Esquilino can be an adventure for your pallet, ranging from fresh Chinese-style seafood to traditional Italian pastas, ice cream and gelato.

There is no better way to experience this exciting neighborhood of Rome than at an Esquilino apartment or, true to the Italian style, an Esquilino villa. Accommodations are comfortable and affordable, featuring everything you need for a short or extended visit. Whether a romantic getaway or a family vacation, Rome vacation rentals are the way to go .
