  • An inspired selection

"We began our trip in Europe by stopping in Rome for 5 nights. The rental arrangements were done way ahead of time. Since the initial contact with the owner until we arrived in Rome we exchanged quite a few e-mails covering the confirmation of availability, the deposit payment, sending copies of our documents (required by law), the second payment and finally receiving detailed directions from airport and equaly important instructions on how to handle various practical aspects once in the appartment. I would say we were impressed from the first contacts with the promptitude, the friendly attitude and wealth of information offered by the owner. The appartment matches the description and offers a very quiet and cozy atmosfere. We found it perfect for a familly of 4. Starting with the incredibly detailed instructions offered by owners we gradually discovered the street, the shops, the transit stops, the market - pretty much all essential needs are covered in the instructions based on nearby merchants. The next step was to cover the turistic program we had in Rome. Again we had a wealth of information to start with, made available by owners. It saved us days of research and perhaps some information we might have missed. The reward for climbing the stairs to the last floor of the building was in close proximity with the Vatican - in multiple occasions we walked following the wall to St. Peter's Square (about 15-20 min walk). Visiting Vatican Museum was also very convenient as the entrance is about 5 min walk from the appartment. We found the kitchen very well equiped and we had a wonderful time taking the dinner on the terrace outside. Among the places we visited in Europe, Rome was our favorite and the selection of the appartment contributed to the wonderfull memories we now have. We are really grateful for renting this appartment and would like either to return or perhaps make arrangements for our familly in Europe to come visit Rome and of course stay in the same place. As a final conclusion - Rome is a wonderful city full of ancient monuments and historic places at every corner, each one with its story. It is also a place you should consider visiting by foot - we don't walk normally in 3 months as much as we walked in Rome in 5 days. We were driven by the desire to see as much as possible and still there were places we couldn't reach... Many many thanks! Mircea"

  • Great Apartment in Roma

"My husband and I spent 3 wonderful days at Crownorsetto in July. The apartment was wonderful, well maintained, and very clean. It was exactly as pictured on the website but the pictures don't portray just how spacious the apartment is. The location was great - we walked almost everywhere from the apartment. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by and Piazza Narvona is delightful, epecially in the evenings. Irina met us at the apartment when we arrived and she explained everything about the apartment that we needed to know. There was a large bowl of fresh fruit, milk, and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine waiting for us in the kitchen-nice touch! Fabrizio, the onsite property manager, was very helpful also. We were without luggage for 2 days and Fabrizio actually came to find us at a restaurant (which he had recommended) on the Piazza at 10pm to let us know that our luggage had finally arrived. I would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to stay there again on a future trip."

  • Location,Location,Location

"Everything stated by other reviewers is correct. We had a great stay and found the location to be absolutely perfect. We walked to all of the places we had to see. Emanuele was very helpful in organizing our transport to and from the airport and had Sara meet us at the apartment as planned.(Even though our plane was very late). Sara was very accommodating and welcoming. She gave us a tour of the apartment and explained the use of appliances, tv etc. and did give us a cellphone to use locally and connect with her if we had any questions at all during our stay. We arranged for the VIP check in and were very happy we did. Alessandro met us after arrival to the apartment and gave us an orientation to the local area. He gave us a great tour and pointed out the important things close by (local market, sites of interest, restaurants, and which streets to use). He was very knowledgeable about the history of local sites of interest we saw on the tour. He also sat with us and showed us where everything was on the map provided. He made suggestions on when, where, and how to get to all of the sites. We felt confident the next morning when we headed out to see the sights. We highly recommend the VIP check in with Alesasandro. The apartment is exactly as represented in the pictures. We would highly recommend this apartment. (You will have to walk up 3 floors. Ceiling height in upstairs bedroom may cause concern to some.) Thank you to Emanuele, Sara and Alessandro for making our first trip to Rome a great experience. We will be back!!"

  • The Best Place to stay in Roma

"I have had occasion to stay in two of the Arnaldi family properties this year and I am always delighted. This was my second stay in this apartment and it was even better this time as the owner tastefully renovated the bathroom ( plenty of hot water). The neighborhood is an authentic family oriented area. I saw many grandparents pushing baby carriages and of course they were beautifully dressed. The location near the train station, buses and Piazza della Repubblica is incredibly convenient. It is a short walk to all the famous Roman sights and a relief to return to the quiet and safety of the apartment after a day of touring; to a glass of wine on the terrace and it's garden plants. The area is rife with restaurants, trattorias and bars. There are also many artisanal food stores to buy cheese, and wine and ready made takeout Italian style. And the brothers Niccolo and Stefano are very attentive to their clients and know a lot of the history of the area. They are the best owners to deal with. The apartment is beautifully appointed and with the large window and doors to the terrace is full of light. The bed must be new as it is firm and comfortable. Also provided in the adorable kitchen are some spices and herbs and plenty of good pots if you wish to cook.I intend to return again next year and as the Italian language school is a 20 minute walk, to learn this beautiful language. Returning to a hotel lobby with a beautiful elevator to the top floor is a great bonus."

Monte Verde Travel Tips

Monte Verde Villas: Comfortable Living Space in a Crowded Metropolis

Rome, Italy is a place you can go to explore the world's history. From the Coliseum to Vatican City, there are sights to see that represent the beginning of civilization and, in some ways, technology, as we know it today. The Coliseum is an arena that hosted many fights and was even filled with water to simulate sea battles. Outside other historical attractions such as the Pantheon, various museums, and majestic fountains, Rome is a huge city. If you are staying at Monte Verde villas, the whole group or family can be free from congestion and breathe peacefully in their own space.

Enjoy a Comfort With Technology and Food

International travel can be tiring, and expensive, but do it right, and you can save a lot and recharge your batteries with the comfort Monte Verde apartments afford. It's like living in antiquity, but you can also enjoy the modern metropolitan vices that Rome offers. Take a guided tour of the city on a Segway, and as you're taking it all in and you should get hungry, there are many cafés and restaurants to satisfy your appetite. Don't miss the excellent house wines offered by most restaurants, and the pizza and seafood found in many cafés not far from Rome vacation rentals.

Getting in and Around Rome

Planning your tours of Rome from Monte Verde villas is important, that is why it is good to have a map. Many popular destinations are within an area bounded by the Spanish Steps, Aventine Hill, and Piazza Navona, but you can also spend the day at the Vatican, and don't miss Castel Sant'Angelo. There are subways here too, so you have various options of getting around. Then again, it's up to you to head back to the Monte Verde apartments and entertain a party there if so desired.
