  • First time to Rome

"We would highly recommend this apartment as you explore Rome! Walter & Natalia were very nice and so helpful. Their guidance was especially appreciated since it was our first trip to this amazing city. They also arranged for our transportation from the train station when we arrived & to the airport upon our departure, well worth the fee. The home was very clean, much more spacious than staying in a hotel, and only one floor up from ground level. It was so comfortable to come back to after a long day of seeing the sites!"

  • A Truly Wonderful Apartment and Hosts

"My wife and I along with our kids (20 & 16) started our 25th Anniversary trip thru Italy with several nights in Rome at this truly wonderful apartment with two fantastic hosts – Pietro and Marina. The apartment has an absolutely incredible view of the Coliseum with the Vatican in the background. The website pictures are true and actually seeing the sunset over the city of Rome is breathtaking. The apartment is in a great location, close enough to walk to all the attractions but out of the main tourist hubs. Everything you need is provided, is very clean, and has enough room for a lot more than 4 people. We especially enjoyed sitting on the penthouse floor with a glass of wine after a busy day. Our host Pietro (Marina was laid up with an ankle injury) made all the transportation arrangements from the airport, showed us around the neighborhood and gave us a fantastic tour of the Vatican. His knowledge of the city, the architecture, and the Vatican (he grew up blocks from there) was first class. We highly recommend you ask Pietro to make a reservation for you at the local seafood restaurant. It is a fantastic place, the food and service great and very reasonable in price. Finally to top it all off Pietro and Marina gave us a bottle of prosecco that we toasted to celebrate aa wonderful start to a very special trip. Thanks again. We will return!"

  • A Great and Easy Place for Families

"Our family (2 adults and 2 girls under age 11) spent a week at this apartment and it was delightful. The place isn't large -- our two girls slept on the pull-out sofa which was very comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom are a bit small compared to the States -- but it more than met our needs. Two blocks from the Metro, three blocks from the Vatican, and the amazing Trionfale Market with its amazing array of fresh foods, the apartment was perfect for our family. Michela, the owner, met us right on time, and gave us great suggestions for navigating Rome. There is a wash and fold laundry service nearby, as well as several fine restaurants, banks, markets, and gelato shops. We also have a gluten allergy in our family, and the Trionfale Market had a stall with all gluten free foods, which was hugely helpful. Thanks again, Michela!"

  • Perfect stay in Rome

"We shared Daniela's appartamento with another couple and stayed there for 4 nights. The flat is very comfortable for 4 people and 2 bathrooms and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's nice and clean with lots of updates. Daniela met us upon arrival and gave us a lot of helpful information about the area. There is a market right across the street and we made a full use of it buying local meats, cheese, bread and fruits. Some sights will require quite a bit of walking, but we took a bus from and back to the apartment if we felt tired. There are two bus stops, both conveniently located, and the buses run frequently. There is quite a few restaurants in the area if you prefer to have a quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle of Rome's historic center. If you choose to stay at this apartment, I'm sure you will be more than pleased with the level of comfort it provides. Daniela's friendly and easy going personality is an additional bonus."

Monte Verde Travel Tips

Monte Verde Villas: Comfortable Living Space in a Crowded Metropolis

Rome, Italy is a place you can go to explore the world's history. From the Coliseum to Vatican City, there are sights to see that represent the beginning of civilization and, in some ways, technology, as we know it today. The Coliseum is an arena that hosted many fights and was even filled with water to simulate sea battles. Outside other historical attractions such as the Pantheon, various museums, and majestic fountains, Rome is a huge city. If you are staying at Monte Verde villas, the whole group or family can be free from congestion and breathe peacefully in their own space.

Enjoy a Comfort With Technology and Food

International travel can be tiring, and expensive, but do it right, and you can save a lot and recharge your batteries with the comfort Monte Verde apartments afford. It's like living in antiquity, but you can also enjoy the modern metropolitan vices that Rome offers. Take a guided tour of the city on a Segway, and as you're taking it all in and you should get hungry, there are many cafés and restaurants to satisfy your appetite. Don't miss the excellent house wines offered by most restaurants, and the pizza and seafood found in many cafés not far from Rome vacation rentals.

Getting in and Around Rome

Planning your tours of Rome from Monte Verde villas is important, that is why it is good to have a map. Many popular destinations are within an area bounded by the Spanish Steps, Aventine Hill, and Piazza Navona, but you can also spend the day at the Vatican, and don't miss Castel Sant'Angelo. There are subways here too, so you have various options of getting around. Then again, it's up to you to head back to the Monte Verde apartments and entertain a party there if so desired.
