  • Baby Orsetto - perfect for Rome Vacation

"We stayed 8 great nights in Baby Orsetto. The bedroom was very spacious with plenty of room for hang up clothes as well as dresser/folding clothes. The bed was bigger than a queen and very comfortable. I believe that the bedroom is bigger than most in the area. All wood floors in bedroom and everywhere else. The bathroom was very nice and again spacious. Having a tub and shower (handheld) was a nice feature, but need to remember to keep the wall switch “on” for the water heater. Kitchen was small, with convenience fridge, microwave, gas stove, small dishwasher and plenty of utensils, dishes and pots/pans. We did not cook much so the kitchen was a place for small breakfast items, pop, etc. The laundry machine worked fine, once we figured out how to use it. The manual is in Italian of course, but a little internet search and we washed several times. The apartment has a clothes rack that if we laid out wet clothes one day, the next they would be dry. What a luggage room saver to know that you can do laundry. Family room was big with slightly dated furniture, but comfortable. The big glass doors open up to a railing with great views and nice breezes. The TV was there, but when you are busy eating, shopping, sightseeing and living like a Roman, who has time to watch TV broadcast in Italian? The elevator is easy to use and gets to actually higher than you need to go, but due to building elevation differences, you have to go down a set of stairs (easy) to get to Baby Orsetto. No problem. Dealing with Fillippo and his staff of Lavinia and Iryna was splendid and they are easy to do business with. They could be reached any time by phone or email. We explored all of Rome using buses and footpower to get everywhere. I would and will recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome and would stay there again."

  • Great little apartment, awesome location!

"The apartment was exactly as advertised. It is a few flights of stairs to get there, but totally worth it. We were traveling with 4 adults and 4 teen-aged children. Sleeping arrangements were just a little tight (we wound up with one kid on the couch), but totally workable. Both bathrooms worked just fine. The little porch off the back was awesome for unwinding with wine and cheese after a night on the town. Air conditioning was very welcome and worked great. But, the absolute key to this place is the location. All the major sites are a short to reasonable walk from the apartment. Pantheon, Vatican, Circus Maximus, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and on and on. Trevi Fountain is also an easy walk, but was closed for repairs during our visit. The neighborhood around Piazza Novona is fantastic! Restaurants and bars lining the streets for many blocks in all directions. And the piazza itself is tremendous. Music, painters, fountains, great people watching, restaurants, etc. And Campo de Fiori is right around the corner. Fiora made arrangements for transportation from airport and to train station for us. Stefano, who met us at the airport, was great. Overall, a solid apartment, and fantastic location."

  • Great apartment in great location!!!

"I stayed in this apartment last month during my trip to Rome and it was outstanding! The apartment was beautiful with properly working air con and a very cosy feel. It's on a very quiet street that is tucked away, but only minutes to places like Campo de fiore, piazza navona, saint peter's and much more. The owners were very accommodating, so much so that they arranged door to door car service for us and also provided us with all the information we needed for restaurants and sight seeing. If you're looking for a beautiful apartment, great night sleep, amazing location, and dream getaway... look no further!"

  • Amazing stay in the most lovely and central apartment in Rome!

"This apartment is part of a converted monastery and is located between piazza navona and campo de fiori. Very suggestive and the location could not be better! We never have to drive; we walked everywhere from there. Two very nice bedrooms and bathroom. Total privacy for 4 and can sleep up to 6. plenty of restaurants all around, and the famous flower market is right there!! the owner and the manager were both available on the phone and in person at all times in case of need. and they also were able to recommend best places in town and help arrange a trip to the amalfi coast. unforgettable vacation. thank you."

Where and What to Eat in Rome

One of the things some holidaymakers look forward to on vacation is sampling the area's cuisine. There are many opportunities to try the best of Roman cuisine from Navona vacation rentals. There are many restaurants in and around the Piazza Navona. Two popular ones are Trattoria da Francesco, known for great food and reasonable prices, and Margutta Ristorante, the restaurant of choice for vegetarians. Their cheese ravioli has a reputation of being the best. Persons who like cooking for themselves can try preparing their own dishes unique to Rome from the comfort of their rented Navona accommodation. While Italian cuisine is well known worldwide, each area of Italy has its own specialties with Rome being no different. Some favorites are pasta amatriciana, bruschetta (toasted bread coated with garlic) and Carciofi alla giudea (battered, fried artichokes).

Attractions in Rome

When in Rome, Italy, there are so many attractions it's hard to decide what to see and where to go.
