  • Great apartment in great location!!!

"I stayed in this apartment last month during my trip to Rome and it was outstanding! The apartment was beautiful with properly working air con and a very cosy feel. It's on a very quiet street that is tucked away, but only minutes to places like Campo de fiore, piazza navona, saint peter's and much more. The owners were very accommodating, so much so that they arranged door to door car service for us and also provided us with all the information we needed for restaurants and sight seeing. If you're looking for a beautiful apartment, great night sleep, amazing location, and dream getaway... look no further!"

  • When in Rome, live as the Romans do

"We stayed at Campo dei Fiori for 8 days and loved every minute so in the spirit of the Colosseum have no hesitation providing a "thumbs up" recomendation. As has been mentioned by everyone, it's noisy but you close the shutters and doors and the world goes away. Just not sure why you would want the world to go away? The band is wonderful in the piazza, the guitarist phenomenal. The magician so bad you have to laugh, the lady making bubbles for the kids (and kids at heart) magical. The market stalls and outdoor restaurants make you wonder why you need to leave piazza. The flat is fully equipped. It has a tv, but no idea if it works, we never turned it on. Remember the live entertainment right outside the window!? It doesn't have a weigh scale and after 8 days in Rome we were very happy about that. It does have big fluffy bath sheets that you could use as a toga. Maybe a few hand towels would have been nice as well and more than 1 dish towel - but that just meant we needed to eat out rather than in. The sacrifices one makes while on vacation. The location is perfect. Every major tourist attraction from the Vatican to the coliseum, to Trestevere and the Spanish Steps are all out one of the streets leading you out of the piazza. We never took transportation anywhere other than to and from the airport. The flat is comfortable. It has both a ceiling fan in the living room and air conditioning in the bedroom. That was welcome when we were there as it was wonderfully warm days and nights. Washer and an outdoor clothes line make you feel like a local, but an indoor drying rack worked well too. Bathroom very functional with lots of shelving. The sink taps are a bit slow to turn on, but water pressure and temperature is great. Wifi worked wonderfully. We brought an electrical converter, but there is also one in the flat along with maps and books. There is a book giving information on the neighborhood, the buses, taxis, grocery stores etc, One small thing. Not sure what we could recycle and what we couldn't and then exactly where it should be put. Fiona and Nuir were wonderful to deal with before and at arrival. They even arranged transport for us to and from the airport that was fair and efficient. All around a wonderful Roman holiday, in no small part due to our fantastic accommodations."

  • This is how to travel

"My husband, our four adult children and I had four wonderful days here. We had stayed in Rome last year in a hotel, which was very nice, but this was amazing. It added a whole new dimension to the experience of being in Rome. It was a very warm week and the ac was exceptional, better than our hotel in August! Excellent wifi, great location. HUGE apt for all of us to spread out in and relax. Washer and dryer were great. We felt very secure with the locked street door in addition to our apartment door locks. We got up in the morning and walked to the Campo di Fiori for fruit and stopped for pastries on the way home. My son figured out the italian coffee maker but you could get your coffee at the shop to the left of the street door. Everyone we met in this neighborhood was wonderful. I dare not recommend it, in case it becomes too popular and is not available for our next visit."

Where and What to Eat in Rome

One of the things some holidaymakers look forward to on vacation is sampling the area's cuisine. There are many opportunities to try the best of Roman cuisine from Navona vacation rentals. There are many restaurants in and around the Piazza Navona. Two popular ones are Trattoria da Francesco, known for great food and reasonable prices, and Margutta Ristorante, the restaurant of choice for vegetarians. While Italian cuisine is well known worldwide, each area of Italy has its own specialties with Rome being no different. Some favorites are pasta amatriciana, bruschetta (toasted bread coated with garlic) and Carciofi alla giudea (battered, fried artichokes).
