  • Much better than I anticipated

"I have been to Rome many, many times. I love the Campo Dei Fiori area and have stayed in numerous apartments there. This has to be the best one yet. It was clean, larger than anticipated, fairly well updated and in the perfect location. I was concerned with the proximity to the Square due to the Noise Level. But once inside the apartment it was very quiet and comfortable. And yet just a few feet out the door and into the square. The location is perfect. The building is in great shape and the large elevator sure made a difference. I would most definately stay here again."

  • Fantastic Bright Apartment in Piazza Farnese with Great Terrace and Super Hosts

"We spent eight weeks in this fantastic apartment and would HIGHLY recommend it to any individual or couple who wants the "perfect" apartment in the heart of Rome. LOCATION IS IDEAL!!! The apartment is located on the corner of Piazza Farnese. That's where Palazzo Farnese sits (Renaissance palace designed by Michelangelo and now the French Embassy--Michelangelo's frescoes pop out at night when they turn on the lights). Our favorite bar, Caffe' Farnese, is in the same piazza, and there are a few restaurants there, too--most notably Ar Galetto. Piazza Farnese is 10 seconds from the fabulous Campo de Fiori market, where you can buy fresh food if you want to do your own cooking (find the fruit/vegetable vendor, Franca, a 90-year-old woman who tells you exactly what you need!). But as busy and noisy as Campo de Fiori is, the apartment is calm and quiet--so it's the perfect combination. And everything in central Rome is in fairly easy walking distance. THE APARTMENT ITSELF is ideal for the single individual or couple. The bedroom, though small, is quite comfortable and has two substantial armadios. The bathroom is not at all cramped--it has a bathtub with shower and all the other amenities. The livingroom is also quite comfortable and has nice sitting space. The kitchen, though a galley kitchen and therefore hard for more than one person at a time to work in, was fine for the cooking that we did. There is also great heating and air conditioning, a washing machine, and flawless wireless service. But the REAL GEM of this apartment is the TERRACE, which has an outstanding view down on Piazza Farnese and is large enough to accommodate both a four-seater table and two chaise lounges (provided for you). It's really a knock-out. THE HOSTS, Walter and Natalia, are sweet, accommodating, and VERY responsive to every little question you might have. They also gave us great suggestions for things to see and do that were off the beaten path. In short, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. We LOVED it!!! Two quick caveats: our daughter stayed with us for two nights and slept on the couch. What is a perfect apartment for 1 or 2 starts to feel cramped with 3. Also, the apartment is 60-some steps up from ground level, and there is no elevator. This did not bother us at all--in fact, it's precisely why the terrace is so fabulous--but it's not the right place for anyone who has trouble with going up and down many stairs multiple times a day."

  • Baby Orsetto - perfect for Rome Vacation

"We stayed 8 great nights in Baby Orsetto. The bedroom was very spacious with plenty of room for hang up clothes as well as dresser/folding clothes. The bed was bigger than a queen and very comfortable. I believe that the bedroom is bigger than most in the area. All wood floors in bedroom and everywhere else. The bathroom was very nice and again spacious. Having a tub and shower (handheld) was a nice feature, but need to remember to keep the wall switch “on” for the water heater. Kitchen was small, with convenience fridge, microwave, gas stove, small dishwasher and plenty of utensils, dishes and pots/pans. We did not cook much so the kitchen was a place for small breakfast items, pop, etc. The laundry machine worked fine, once we figured out how to use it. The manual is in Italian of course, but a little internet search and we washed several times. The apartment has a clothes rack that if we laid out wet clothes one day, the next they would be dry. What a luggage room saver to know that you can do laundry. Family room was big with slightly dated furniture, but comfortable. The big glass doors open up to a railing with great views and nice breezes. The TV was there, but when you are busy eating, shopping, sightseeing and living like a Roman, who has time to watch TV broadcast in Italian? The elevator is easy to use and gets to actually higher than you need to go, but due to building elevation differences, you have to go down a set of stairs (easy) to get to Baby Orsetto. No problem. Dealing with Fillippo and his staff of Lavinia and Iryna was splendid and they are easy to do business with. They could be reached any time by phone or email. We explored all of Rome using buses and footpower to get everywhere. I would and will recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome and would stay there again."

  • Great location, wonderful apartment with an equally wonderful host!

"We stayed here middle of June for 3 nights with our teenage boys. This apartment is in a perfect location for sight seeing. The apartment itself is beautiful kept and tastefully done up. All the major attractions are within walking distance. Campo de Fiori is a block away and Piazza Navona is just a couple of blocks away. Tons of restaurants around the apartment. Laura is a graceful host and took care of all our needs. We actually had a little bit of a medical emergency and she was extremely helpful. If you are looking for a 2bd/bath place to stay in Rome - look no further."
