"A couple of snafus when we first tried checking into this apartment, which scared us. We emailed Antonella several times days in advance asking what else she needed from us and how to get into the apartment. We also stated several times that we did not have access to phone, only email, so we needed precise information via email right away. She sent us her telephone number, but didn’t provide the country code, so when we borrowed a phone while waiting at the apartment doorstep, the number she gave us wouldn’t go through. She also forgot to tell us what apartment doorbell to ring. She did finally send us the correct information we needed but not until we were already checking out of our hotel, which was too late. We got into our taxi to head over to apartment at the agreed meeting time of noon, but didn’t know which buzzer to press. We stood there pushing all the buzzers, angering other people. It would have been easier had she provided such information in a timely manner, like the day or two before when we asked. Then when we got there, we ended up angering Antonella when we didn’t have the cash to pay her for rent upon arriving. When arriving in Rome the day before, our ATM card wasn’t set up for international use so we couldn’t draw money out. We tried using our credit card but didn’t know the 12-digit security code for international withdrawals. Grrr, I couldn’t believe we let this happen to ourselves. The next day when we went to check in at Antonella's then, she showed us where the bank was, but they were closed. We got onto Paypal (thankfully I wrote all our passwords onto my computer before) and paid her that way and just paid the extra fee ourselves. That was the only bad part about our week's stay. Lovely apartment and location. Our favorite part -- the windows. They are extraordinary! Huge and tall with very long drapes you can easily open and close. Got fairly hot in the afternoons, so if we were there, we used the air conditioners, which worked quickly and efficiently. We loved having the windows opened when we could because of the breezes and romantic music that serenaded us early evenings. Bedrooms are small, but ample closet space and the beds are comfortable. Because of the way the apartment is laid out, four of us never felt crowded. Bathrooms are very, very small. The one shower would only be useful for kids, but the other shower is plenty tall enough. Water pressure really good. Perfect place for family of 4!"
