  • Home away from home

"I spent two moths in this apartment and must admit it was a perfect choice. The place is modern, spacey and bright, which normally is not the case with the apartments in the narrow streets of old Rome. As it is stated in the description, the staircase is steep and might be a challenge for people with limited mobility. In the apartment ou will find there all the necessary things like kitchen utensils, linens, towels, iron and ironing board etc. The internet works very well as well. A huge wardrobe in the bedroom gives you plenty of storage space as well. The bathroom and the shower cabin are large. There was some trouble with the water pressure during my stay (due to the high calcium content in Roman water) but Chiara solved the problem right away sending the plumber to fix it. There is no washing machine, which could be useful for a longer stay, but there is a very efficient and inexpensive laundry downstairs, just couple of steps from the apartment. Both the living room and the bedroom are equipped with a AC/heating unit, so you can set your desired temperature and depending on the season warm the place up or cool it down within a couple of minutes. The location is probably the biggest advantage. I cannot imagine being placed more central. It is just off Piazza del Fico – with the legendary Bar del Fico 20 meters from the entrance. And yes, it means a lot of noise in the evenings, especially on the weekends, but the bedroom is facing the other side of the building, a silent courtyard so the outside activity does not bother you if you want to sleep. And it feels so good just to get out of the building and be right in the middle of the action! There are two small supermarkets three minutes walk from the house. And obviously there are plenty of good restaurants around as well. It is a very short stroll of Piazza Navona and only a couple of minutes on foot from the Vatican, Panteon or Campo di Fiori. An excellent place!"

  • Location can't be beat; owner has too many properties and is too busy....

"This is a relatively nice apartment in a fantastic location. It is near wonderful plazas with great restaurants where you get to hang out, and eat, like locals. Living in this neighborhood for a week is getting to experience life in Rome in a way you don't with a big hotel. It is also well situated to to tourist attractions. I give this the highest ratings on location. The apartment itself is good, but not great. I don't think it was "fabulous" as some of these reviews suggest. The owner and staff are very nice people who work hard. But renters should know that even though they work hard, they seem to have too many properties to provide the highest level of service. Many things didn't work when we arrived. The washing machine didn't work, the electricity kept going out when we used the air conditioning with other appliances (and you have to find and flip the switch in the dark), and the shower drain was clogged up and didn't drain. Also, the shower head was clogged so water came out in a trickle. The owner DID make efforts to fix things when we complained. The washing machine (which we had counted on to wash clothes when we arrived) was fixed by the 3rd day, and on the 3rd day he also paid for some of our clothes to be cleaned because I kept complaining that we had arrived in Rome with all dirty clothes and had been counting on using the washing machine to wash all our clothes. It was not pleasant to wear dirty clothes for 3 days. He also had the shower drain cleaned on the 3rd day. The shower head was never fixed. I had asked him about parking before arriving, and he said there was none. So I arranged and paid for a private garage nearby to keep our car. But when we arrived he said there was free parking in the nearby plaza by the french embassy. Why didn't he tell me this before we arrived and I went through all the trouble to find a parking garage, reserve a spot and pay in advance? When we left, we accidentally left a blanket in the apartment....it was an important blanket that we got for our wedding that had been with us all around the world on every trip we have taken together. We could not get them to send it to us, even though we offered to pay them for shipping, etc. I realize they are not required to do this. It was our fault for leaving the blanket. I just give this as an example that they are very busy and don't provide the greatest level of service if a problem arises."

  • Unforgettable experience!

"Me and my family had an amazing experience in this house. It was our first time in Rome, and we enjoyed it very much. The house is located in a relatively distant region of Rome, but it is really easy to get on the city center. It is a very quiet place, with beautiful nature around. I especially recommend it for people who enjoy a peaceful stay in big cities."
