  • Wonderful Apartment in the Heart of Rome

"My husband and I spent three weeks in the beautiful Stoll apartment and loved every minute of it. We have previously rented eight other apartments in Rome, and this is by far the nicest we have seen. It is very spacious, and would be very comfortable for four people. The bathrooms are beautiful, and efficiently designed. The kitchen is wonderful with a four burner stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a full size refrigerator/freezer. It also has a full size washing machine and separate dryer (very unusual for Italy). The location couldn't have been better. While the entrance on busy (pedestrian) Via del Govero Vecchio, this apartment is set around a bright courtyard and is amazingly quiet. We love walking in Rome, and we reached the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums and the Borghese Gallery in 20 to 30 minutes. There are many restaurants in the area, and the apartment comes with complete instructions for all appliances and helpful recommendations for shops and restaurants. You will love this apartment, and will want to return - just as we hope to do soon."

  • We didn't stay here but we started from this listing

"When I was trying to book this one, the owner told it was not available and recommended a different one. A week before we arrived, he informed us the alternative A was flooded and provided the alternative B. We did stay in B and it was fine. Just thought the experience is interesting to make a comment."

  • Wonderful rental for family holiday

"First rate rental. Wonderfully decorated and equipped with a central location that is a great launching off point to explore Rome. We spent two weeks in Camillo and Veronica's wonderful three bedroom apartment and have no reservation in recommending this apartment as a perfect place for a family holiday. Would rent the property again on an subsequent visit to Rome."

  • Charming Apartment

"This apartment was perfect for our nine day stay in Rome! Very convenient to many top attractions and the premier shopping district. We often mentioned that there was enough space for us to sit, cook, have lunch outside on the small balcony and without it we would have been claustropic in a hotel room. Francesco met us on our arrival and reviewed the manner to turn on the gas for the stove, the heat, etc. and after that we were on our own! Knowing Francesco was in the building was great reassurance for us! Balcony is cool! Basic cooking equipment is there so we made a few basic meals. There is a small fresh vegetable and fruit market right behind the apartment building that is open each day between 8-1 for shopping needs and we were able to find a few grocery stores about three blocks away. The apartment is quiet, clean and great! We would use it again. Right out the window is a beautiful church, San Carlo al Corso, which was awesome to explore, and literally two blocks away is the excavation site for the Mausoleum of Augustus and the museum for the Ara Pacis. Walking to Spanish Steps is 2 minutes, Pantheon is 10 minutes, Vatican is 30 minutes. We stumbled on a small restaurant called Gino's after exploring the neighborhood and it was fun, good food and a local hangout! Much later we found it listed in Rick Steve's Rome book and our Top Ten Rome book. The apartment is also located quite near the Italian Senate in the Palazzo Madama and the Parliament. I recommend arranging tours of both these buildings. Talking politics with Romans is fascinating and you are easily able to gauge their love of their country. My husband liked the 100 steps to the apartment, it kept us in shape. Taxi stand is literally outside the front door. Termini Train station is about 30 minute walk away. Upon arrival in Rome, we walked to apartment, but I would not recommend to do the same. Rome's sidewalks are uneven, made of cobblestones, blocked, two feet wide...you get the picture...it was difficult to roll our bags that distance. Taxi from station would be so much easier. Thank you Francesco!"
