  • Wonderful stay in Rome

"Thank you Massimo and Alex! We had a wonderful stay at your apartment. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. All renting transactions were very smooth and easy. Transportation, taxi stand, supermarket - everything is nearby. Small bedroom window is facing courtyard of the building and very quite. Courtyard is gated and secure. Trastevere district is so lively at night and we enjoyed stating in it a lot. We would happily stay there again and again!"

  • The trip was the best vacation ever!!!

"Since we have never gone out of the USA, we were a little worried not knowing if this Roman apartment would meet our expectations. However, it met our expectations and beyond. The owner is absolutely nice and very helpful. The apartment is big, clean and has a Roman touch. When the opportunity arises, we will definitely make reservations with this property again and would recommend this house to anyone who is planning to make a trip to Rome. Oh, the bus stop was right around the corner and the house had all the accommodations of home!!"

  • Absolutely Perfect in Every Way

"We traveled to Rome in September of 2012 for holiday and a birthday celebration. We booked this apartment very last minute because there were 3 of us and we could not agree on anything. My Mother in-Law and I finally agreed to just go with this one because it was getting close and we liked the pictures. The owner made the transaction very easy and priced it very fairly for the odd number of days we were to stay. I have to say that I was a little nervous on the drive to the apartment, hoping that it would be the same as depicted and described. When the car pulled up to the front door on this very tiny street lined with flowers it was as if I had been transported back in time. A time of Romance and reality. When we walked into the apartment it was spotless and exactly as pictured. Being from the U.S. it was much smaller than I was used to but had absolutely every accommodation that you could possibly need. I had also read that this was the ideal neighborhood to stay in if you want to stay away from the tourist style vacationing. It is an ultimately Roman neighborhood. To see a tourist is very rare and it comes alive when the sun goes down. Every street is filled with fantastic restaurants and bars not a lot of annoying peddlers selling tourist trap novelties but, instead there are true artisans and street performers and some of the most gorgeous people on the planet. And at the end of every exciting night I was so happy to return to our little Roman flat. Now, If your someone who absolutely, without a doubt must have total silence when you go to bed at night.... this may not be for you as it is directly above a very popular restaurant. It closes around 10:00 but, the owner and her husband prepare dinner for themselves and their staff after they close and stay up having wine and talking and laughing all night long and the move on to cleaning the dishes in a kitchen that is directly under the bedroom window. So you can hear the clanking of pots and pans all night. However for us.... this just added to our experience and we got to know the owners and they were wonderful and invited us to one of there late night parties the evening before we left! :) I honestly can not say enough great things about this neighborhood and this apartment and the owner. I now consider it my Roman home. As long as they are still renting it for vacationers I will be renting it. We can't wait to go back & stay in our Roman home again. Ryan, Marc and Alicia"

  • Lovely apartment in great location

"We spent a week in Rome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The street is quiet and beautiful, the apartment is spacious and comfortable, and Paolo was very helpful and responsive. The apartment is convenient to the ancient Rome sites, the Vatican, Piazza Navona, etc., and public transportation. We loved staying in Trastevere and have recommended Paolo's apartment to our family and friends."

Trastevere Travel Tips

Discover Rome with Trastevere Vacation Rentals

Rich in culture, Roman nightlife, restaurants and clubs, Trastevere is a wonderful section of Rome; you'll love exploring this area from your choice of numerous Trastevere vacation rentals and Rome apartments. When in Trastevere, you'll find yourself immersed in rich cultural heritage and surroundings. The streets of Trastevere are narrow, winding and cobbled and could lead you on an unexpected adventure.

Beautiful and Ornate Churches near Your Trastevere Accommodation

One of the oldest churches in the city is Santa Maria; the interior is a mismatched collection of pieces of ancient Roman buildings. Some say that this church has some of the finest mosaics in Rome. Also ornate and beautiful is the Church of Santa Cecilia; but bring your Italian dictionary because all the informational plaques are written in Italian. Another famous church is San Pietro in Motorio commissioned by Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain and signifies the spot where St. Peter was crucified.

Take a day trip from your Trastevere accommodation to the Isola Tiberina, which is an island in the middle of the Tiber River. This island features Fatebenefratelli, a major hospital as well as a small synagogue. During the Second World War, this tiny synagogue was used when Rome's main synagogue was closed.

World Famous Rome Shopping

If shopping is your adventure, make sure to visit Viale de Trastevere. Located close to Rome apartments, you can find vendor stands selling everything from fresh fruit and flowers to clothing and accessories. And Porta Portese is a huge Italian flea market that is not to be missed.

Your Trastevere vacation rental will include many amenities including multiple bedrooms and kitchens where you can prepare a wonderful meal. But when you're ready to taste the local cuisine, Trastevere is considered one of the best area's in Rome for great Italian food at great prices. Local favorites include Augusto and Glass Hostaria.
