  • very cozy and nice!

"Thank you very much for the time being in Rome. We did like very much the apartment – it is cozy and lovely and surroundings as well, everything was perfect and even my mama 78 years old overcame 32 steps to get home every day. There are shops, bars, restorants, vegetable market everything are close to the apartment. The map is useful and nice gift from Andrea. By evenings we liked to read albums and books with your shows and beutiful pictures. Irina also was very helpful and very nice person!"

  • Wonderful apartment for visiting Rome

"My husband and I and 2 friends stayed in this lovely apartment while touring Rome. We enjoyed the neighborhood with lots of good restaurants close by and the convenience to public transit. Arianna welcomed us with a bottle of wine and cookies along with advice about places to eat, etc. Everything that we needed to enjoy our stay was provided and we were very comfortable."

"The Trastavere Penthouse was amazing. It is modern, well supplied, and very clean. We had a great time. It is in a wonderful section of Trastavere and you can walk to any of the sites. Alessio is wonderful. He takes the time to show you around, and truly wants to make your stay wonderful!"

  • Roman fantasy

"I could reiterate all that the previous reviewers have said about this apartment; the apartment and its owner were both wonderful beyond expectation. My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks in this lovely apartment located in a non-touristy neighborhood in southern Rome. This was our second time in Rome, but quite different from our first stay when we did visit most of the tourist spots. This time, we found ourselves just living in the neighborhood, trying to immerse ourselves as best we could in Roman residential life. Almost every day, I went to the farmers' market next to the apartment building to buy food for the day, and to the fabulous Albanesi bakery a couple of blocks away for various types of breads. Sounds simple, but I very much enjoyed just getting to know the neighborhood and observing the residents live their everyday lives. I appreciated becoming somewhat familiar with everyday Roman life, and noticing the residents' taking time to engage with one another in conversation and to enjoy the simple pleasures of life (of which there seem to be many in Italy!). There seems to be a real wisdom in this kind of lifestyle, and a lesson for me to somehow integrate into my too busy life in the States. Giorgio was a most gracious, generous and genuine host. He was very responsive to my questions during our stay, and would e-mail me suggestions of sites to visit. As the other reviewers have stated, he did all he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his apartment to others travelling to Rome, especially to those who want to get a taste of Roman life away from the tourists, and who want to practice their Italian language skills. The apartment is indeed quiet at night; we had no problems sleeping peacefully. The terraces are perfect not only for meals but for reading, writing or just musing on life. Needless to say, I was sad to leave Rome and this apartment, so am hoping for a return visit!"
