  • A wonderful month in Roma!

"My wife and I had the pleasure of calling this apartment home for the entire month of October 2014. Barbara was a very accommodating host. Upon our arrival she had beverages and snacks waiting and spent the better part of an hour walking us through the map to help us get our bearings. She also provided many great recommendations for where to eat and what to visit. She was very responsive to email and phone calls. The apartment itself was very cozy and quiet. We loved waking up each morning to enjoy our tea and listen to the faint sounds of Piazza Farnese. At most times you could even hear the fountains in the square. And the location was great. It's a stones throw from Campo de' Fiori and the great market and surrounding shops/restaurants. For great bread/pastry visit Il Forno in the northwest corner. We also liked the proximity to Trastevere as it was a quick 5 minute walk to visit the cool shops/bars/restaurants over the Ponte Sisto. If you like to run as we do, it's a quick trip to the running/biking path along the Tiber. The apartment is also very convenient to public transportation and the 64 bus can get you to the Termini in 10 to 15 minutes. We spent a lot of time simply wandering around the city on foot and most if not all of the main attractions are w/in walking distance, including the Vatican and Colosseo. Because we stayed for such a long time we chose to cook quite a bit, and despite the kitchen being small, it had everything we needed. There was ample storage for our belongings and it was great to be able to do laundry out on the small back patio. The air conditioning in the bedroom came in handy a few nights as most of October was quite warm in the city. We even spent some time reading up in the loft. I would highly recommend staying at Barbara's apartment, we feel very fortunate to have found this space and will have great memories of our time there."
