  • Perfect location and ambience for visit to Rome

"This apartment's location and amenities surpassed our expectations. The apartment is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the Trastavere train station (easy from Airport train) and a quick electric bus ride to centre of city. Also, only 15 minute walk to Pyramid station and trip to Ostia Antica. The apartment overlooks the Tiber river and can access a walking/jogging/biking trail (which I did and enjoyed a beautiful run early in the morning). It is a quiet respite from hustle and bustle of city centre. Great restaurants and shopping in easy walking distance. The owner met us at the apartment and could not have been more helpful and courteous."

  • Great apartment, Fantastic location!

"My family of 5 stayed there for 3 nights and had a great time. The apartment is located in a very charming area of Rome. You are walking distance from many restaurants and many of the popular sites in Rome. The apartment had a great terrace over looking the roof tops. We even made our own supper one night with the bbq on the terrace! Alessio was very helpful throughout the rental process as well as providing lots of help when we got there. Thank You Alessio!!"

  • Fantastic experience

"This was our first trip to Rome and the experience was fantastic. The apartment had everything we needed for our family of 5 (my wife and I plus our 3 sons ages 24, 22 and 19) . It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, the plumbing worked well and we were glad to have air conditioning during the warm temperatures. The location of the apartment is about 1.5 miles (2.5 km) from the Colosseum and the Vatican. It was very easy to walk throughout Rome from where we were located. We walked approximately 8 miles (12.8 km) on each of the four days in Rome and always made it back to the apartment without any difficulty. The district was full of wonderful restaurants, too bad we couldn't try them all. Two of the recommendations from the guest book were fantastic choices. It was also a very scenic and historic area. Several beautiful churches nearby and Garibaldi Park is a 15 minute walk away. It has a terrific panoramic view of Rome. We always felt safe in the area even when we were out until almost 12:00am (2400 hr). I would highly recommend this apartment for any travelers who are coming to Rome. In addition, also take advantage of the recommendations for tour guide from Luigi. Mr Francesco was an excellent guide with an incredible knowledge of Rome and its history. We really had a fantastic trip and everything you did for us was appreciated."

  • A little piece of Heaven

"From beginning to end this apartment was spectacular. !!!! We were greeted by Giorgio and Fredric at the building entrance. While Fredrico took our luggage, Giorgio gave a neighborhood tour, which was extremely helpful in getting oriented in this bustling residential area with many shops and eateries. Upon entering the apartment it felt like a bit of heaven. The decor was exquisite and the terraces were over flowing with beautiful flowers and the privacy fence covered with Jasmine. The smells were intoxicating. The welcome basket of fruits, olives, candies, champagne and wine were delicious beyond compare. The expresso machine was a godsend and the kitchen was fully equipped. The apt was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Even though the not close by it was definitely walkable. The bus stop was conviently located just around the corner from the apt. The wonderful outdoor market was just steps away from the front door. The friendly restaurant just a block down with outdoor seating was highly recommended by Giorgio and we did indeed eat there several times. Very friendly staff and good service. Giorgio was attentive and helpful with recommendations of sight seeing and activities. Both he and Fredrico drove us to the airport for an easy transition to our next adventure. Grazie Mille Giorgio for a wonderful piece of heaven."

Trastevere Travel Tips

Discover Rome with Trastevere Vacation Rentals

Rich in culture, Roman nightlife, restaurants and clubs, Trastevere is a wonderful section of Rome; you'll love exploring this area from your choice of numerous Trastevere vacation rentals and Rome apartments. When in Trastevere, you'll find yourself immersed in rich cultural heritage and surroundings. The streets of Trastevere are narrow, winding and cobbled and could lead you on an unexpected adventure.

Beautiful and Ornate Churches near Your Trastevere Accommodation

One of the oldest churches in the city is Santa Maria; the interior is a mismatched collection of pieces of ancient Roman buildings. Some say that this church has some of the finest mosaics in Rome. Also ornate and beautiful is the Church of Santa Cecilia; but bring your Italian dictionary because all the informational plaques are written in Italian. Another famous church is San Pietro in Motorio commissioned by Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain and signifies the spot where St. Peter was crucified.

Take a day trip from your Trastevere accommodation to the Isola Tiberina, which is an island in the middle of the Tiber River. This island features Fatebenefratelli, a major hospital as well as a small synagogue. During the Second World War, this tiny synagogue was used when Rome's main synagogue was closed.

World Famous Rome Shopping

If shopping is your adventure, make sure to visit Viale de Trastevere. Located close to Rome apartments, you can find vendor stands selling everything from fresh fruit and flowers to clothing and accessories. And Porta Portese is a huge Italian flea market that is not to be missed.

Your Trastevere vacation rental will include many amenities including multiple bedrooms and kitchens where you can prepare a wonderful meal. But when you're ready to taste the local cuisine, Trastevere is considered one of the best area's in Rome for great Italian food at great prices. Local favorites include Augusto and Glass Hostaria.
