  • Perfect!

"What a lovely, comfortable, bright and incredibly clean apartment on a quiet block in Trastevere. We felt so at home during the four nights we stayed here. The apartment was perfect for my husband and myself and our 15 year-old daughter and 10 year-old son. While we did not really cook because we had so many restaurants on our list to visit, the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked (including important basics like olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, Italian coffee pot) and we were thrilled to enjoy our morning coffee there each day. We did not have the opportunity to meet Nicoletta, but did have the pleasure of being greeted by her lovely husband who provided us will all the information we needed to enjoy the apartment and Rome. The location is wonderful, and we walked everywhere in Rome near and far. I wish we could have spent more time in Rome and in this apartment. I would definitely recommend it to friends and relatives. Thank you so much for helping us have such a wonderful time in Rome!"

  • Our stay was great!

"Gianmarco was very helpful, answering my messages quickly and setting us an airport transfer. The apartment was great, very clean and with a lot of facilities such as internet, coffee machine, air conditioner and wash machine. The location is good, five minutes from Tratevere station and the line 8 from the Tram, that connects you with all Rome. In the corner of the apartments street there was a bakery where we could take breakfast and crossing the street, there was a very nice Italian restaurant with fair price. Our stay was great! Grazie Mille Gianmarco"

  • Quiet 'cul de sac' in Trastevere

"This apartment is less than a 100 meters from the beating heart of Trastevere. Yet it is a surprisingly calm little outpost being at the end of a narrow street that terminates at one of the ancient Roman 'Aurelian' walls -- no cars, motorcyles or partiers at night. 2 minute walk to the Sisto bridge that leads across the Tiber to city center with major sights. Neighbors seem to be working class locals and they are friendly. Apartment very modern and clean. Marta great to deal with."

  • Nice Apartment! Great Stay!

"My dad and I stayed here for a few nights in March; I slept on the couch, which was very comfortable! The apartment was large for Italian standards and had every amenity you might need, and it was very clean. We had no problems with hot water or electricity like we have had in other apartments. The large courtyard was beautiful! You actually walk through two courtyards to get to the apartment; it's a nice quiet oasis in the busy Trastevere area. We never heard any noise from the piazza. Cecilia was very communicative and Elena, who met us at the property, was super friendly and helpful in explaining everything about the apartment. I recommend this apartment 100% and would definitely stay here again! Grazie!"

Trastevere Travel Tips

Discover Rome with Trastevere Vacation Rentals

Rich in culture, Roman nightlife, restaurants and clubs, Trastevere is a wonderful section of Rome; you'll love exploring this area from your choice of numerous Trastevere vacation rentals and Rome apartments. When in Trastevere, you'll find yourself immersed in rich cultural heritage and surroundings. The streets of Trastevere are narrow, winding and cobbled and could lead you on an unexpected adventure.

Beautiful and Ornate Churches near Your Trastevere Accommodation

One of the oldest churches in the city is Santa Maria; the interior is a mismatched collection of pieces of ancient Roman buildings. Some say that this church has some of the finest mosaics in Rome. Also ornate and beautiful is the Church of Santa Cecilia; but bring your Italian dictionary because all the informational plaques are written in Italian. Another famous church is San Pietro in Motorio commissioned by Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain and signifies the spot where St. Peter was crucified.

Take a day trip from your Trastevere accommodation to the Isola Tiberina, which is an island in the middle of the Tiber River. This island features Fatebenefratelli, a major hospital as well as a small synagogue. During the Second World War, this tiny synagogue was used when Rome's main synagogue was closed.

World Famous Rome Shopping

If shopping is your adventure, make sure to visit Viale de Trastevere. Located close to Rome apartments, you can find vendor stands selling everything from fresh fruit and flowers to clothing and accessories. And Porta Portese is a huge Italian flea market that is not to be missed.

Your Trastevere vacation rental will include many amenities including multiple bedrooms and kitchens where you can prepare a wonderful meal. But when you're ready to taste the local cuisine, Trastevere is considered one of the best area's in Rome for great Italian food at great prices. Local favorites include Augusto and Glass Hostaria.
