  • Location can't be beat; owner has too many properties and is too busy....

"This is a relatively nice apartment in a fantastic location. It is near wonderful plazas with great restaurants where you get to hang out, and eat, like locals. Living in this neighborhood for a week is getting to experience life in Rome in a way you don't with a big hotel. It is also well situated to to tourist attractions. I give this the highest ratings on location. The apartment itself is good, but not great. I don't think it was "fabulous" as some of these reviews suggest. The owner and staff are very nice people who work hard. But renters should know that even though they work hard, they seem to have too many properties to provide the highest level of service. Many things didn't work when we arrived. The washing machine didn't work, the electricity kept going out when we used the air conditioning with other appliances (and you have to find and flip the switch in the dark), and the shower drain was clogged up and didn't drain. Also, the shower head was clogged so water came out in a trickle. The owner DID make efforts to fix things when we complained. The washing machine (which we had counted on to wash clothes when we arrived) was fixed by the 3rd day, and on the 3rd day he also paid for some of our clothes to be cleaned because I kept complaining that we had arrived in Rome with all dirty clothes and had been counting on using the washing machine to wash all our clothes. It was not pleasant to wear dirty clothes for 3 days. He also had the shower drain cleaned on the 3rd day. The shower head was never fixed. I had asked him about parking before arriving, and he said there was none. So I arranged and paid for a private garage nearby to keep our car. But when we arrived he said there was free parking in the nearby plaza by the french embassy. Why didn't he tell me this before we arrived and I went through all the trouble to find a parking garage, reserve a spot and pay in advance? When we left, we accidentally left a blanket in the apartment....it was an important blanket that we got for our wedding that had been with us all around the world on every trip we have taken together. We could not get them to send it to us, even though we offered to pay them for shipping, etc. I realize they are not required to do this. It was our fault for leaving the blanket. I just give this as an example that they are very busy and don't provide the greatest level of service if a problem arises."

  • Great location, quiet and clean

"We spent the last three days of our Italian vacation in Rome at this nice apartment. It is steps away from Piazza del Popolo, which is a very wide open area with a large fountain, three churches, restaurants and lots of activity. The Borghese gardens begin on the other side of this piazza. The main street Via del Corso for shopping and walking is also close by and it is easy to get oriented to Rome from this location. We found the apartment very clean, bright and spacious. There were some provisions in the kitchen that saved us the first night until we found a grocery store. Luca was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and other helpful insights. The master bed is very comfortable and everything in the apartment was in good working condition."

  • The Best of the Best in Rome!

"This was the second time we discovered a remarkable VRBO property and we can definitely state this was another great experience. The nicely decorated apartment was exactly as pictured and the owners' hospitality was extraordinary. Alex and Roberta, who speak English, went out of their way to make us feel at home. From the very first day that we agreed on being their guests, they were extremely helpful and promptly answered all our questions via email. For us, a mature couple, interested in the culture and Italian home-made cuisine, our hosts proved to be the BEST giving us suggestions of all sorts. Before our arrival they sent us very useful information on Rome and quick tips to enjoy our surroundings. Besides, they arranged our airport transfers with a good, trust-worthy driver which gave us peace of mind upon our arrival. The apartment is ideally located close to the Vatican, shops and sightseeing bus stops and the metro. We are very happy to have selected this property for my partner's 60th Birthday celebration in Italy. Besides, the warmth and new friendship with Roberta and Alex, we felt secure and welcomed. The flat was our "headquarters" as we traveled by train to Florence and Venice and, of course, our hosts gave us valuable tips for these trips as well. One important factor was the closeness of the Ottaviano metro station(5 blocks) from which we were able to quickly visit all the major landmarks like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Plaza Espana, among others. If we could sum up our experience, it was PERFECT in every way. This property provides everything one needs: cooking utensils, cozy living room and comfortable queen bed, best location, accessible, secure and well-priced. We will come back to greet our new friends, Alex and Roberta. We highly recommend this flat for longer stays like ours. Thank you for a marvelous time in Italy!"

  • Wonderful Apartment with Amazing Views

"My family of 5 stayed in Cecilia's apartment for 4 nights in July. There was plenty of room for everyone. The photos on the listing are accurate. The apartment was very clean. The location of the apartment is perfect, we walked everywhere and took the Metro (very close to the apartment) a few times as well. The bar underneath the apartment does play loud music into the early hours, but it did not disturb us. Cecilia was very flexible with our check-in and check-out times. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!"

Trevi Travel Tips

Dream Vacations in Rome's Trevi Villas

Trevi villas are in a prime location for the vacation of your dreams. Anyone who has studied Rome knows that it is one of the most historically rich places in the world. Visitors to Trevi villas can usually walk to a plethora of places. The Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the bridges of Tiber River, and the Spanish Steps are just a few of the must see vacation places.

Choose a Vacation Rental instead of a Hotel

While you can also see these places if you stay in a hotel, being able to relax in a warm home-like atmosphere only enhances the experience. A hotel in a tourist-filled city like Rome tends to be a busy place, full of people who are in a hurry to get somewhere. When renting an apartment for your stay, there is no need to worry about the crowds once you have left the street.

Much to See and Do

Small, fresh-air markets are plentiful in Rome and a great place to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. Walking around in the markets and getting a feel for the city can be fun as well. Rome vacation rentals can give you a closer to daily life experience for those who are in Rome for the first time.

Join the Party

Many Trevi apartments are specifically described as being made for just one or two people. The quiet atmosphere lends itself to peaceful sleep away from stress as well as a romantic weekend for two. Some Trevi apartments, however, can sleep between four and six people, thus making it a great deal for a group getaway as well. Splitting the costs between all of those who are going will save you all money in the long run.
