  • Perfect Location, Comfort and Convenience

"We are just back from our stay at Via del Pelligrino 75, VRBO listing # 122538. We stayed for two weeks and time after time felt grateful to have such a sweet and comfortable refuge. Not only is the apartment well appointed with a comfortable bed, but the location is superb. The Via del Pellegrino feeds directly into the Campo di Fiori. Within about 100 meters from the front door you are in the daily market of the Campo di Fiori. Any direction you go in will take you to points of interest, all within walking distance. Everything happened as it was supposed to. When we walked out of customs at the airport our driver was waiting. When we arrived at the apartment, Uncle Franco was waiting for us with instructions on how to use the apartment and a quick tour of the neighborhood. We never saw Uncle Franco again, but we had contact info for him in the event we needed something. I have no doubt that if we had needed anything, help would have come quickly. On the day of our departure, the driver was at the front door, right on time. One reason we selected this particular apartment was because of it's ground floor location. One thing that worried me was the possibility of it being noisy at night. That was not the case. There was no noise from the street even though there were several restaurants and bars close by. Security did not seem to be a problem and the front door is like a vault. We would definitely stay there again and from what we saw in two weeks of wandering around Rome by foot, we would choose the Campo di Fiori neighborhood again without hesitation."

  • A very special home with thoughtful service

"This property exceeded our expectations, and it is actually better than advertised: the layout, furniture, décor, equipment, palace, location, views are truly beautiful. We particularly appreciated some the spaciousness - not only of the surface but also of the high ceilings - the sober yet beautiful décor, quiet, the perfect location, the views of Rome, they all gave us a feeling of serenity. Rome's infinite charms can exhaust you, and the apartment was our beautiful shelter after an intense day of sightseeing. At night we would open the windows to hear the water gushing from the Turtle Fountain beneath, which was our wonderful Renaissance lullaby. We also appreciated the attentive service provided by Morris and by the landlord. In August, when everything slows down in Rome, we were taken care thoughtfully, and they provided us with a stroller same day we asked. We felt special guests in a very special home, and we will definitely be back."

  • Great home in Rome!

"Our family of 4 stayed in Giuseppe's apartment for a week this winter and it completely lived up to the hype in all of the previous reviews. We had a great night tour with Giuseppe that helped us get oriented to Rome (and got us to some beautiful city overlooks we would never have found otherwise). I was thinking on our second day that the only thing missing was extra towels for the hot tub - and literally as I was thinking this Giuseppe showed up with extra towels. Its an easy walk (~10 minutes) from the apartment downhill into the fun little neighborhood just north of the Ponte Milvio over the Tiber and easier still to catch a bus at the stop just a few blocks from the apartment. The kitchen was well appointed and the espresso maker was a very nice touch. The hot tub was a great way to end long days of walking all over Rome. You are definitely not in the thick of Rome's tourist hub if you stay here (its a good 15-30 minute public transport commute into town), but for us the tradeoff in having such a great place to stay and such a nice, locals neighborhood to come home to was totally worth it. Thanks Giuseppe!"

  • Awesome hosts and location!

"As has been mentioned in many reviews, Natalia and Walter were excellent hosts. This was our first trip to Rome and had many questions. Not one e-mail went unanswered, even when they were on vacation. I also had a question once we returned and received a prompt response. Everything was as expected and even better. Transportation was arranged by the hosts from/to the airport. This worked out well but be prepared for the Rome traffic. Natalia met us at the apartment upon our arrival. She took the time to explain everything about the apartment and then sat down with us to go over our trip plans. She provided a city map and highlighted some important areas to visit on top of what we already had planned. This was great and allowed us to plan our days according to areas she had shown us. The apartment is located in a great area. It is within walking distance to many sights as well as a metro station just around the corner. We took the metro to Vatican City and it was a very easy process. We even walked back after taking the metro to other areas within the city. I would highly recommend this property for a couple interested in visiting Rome. I can't say enough about how helpful Natalia and Walter were while planning and staying in Rome. By the way the added cell phone was a nice feature. Thanks for your hospitality."
