  • Great experience

"We rented this apartment for a month this winter. It is a great apartment, very clean, spacious and inviting. We looked forward to returning every day. The apartment sleeps five people easily--we were just two--and the kitchen is large enough to accommodate a table and chairs, while the living room has two couches and table and chairs, as well as attractive bookshelves. The building is very quiet and located on a tiny street very close to the Vatican--even so, you do not feel that you are in a touristy area. In fact, Prato (the area just north of here) is very Roman and untouristy, with lovely stores and good food shopping. The excellent Trionfale market is about 10 minutes walk from here. But perhaps the best thing about this lovely apartment is Francesca, who manages it. She is extremely helpful, booking taxis from the airport and to the train station and would write frequently to see if we needed anything. I would strongly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome."

  • Incredible Location

"If you want to stay in the historic center, this is THE location. It's one block away from Piazza Navona, where all day and night long everyone, tourists and locals alike, hang out and stroll around. The street the apartment is on is very happening, with many restaurants and shops to choose from. The living room window opens to the street so you can have some excellent people watching and wine drinking from the comfort of the apartment. The apartment was very clean, the bedroom bed comfortable, and the kitchenette adequate for making small meals. Although the apartment is on a busy street and people are out at all hours, the bedroom window opens up to the apartment courtyard which is quiet and peaceful. The owner is easy to get in touch with, and waited for us almost an hour to show up to let us in the apartment as we were late due to trying to make sense of Rome's bus system! Speaking of buses, the apartment is right next to a major bus stop on Corso Victorio Emmanuele, so it's easy to get wherever you want to go (once you figure out the Roman transportation system, of course). Two things to keep in mind about this apartment- one, the bathrooms are downstairs from the living and bedroom areas. For me normally this wouldn't be an issue, but being eight months pregnant it was difficult to walk up and down the narrow stairs several times every night, so keep that in mind for elderly or disabled guests. Two, there is no WiFi. You can't even "borrow" from neighbors or businesses. The listing states both of these, but just be aware in case either of these points are important to you. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay here very much, and were sorry to leave."

  • A very special home with thoughtful service

"This property exceeded our expectations, and it is actually better than advertised: the layout, furniture, décor, equipment, palace, location, views are truly beautiful. We particularly appreciated some the spaciousness - not only of the surface but also of the high ceilings - the sober yet beautiful décor, quiet, the perfect location, the views of Rome, they all gave us a feeling of serenity. Rome's infinite charms can exhaust you, and the apartment was our beautiful shelter after an intense day of sightseeing. At night we would open the windows to hear the water gushing from the Turtle Fountain beneath, which was our wonderful Renaissance lullaby. We also appreciated the attentive service provided by Morris and by the landlord. In August, when everything slows down in Rome, we were taken care thoughtfully, and they provided us with a stroller same day we asked. We felt special guests in a very special home, and we will definitely be back."

  • 5 Star Except...

"There are so many 5-star features of this apartment. First and foremost is Cecelia. We had complications with our travel due to illness. She was very gracious and lovely in working with us. The apartment is spacious and the 2 updated bathrooms are great. The location is fantastic - close to Colosseum, ancient Rome, taxis, subway and more. The apartment is VERY clean and the view - well its better than 5 star. The one issue we had with the apartment was the noise. Between the street noise (which we aren't used to) and the club below (loud music from 7am - 1am) the noise is very loud. Make sure you have a noisemaker and earplugs. If you are used to city noises and can sleep easily, this apartment is an excellent choice."
