  • Roman Perfection!

"This apartment was the building block for our perfect vacation in Rome. Initially nervous about what all the travel books say about Rome being a frantic city, this apartment offered calm and comfort at the end of every historically and culturally rich day. The location offers the perfect mixture of proximity to all the main historical sites and an authentic look at daily life in Rome. The furnishings are comfortable, the bedrooms quiet, the kitchen complete, and the terrace is an absolute dream. We loved every moment we spent there, and I cannot wait to return!"

  • 10 nights in this apartment

"Apartment is about a 10 minute walk to Colosseo Metro Station (Blue Line) and Manzoni Metro Station (Red Line). At the front door, turn right to Colosseo. Turn left to Manzoni. We found this handy because sometimes switching lines in Termini Station can be a zoo. So depending on where you are going, you can choose your line right from the start. If you don't want to walk, there is a bus stop about a 2 minute walk away. The # 85 bus will take you to either metro station. The same bus stop has other buses. We did use the bus system and fumbled a bit. If you can use the bus system well, it can save a lot of walking. There is a handy small grocery store right downstairs to buy heavy items like milk and fruit. Heavier items can be purchased from the Carrefour-Express about a 10 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants about a 5-minute walk away. The furniture is a little old, but adequate. Easy to get lots of fresh air from opening the big windows. Shutters and windows function well. Apartment is safe. Elevator is important for a 5th floor apartment. This is an interior unit, which means you don't hear any traffic noise and can sleep well. There is some standard household activity sounds from the other units in the building if you leave windows open, but everyone is quiet from about 11 pm to 7 am, so we did not find this to be an issue. Tip: The internet connection is strongest in the dining room corner next to the kitchen. Connection is low in living room or bedrooms. Paolo is a very nice and helpful. He arranged for our taxi from the airport and to the train station. He is also a very responsible owner. He was out of town when we arrived, but he still arranged for a very nice lady to check us in who gave us excellent service and helped us a lot. Both Paolo and this lady speak excellent English, which also helps. Some items which needed replenishing and replacement were provided immediately. The hot water tank is small and takes several hours to reheat. So we needed to be extremely frugal with hot water use when showering. Other items we were happy to have: microwave, washing machine, clothes rack, electric kettle."

  • Perfect Penthouse!

"This clean and updated apartment was a perfect spot to see tourist attractions in Rome-close to the Metro and walking distance from many sites. The layout is a bit quirky (because a renovation of an older style) but very comfortable. It is on a quiet street so you feel as if you are temporarily a resident, not a tourist. Chiara is lovely; she will give you tips on good restaurants in the area. We loved it!"

Trevi Travel Tips

Dream Vacations in Rome's Trevi Villas

Trevi villas are in a prime location for the vacation of your dreams. Anyone who has studied Rome knows that it is one of the most historically rich places in the world. Visitors to Trevi villas can usually walk to a plethora of places. The Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the bridges of Tiber River, and the Spanish Steps are just a few of the must see vacation places.

Choose a Vacation Rental instead of a Hotel

While you can also see these places if you stay in a hotel, being able to relax in a warm home-like atmosphere only enhances the experience. A hotel in a tourist-filled city like Rome tends to be a busy place, full of people who are in a hurry to get somewhere. When renting an apartment for your stay, there is no need to worry about the crowds once you have left the street.

Much to See and Do

Small, fresh-air markets are plentiful in Rome and a great place to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. Walking around in the markets and getting a feel for the city can be fun as well. Rome vacation rentals can give you a closer to daily life experience for those who are in Rome for the first time.

Join the Party

Many Trevi apartments are specifically described as being made for just one or two people. The quiet atmosphere lends itself to peaceful sleep away from stress as well as a romantic weekend for two. Some Trevi apartments, however, can sleep between four and six people, thus making it a great deal for a group getaway as well. Splitting the costs between all of those who are going will save you all money in the long run.
