"This was the first of 3 Italy apartments my family of 5 (3 teenagers) stayed in - and ranked the favorite by my kids. They liked its size and we all absolutely loved the location - which is hands-down the reason why you should stay here. I can't really think of any other compliments; I felt like it met our basic needs. I am not sure why but "meeting time" here seems to be +10 minutes. Our driver called twice. It was nice of Alessandro to carry our suitcase up. It was a lot of stairs up but I knew that and no one complained even though it added to the 10 miles we had already walked each day. I thought it was funny that when I asked where to catch the bus to the Vatican he told me to use the metro or the Internet. The layout of the apartment was not easy to comprehend online: the kitchen, master, bathroom, dining and living rooms are on one level. Then 3 rooms have spiral stairs up to 3 separate lofts - one which has a side area and bathroom with shower. We loved having 2 showers! The kitchen was cramped and difficult to use, esp if you are taller than 6 feet. We cooked basic meals. We did laundry and rather than hang the clothes out to dry, I hung it on the staircases - so I wouldn't drop it down to the ground below. I appreciated having a bottle of laundry soap to use, and the basic instructions someone wrote. The apartment was very dark. Air conditioning worked very well. There was street noise til quite late every night but I think that is part of the ambiance. We called a closed- off area in front of the colosseum "our patio" and had nightly drinks there. Try delicious, affordable pizza at nearby Li Rioni - which fills up fast."

"We stayed here with our two kids in Jan 2015 - this is what we loved:
1) the apartment was clean, organized, and stocked well - everything functioned properly. It is spacious and laid out nicely and decorated tastefully
2) The manager and helpers were very organized and helpful and most importantly, on time. We utilized the car service to and from the airport. In fact, I left my phone in one of the cars and it was returned to me two days later, no problems; there was also a local/Italian cell phone available for our use when we arrived
3) Wifi, was functional but intermittent sometimes, mainly in the evening
4) Location was superb - walkable to termini (20 min), good shopping, gorgeous piazza, excellent takeout pizza (Magnifico), Spanish Steps, (10 min), Barberini subway (2 min)- I went jogging in VIlla Borghese park daily, just a 15 min walk (brisk)
We would book again at this apartment for our next trip
Only potential downside - 4th floor walk up (which was fine with us, to burn off all pizza and pasta and gelato)
Also there was some early AM construction next door, but this encouraged early wake ups to snap us out of our jet lag and go sight seeing !"
