  • Lovely apartment in a fantastic location

"My first trip to Rome and we could not have picked a better location to stay. It was so easy to get to and from all the major sites but also so convenient for early morning coffee and croissant and so many restaurants to choose for dinner. We were also close to many roof top bars which were great to explore and rate. The apartment is very light and quiet being off the street in a courtyard. Everything worked well and the wifi is fast! Susanna was welcoming and showed how the apartment worked, and was very prompt in responding to emails. My only concern was payment was only by cash but this worked out in the end. Will have this apartment at the top of the list when we return."

  • Roman fantasy

"I could reiterate all that the previous reviewers have said about this apartment; the apartment and its owner were both wonderful beyond expectation. My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks in this lovely apartment located in a non-touristy neighborhood in southern Rome. This was our second time in Rome, but quite different from our first stay when we did visit most of the tourist spots. This time, we found ourselves just living in the neighborhood, trying to immerse ourselves as best we could in Roman residential life. Almost every day, I went to the farmers' market next to the apartment building to buy food for the day, and to the fabulous Albanesi bakery a couple of blocks away for various types of breads. Sounds simple, but I very much enjoyed just getting to know the neighborhood and observing the residents live their everyday lives. I appreciated becoming somewhat familiar with everyday Roman life, and noticing the residents' taking time to engage with one another in conversation and to enjoy the simple pleasures of life (of which there seem to be many in Italy!). There seems to be a real wisdom in this kind of lifestyle, and a lesson for me to somehow integrate into my too busy life in the States. Giorgio was a most gracious, generous and genuine host. He was very responsive to my questions during our stay, and would e-mail me suggestions of sites to visit. As the other reviewers have stated, he did all he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his apartment to others travelling to Rome, especially to those who want to get a taste of Roman life away from the tourists, and who want to practice their Italian language skills. The apartment is indeed quiet at night; we had no problems sleeping peacefully. The terraces are perfect not only for meals but for reading, writing or just musing on life. Needless to say, I was sad to leave Rome and this apartment, so am hoping for a return visit!"

  • A Dream Come True at the Flowers Penthouse!!!!

"I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in Rome. The "Flowers Penthouse" is absolutely beautiful and charming. It is extremely accessible to public transportation. It has an amazing Sicilian restaurant right next door and a great bar (cappuccino) next door as well. The terrace is breathtaking!! It does not have an elevator, so if you have mobility issues you may want to take climbing stairs into consideration. Overall I'm very happy I chose to stay here, Cinzia and Renata are the absolute best and I look forward to my next visit to Rome and my stay at the "Flowers Penthouse" Ciao!!!"

  • Lovely apartment in the heart of Rome

"We loved this place. It was our first time in this amazing city, and we felt totally immersed in the beauty, culture, history and life of Rome. This apartment was integral to our experience. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy Rome at its best. And a big bonus was Barbara, the owner, and her friend Stefanie. They both went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time. Bottled water, juice, teas, coffee and snacks were provided in the apartment, along with all kinds of information, maps and books. In addition, they were very helpful in providing directions to the apartment and advice for getting into Rome, and they arranged a ride to the airport for us at a very reasonable price. We definitely will be back."
