Large apartment in great location
"My two teenage kids and I stayed for a week in this apartment. We had plenty of room with two bedrooms and a nice sized living room/dining room area. My kids were couch potatoes after a long day of touring. They were so comfortable here. Like everyone says, it is quiet. I only saw one other person on the stairwell the whole week we stayed there. The photos are accurate except that the shower is changed. It is new and really nice. It is a proper shower with a glass door. It is no longer a bathtub. I could easily make a simple dinner in the kitchen. There is an easy to use grocery store called Coop at the end of the street. Giorgio showed me where it was when I arrived. I would buy food in the morning because the shop gets crowded in the evening. Don't forget to weigh your own produce before bringing it to the cashier. I loved the street we were on. To be in the heart of so much action you just have to walk out of the building. Everything was there. It is more of a pedestrian alleyway than a street. There are very few cars that come down it and they go really slowly when they do. There were loads of restaurants, shopping and gelato right outside the door. It is just two blocks to the Trevi Fountain and another 10 blocks to the Pantheon. It is three long blocks in the other direction to the Metro which is what we used to go to the Colosseum and the Forum. Super easy to get to everything.
Giorgio was very nice and helpful. He is warm and generous. He made us feel welcome in Italy and Rome."

"We were 5 adults staying 5 nights at this lovely apartment and building. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathroom, perfect. AND a beautiful spacious terrace overseeing rooftops and parts of Rome. We also had a private cook, Ms Clara (very nice and helpful lady) coming over and cooked a fantastic dinner on our last night. I Highly recommend doing this. The location couldn't be better with walking distance to a lot of the famous attractions, good shopping and excellent food."

"We have just returned from a ten day visit to Roma, our first overseas trip ever. The apartment was such a boon to us. The central location was outstanding, the building has character and is well kept up. The location of the apartment, near the Vatican, the metro and good shopping and dining, was just as advertised and took a lot of stress away for us first time "do it yourself" travelers.
The apartment is as advertised. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but you only go up and down them twice a day and the way you eat in Italy they will help keep you from gaining weight. The washing machine and kitchen were so nice to have. The bed is firm and comfortable, and my son, who is 6 foot 2 inches, was able to sleep well on the pull out sofa. The WiFi works very well, and the area and building are safe and secure.
We found that, while it was nice to eat out a few times, most days it was less stressful to make our way home and cook a leisurely meal. Carolyn and Gerry are just great. We enjoyed getting to know them via email. They provided truly excellent info on the area and on getting by in Roma. We found the experience of living in the apartment instead of in a hotel to be priceless. We went everywhere on foot and by metro and train, and we learned far more about the people that we would have if we had been confined to a packaged tour."

"My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in October 2015 and had a fantastic time. Paola is very attentive to her guests and speaks excellent English. When one of our bags did not arrive at Fiumicino Airport, Paola was gracious enough to call the airport on our behalf and made sure our bag was found and delivered to us as quickly as possible. This apartment had all the amenities we needed (a big comfortable bed in the separate bedroom, a comfy couch to relax on and catch up on the news on TV, a dining table with chairs to eat that delicious leftover pizza, and a kitchenette with a microwave. The A/C worked great and we made good use of the washer and dryer. We also had access to the rooftop terrace, which we used to watch the sun set, while enjoying a glass of wine. A big plus was the free WIFI, which we used to purchase train tickets online, as well as entry tickets for the major attractions around Rome (no waiting on long lines). The Termini train station is only a twenty minute walk from the apartment, which was very convenient when we took a few day trips from Rome. There is a very good pizzeria right next door, a pharmacy across the street, and a coffee bar a few stores down where we stopped for cappucino and a cornetto almost every day. The apartment is located right in the center of the Centro Storico, so you can walk to all the major sights like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trajan's Market, Piazza Venezia, etc. The Cavour Metro stop is only a few blocks away and there are several buses nearby that we used to get to Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. Overall, the location and accommodations can't be beat. We would highly recommend staying with Paola to all our friends!"
