Recent Vaticano (St. Peters & Vatican) reviews

  • Perfect Location, Comfortable and Great Value

"The apartment is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to be close to Vatican, but away from the crowds. Wonderful quiet, residential neighborhood just south of St. Peter's Square. Food markets, cafe, pharmacy, and good restaurants all within a block or two. When you stay here you don't feel like a tourist, feels like you are a Roman citizen! The apartment itself is identical to the pictures, spacious and comfortable, every detail has been thought of. The bathroom is huge with a full bathtub, great water pressure, and large vanity area. Spotlessly clean. I would definitely not think twice about staying here again. Highly recommend it. Prsicilla and her mom (who checked us in) were most accomodating, even arranging for airport pick-up on arrival and the return. Much better thatn dealing with airport taxis or public transport. They provided many recommendations all of which were wonderful. It really felt like we were borrowing an apartment from a relative. Hope to return soon!"

  • Lovely little apartment!

"This little gem was in a gated apartment complex and although compact, it had everything we needed. Our stay was near the end of September and the weather was gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed the mostly private patio that was serenaded every morning by a nearby neighbor's canaries and budgies. The cabinet that opens up into a kitchen was delightful and was stocked by Orietta with all the essentials. Orietta is the very friendly, helpful owner that lives right next door and is very respectful of your privacy. There is a bus available right outside the apartment but we decided to make a daily walk past the Vatican and bus into Rome city from there. If you are a couple or a single person looking to live amongst the Italians for your stay and away from the tourists, I highly recommend this apartment. We didn't get to see as much of Rome as we wanted in our 4 day stay but we'll be back! And we'll definitely be staying here again."

"We could not have been happier with our stay in this apartment. It is located near everything and easy find. Toni was absolutely wonderful to deal with which made our stay that much better. Having continued assess to him for additional questions and help was another thing that made our stay wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Rome who wants a stress free stay. The place is clean, safe and easy to find. I hope to stay there again in the future."

  • Clean, Modern and HUGE

"First, let me say that this apartment is exactly as described and as the photos depict on the web site: there were no surprises. So, it is very clean, modern, and HUGE. The location is in the Prati neighborhood - an excellent & safe part of Rome within walking distance to the Vatican (we walked there for our tour) This is a super deluxe place - brand new remodeled bathrooms, new furniture - really beautiful! Plenty of light, great showers/bathrooms, easy and nice kitchen. Also, there is an excellent supermarket literally right around the corner, and several terrific restaurants within a very short walk. We had a Roman friend with us as our guide so we kept our rental car and he guided us through the ins and outs of the chaos that is Rome traffic and parking - but I think the advice of the agency is accurate - don't use a car. Better to take taxis, Ubers, buses, or walk...I just can't comment on that as it relates to the apartment since we drove - but nothing took us more than 10-15 minutes to get to. I can say that Prati is very close to all the attractions, but you probably would prefer a short 10 minute cab ride then walking around each day once you get there. That's what we did with our rental car. It was nice to get away from the crowds each evening and come home to this apartment which is in a quiet residential area. The owners even provided a Nespresso machine and a couple sleeves of coffee - which was really nice. I do suggest they get a couple kitchen towels for the flat - (but don't worry - there are plenty of bath towels). As an aside, the building is very secure & quiet. Overall, this is a great apartment and definitely safe, comfortable, and well furnished. I would highly recommend it."
