  • Completely superb! AAA+

"When I look for a place on VRBO, I'm looking for cool (temperature), quiet, clean, dark at night, and special. This place has all those things and more - I could not recommend it higher. The two air conditioners work very well! The remote can be a little confusing, but after playing with it for a while I found the silent mode. Never in my life have I seen an AC put out that much cold while being that quiet. It is easy to sleep (both naps and at night) with it on. The apartment is very quiet, no road noise. I'd say there is one exception, and that is the concerts that happen in front of San Giovanni. They can be very loud, and easily heard within the apartment. Now, just because they can be heard doesn't mean they would keep a person up. One bordered on that during our stay, but the good news is that they all ended by 12:15AM. So, if you are a super light sleeper and need to get to bed early, then maybe you have a problem. Otherwise, it's not a big deal. The first night of our stay had a jazz concert, and it was actually very nice to listen to. It can be a plus! The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Both inside and on the patio, there is nothing to make you feel grungy or uneasy at all. The doors to the patio have shutters, so you can shut out all light there. The door into the other room just has a drape over it, but it blocks most light and there are certainly no street lights blaring in your face while trying to sleep. The view is spectacular, with a great setting. The patio is spacious, with good chairs and a table. It has a number of plants, which give a nice atmosphere. Very private patio, all things considered. The owner is very gracious, honorable, and considerate. We had a number of problems with our arrival, and Maurizio was very kind to help us work through them. Internet - 11mbps down, 11mbps up, 10ms ping, strong and consistent WiFi Water - Clean, tastes good, ice cubes in freezer, good pressure, hot for showers Location - Very well situated, easy subway access. Some reviews question the safety of the area, but a lot of Rome is very different from London or US. Door has about eight bolts that move on one lock. Plus, there is a locked building door at the bottom. Extremely safe. Stairs - Yep, there are quite a number. It's worth it, though. Kitchen - Well stocked Communication - Excellent and responsive! Overall, I could not be happier. I've already recommended it to friends!"

  • Heart of Rome

"The Stoll Apartment was a perfect location for my families first visit to Rome. It had plenty of room for me, my wife and our twin 11 year old boys and helped us get a real feel for the city. The owners local agent met us at the door the morning we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know about the place. We were off exploring the city in no time and spent 7 great nights there. The washing machine and dryer were key since 11 year olds tend to get gelato all over themselves. The apartment felt very secure, the wifi worked well, the bathrooms were very modern and outdoor space was fantastic. The vibrant street life right outside the door really helped get you into the vibe of the city. A dozen restaurants and bars were just steps away and great gelato shop was right across the street. We pretty much walked everywhere but when we did take a cab, we simply walked a block to a cab stand. I will definitely stay here on our next visit."

  • Chenza NJ

"The apartment was exactly as described on VRBO. Very comfortable, close to terrific restaurants, and convenient to all of central Rome. Susanna the owner was very helpful. Nice to have an elevator for getting luggage to the apartment. Two restaurants, Da Sergio and La Quercia were very close by and excellent. Don't miss the Abbey Theatre Tavern close to Piazza Navona. Would recommend this property for any couple."

  • Perfect Location, Comfortable and Great Value

"The apartment is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to be close to Vatican, but away from the crowds. Wonderful quiet, residential neighborhood just south of St. Peter's Square. Food markets, cafe, pharmacy, and good restaurants all within a block or two. When you stay here you don't feel like a tourist, feels like you are a Roman citizen! The apartment itself is identical to the pictures, spacious and comfortable, every detail has been thought of. The bathroom is huge with a full bathtub, great water pressure, and large vanity area. Spotlessly clean. I would definitely not think twice about staying here again. Highly recommend it. Prsicilla and her mom (who checked us in) were most accomodating, even arranging for airport pick-up on arrival and the return. Much better thatn dealing with airport taxis or public transport. They provided many recommendations all of which were wonderful. It really felt like we were borrowing an apartment from a relative. Hope to return soon!"
