  • Lovely Apartment, Lovely Host

"My friend and I stayed at this apartment from 3-7 December. It is in a very good location. We walked to and from all the major sites. And we are two middle-aged women:-) Because of being in city center you need to expect there will be street noise. But it helps to close the wooden shutters at night. It helps with the noise and light. It was fun just to sit at the window and watch what was going on outside. The apartment is located on a quaint, typical old italian street. You feel like a local. There are restaurants and grocery stores located in the same block, so very convenient. The apartment has everything needed. Paola could not have been more helpful or kind. Definitely would recommend this apartment or another one owned by Paola. Grazie, Paola!"

  • Third Time in Rome - Best apartment

"This was our third stay in Rome and this is the best apartment we have had. A little farther away from "the action" than the others but still close enough to walk and way more quiet. I would only repeat what others have said about the apartment.... just lovely. Monika is easy to contact and very quick to respond to any questions. When we come back to Rome we will try to stay here again... And yes we tossed coins into Trevi Fountain so it looks like we will be back. For anyone staying here... bus 280 is your friend. If you find yourself, say, in the Campo de Fiori after a long day just walk only a few blocks to the Lungotevere and catch a 280 and be dropped off at the street corner near the apartment (even closer than Lepanto metro stop). Catch 280 to go to Trastevere or Testaccio ... You must go to Volpetti! Or if you are going to Antica Ostia jump on 280 and get off outside the door to the Porta San Paolo (connected to the Pyramide metro station) where you catch the train to Ostia. On the other side of the street catch another 280 to get back..."

  • Great apartment in the heart of Rome

"My husband, daughter and I stayed here for four nights. Antonella was lovely to work with, spoke to our taxi driver from the airport to make sure he got us to the right location, showed us the ins and outs of the apartment and answered all our questions. The washing machine was great to have so we didn't have to pack too much and the extra half bath was wonderfully convenient. We absolutely loved the outdoor terrace. It is two stories, filled with plants, and you could throw a stone and hit the Pantheon from it. We spent every night with a glass of wine there, and we hung our clothes there and they dried in no time in the Italian heat. It is small and yes the bathroom shower is really tiny, but that's normal for Rome and it was perfect for us. Miscellena restaurant is right outside and there are lots of great restaurants within a block or two. There is a taxi stand right outside, next to the Pantheon, so we didn't have to drag our luggage at all when it was time to leave. We walked everywhere we went and found this location to be a perfect base. There is a piazza in front of the Pantheon that's hopping on weekend nights with live music, vendors, etc. Lots of fun. All in all, I highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Antonella!"

  • Wonderful Apartment, Even Better Owner

"We've just returned from Paolo's apartment where we had a marvelous and unforgettable experience. We were initially planning to only tour Spain on our visit to see our daughter who is in the US Navy, stationed in Southern Spain. Two weeks before our visit, our daughter expressed the desire to spend Christmas in Rome. With zero knowledge of Rome and very limited experience with VRBO, we lucked into this listing. The apartment is exactly as advertised; great location, bright, spacious, well equipped and welcoming. More importantly Paolo, the apartment's owner, is a true superstar as a host. Our weird schedule had us arriving at Midnight; no problem. We wanted to get a tour of the Vatican on the sold out morning of Christmas Eve; no problem. Our other daughter and her friend needed a place to stay an extra night after we left; no problem. We needed help securing airport transport on Christmas morning; no problem. Paolo personifies everything great about private flat rental and hospitality. I can't thank Paolo enough, or recommend his apartment highly enough."
